The world's most valuable digital currency, bitcoin, went through another "halving" over the weekend. It saw its daily supply of newly minted coins cut by 50 per cent. CNA takes a look at how it works.

I always believe the believers will be rewarded. I gave it a chance go deeper into it really glad i did it. Even after halving there is bitcoin eco system that is booming now is feeding off all the miners. when Btc runs the whole eco runs with it. Runes is the key word here.
I think it is just about their price rise and drop, by softness of the gold(dust, sandy like liquid)? So if an investment for 1 Bitcoin like a Luck thing, 50% buying tip with someone? "At that moment the available type of Bitcoin is a price of ..."(By the sizetype). If soft, making an item is faster, if big, like for a duration at lavamaking point, should be. Bitcoin has a lower inflation rate than gold and it's more efficient than the gold supply chain . And much more convenient. Did they say that about gold or the stock market? Or the housing bubble or the biggest scam in history, fiat. Bitcoin is pure. And it's going much higher much faster than the stock market. It's much more efficient way to trust money than banks governments and mining gold. You've clearly never invested in your life . I'm never selling my coin and buying more everyday. You have no idea what limited suppllu means do you because you live in a money printing society where the prices of everything go up. Money is supposed to be deflationary . Everything is supposed to be getting cheaper but they print more money so everything gets more expensive .because we've stretched the American dollar so thin. Do your own research. Resource companies creates value off nature. Government tax everyone controversially, not going to get into the details, and just enough to distribute equally to make everyone happy and comfortable. Technology companies creates value off innovation in exchange of money. Service companies creates value off convenience in exchange of money. Education companies creates value off knowledge and relevant training. Self-employed creates value off how they can convince people to support their work. And so on... Entrepreneur creates value off new company stock ticket for stock market to play with via their knowledge and connection. Worker creates constant value off being a cog. Rich people just need to be born in already rich family, business, property, support, connection, tradition, freedom, country, privilege, etc. Or marry via pretty privilege. They don't ever work for their money. Their money make money via investment. Bitcoin is a form of investment. However, just like any other investment, you must buy low and sell high. Meaning early joiners get to enjoy the benefit more. Late joiners get to enjoy less. Once bitcoin reached its full capacity, the value of it will stagnate. Since none can be added or remove, it final valuation will be worth how much money was laundered in. Imagine a full unit of bitcoin worth an unimaginable amount, like 89,935.18SGD. No ordinary person make everyday purchase of that amount. They would most like be using a very small fraction, like a Satoshi unit. Now who know of the future if a bitcoin satoshi unit wouldn't be subdivided like a splitting a stock. Once bitcoin is fully mined, it is just another case of they vs us. You will have newer generation not being able to participate in the previous early phase of bitcoin where their value would be increasing and are now stuck with a fixed value bitcoin. Bitcoin will just act as at most a ISO standard for money. Good for pinning countries fiat monies to track the inflation. Now imagine, would a bitcoin or a satoshi bitcoin holder be willing to trade their bitcoin money for goods and service or would they use fiat money? Of course they would use fist money since they longer they hold onto the bitcoin, the more value they have compared to inflated fiat money. But what the use of bitcoin if it would never be used? No bitcoin would circulate. But human nature rarely play a perfect zero sum game. Some bitcoin may actually be use as an agreed median for exchange of goods and services. But I think most of them will end up collecting virtual dust, in their virtual safe, not able to fulfill their duty of being a shell, pearl, or real coin. Also, the amount of electrical waste due to mining is very funny. You are converting mother nature into virtual value. We don't even have renewable energy being implemented fully due to oil lobbyists. Just saying the declining birth rate of developed countries produced more waste than increasing birth rate of developing countries. They need the exploitation of resources from developing countries, to keep the exchange rate in check, and need foreign workers to do low paying dirty work, yet complain when people immigrate for better pay and they migrate to lower cost of living expense. The invisible hand of free market. Each person will have their own struggle or benefit. Those who stay comfortable the most will struggle when things change. Those who benefit the most will stay comfortable.
