Have you ever known a journalist or reporter? Of course there are those who invent stories or who intentionally twist the truth to fit their employers' views, but that isn't journalism. Tabloids ('National Enquirer', for example) & some television & internet sources that present themselves as sources that report the news but which actually present reports that are intentionally distorted to reflect a particular point of view (such as Fox, which is an entertainment corp., not a news agency) are not representative of legitimate journalists. Also, there is a major difference between editorials & news reports-- journalists & reporters who present their (or their employers') point of view are often mistaken for news reporters by viewers who don't recognize the difference, which has become less clear than it was in the days when newspapers & TV news programs made it very clear when an editorial was being given. Also, the paparazzi who chase sensational stories are not considered journalists. The pair shown hounding Morse in this program were paparazzi. Respectable journalists don't do that. A respectable journalist might push sources for more information, making them uncomfortable, but hounding sources at home or at work like these two did is disrespectable. Those in this program were trying to stir up trouble & cause a sensation, to make a scandal & make money off it. Of the journalists I've known, at least one did risk her life to investigate & report on illegal activities by the warden & staff at a state prison, which included severe abuse of female prisoners over a period of many years-- the investigative journalist repeatedly risked her life to uncover the truth, in an effort to help change these horrific conditions, & when she got too close to exposing the head warden she almost paid with her life. Other journalists I've known were involved in reporting less dangerous stories but they were no less intent on finding out & reporting real news, not fake or sensationalistic material. They all had degrees in journalism & worked for reputable agencies which expected that.

@@janegarner6739 I have known and have had to work with dozens of them, both print and broadcast. With few exceptions they are arrogant, judgmental, smug, lying pricks and prickettes. They wear their pathetic personal agendas like glittering crowns, and follow each other off of cliffs. They pose as society's saviors, when in fact they have nothing but contempt for most people. They have no respect for anyone who disagrees with them, or even politely begs to differ. They are increasingly bitter because they have chosen a profession that is circling the drain, which makes them even more vicious. And they have been thoroughly brainwashed by the journalism "schools." But you just go on believing what heroes they are. That is what they want you to believe.

"Inspector Morse" Happy Families (TV Episode 1992
Mil grasias este capítulo es grandioso.
impresionante!!!
That was very good. Thanks for sharing this.
Love Inspector Motis. Sad what news reporters and political people do to make their own name for themselves and of course the money that comes with it. And inspit of it all. Mores gets his killer. Thank you for sharing. God bless
Excelente ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you. Gracias. Pobre Morse. Great to see it in English with Spanish subtitles. Forty days of staying in place. (April 2020)
👍👌👏 Simply fantastic! Thanks a lot for uploading and sharing this great series episode. Best regards, luck and health.
Now that was an incredible crime movie. Super worth watching. Thank you so much for posting.
Good gravy! What an intense Morse episode! 😀
John Thaw! Never seems to disappoint.
Kenneth Pizzi Only by dying... which wasn't his fault. R.I.P.
He is way too cool.
Inspector Morse, "Happy Families", 1992, Series 6, Episode 2
Holeecrap - just the first scan of faces in the room made me happier with every addition.
Dear Carol I am 63 and have the same problem I watch them over and over and they always end the same...even in America and the Mountains of Utah...
It’s Doc Martin!
Marshes’s little red car 🚗 is beautiful. My first car 🚗 was a bright red Volkswagen. 🚗🚗🚗
Super young. Doc. Martin. !!
I appreciate the accurate depiction of bottom-feeding journalists in this episode. With few exceptions they are nasty pieces of work.
Oh please.....they don't have any in China or Russia and other dictatorships.
ESTÁN TRADUCIDAS AL ESPAÑOL EN SUBTÍTULOS MAGNÍFICOS !!! 💕💕💕💕💕
Anna Massey, daughter of renowned Canadian actor Raymond Massey and niece of Governor General Vincent Massey of Canada. She has appeared on Midsomer Murders as well. Written in Blood, Season 1, Episode 2. Miss her. RIP Anna.
Exquisite 👍👍. Thank you 😊
Morse was great, the story lines were great, the acting was great. Pity that every Superintendent had to be depicted as an egocentric imbecile. I am sure the British police deserved better.
I suspect it's not far from the truth.
If upstairs or media negative exclude them and get on with the job.
Excelente episodio, me encanta!!!
Hope that these aren't taken down, they might not be on the ITV records for long!
Still here: 2021.
This was one of my favorite Morse.
What a treat . A young man actor who will become Doc Martin, and a most interesting actress, I know her as Honoria, from Midsomer Murders, written in Blood. Plus Inspector Japp from Poirot as a lab swell. wowser...Fascinating plot, Thank you for sharing it. Chief Inspector Morse has that wall full of all kinds of awards, and that younger snip is telling him to act correctly. o ho at 1.20 I guessed the guilty one... .
Another one. Isn't that journalist a young Lestrade from Sherlock.
Metal Mark Yes, I believe it is.. Good eye.
EXCELENTE !!!!
Genial Morse. Muchas gracias!!!!
Bravo! CI Morris is a very good series 👏🏻
Thank you for sharing
A fantastic episode
Excelente
So this is what Brian from New Tricks did before he joined UCOS he got on Morse's nerves in Oxford. Doc Martin did it lol
And Lestrade from Sherlock was a journalist!
Subtítulos en español !!! MAGNIFICOS !!! 💕💕💕💕💕 IDIOMA ORIGINAL LO MEJOR DE LO MEJOR !!! ESO ES ARTE !!!
Subtitulos en español magistrales !!! 💕💕💕💕💕
Incubator for some very big stars!
Great plot!
Anna Massey is magnificent
Well done.
One of the best episodes. The two sons and the father deserve everything that's coming to them!
great
Exceptionally good, great acting, great story. Thank you
Jessica is portrayed by Charlotte Coleman who also played the adorable, ditzy redhead in Four Weddings And A Funeral. What a superb actress she is! One instantly relates to her spontaneous reality.
Susie Guglielmino Also the lead coming of age in Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit w the devilishly delicious Geraldine McEwan (of Miss Marple & Much Else fame). Miss both, esp the latter. But Coleman died so young (34) & apparently completely unexpectedly.
Oh yes, I see it now. I thought the actress was Jenny Tomasin at first, but when I looked up Tomasin I saw she had never been on Inspector Morse. So I knew that I knew that face, but did not know from where until I read your comment, Susie.
Susie Guglielmino I thought it was Charlotte Coleman. A fine actress and a sad loss as she left far too soon
The professor Masterson (Ralph Nossek) friend of Morse appears also in the first episode of A Touch of Frost (Care and protection).
Gracias Paquito, la disfruté.
Rupert Graves plays a right and proper ponce, isn’t he?
Excelentes me encanta
There is absolutely nothing more dispicable on earth than a news reporter, and they're getting worse by the day. That's truth not fiction.
Anything Anna Massey appears in. Always good! I’m happy 😍
Gracias me encanta esta serie
