What is Trailmakers?
Trailmakers is a sandbox-style video game developed by Flashbulb Games. In this game, players are given the freedom to design and build various vehicles, ranging from cars and planes to boats and more, using a variety of modular parts. The game encourages creativity and engineering skills as players assemble their unique creations. These vehicles can be used to explore a vibrant open-world environment with diverse landscapes, solving puzzles, completing challenges, and uncovering hidden secrets. Trailmakers offers a combination of building, exploration, and physics-based gameplay, providing a fun and engaging experience for players who enjoy crafting and testing their own vehicles in an open-world setting.

  • i think this is interesting because the tactics that are best suited to the grade of weaponry available in trailmakers rn would be WWII era dogfighting. the weapons don’t change course mid way through or have ballistic computers giving you ideal lead indicators. there’s no high-off bore-sight missile shots. it’s just point and shoot with a decent level of lock on angles (unlike real planes where it shoots the same direction your nose is pointing). but things like merging and choosing to play two circle vs one circle still apply. like the maneuvers we have today are still technically more viable than random patterns, but they’re more tailored to less close in fighting than what the “technology” of trailmakers is able accommodate

    • This is the case when fighting glitchless, but trying to pull any modern irl manuevers in a rectangle going 2000 kph with near instant turning and lock on machine guns with a rpm of 999999 is near impossible and completely useless

    • I wish more people would at least try get good at dogfighting in Trailmakers, instead i just find myself mostly fighting people with super unrealistic jets jam packed full of guns, even in so called 'dogfighting' servers, such a shame.

    • @suicidalbanananana i am good at making very high-performance planes without crossing the "this is op" line. They also look quite good. My F15-based build is a ton of fun to fly, quite maneuverable, and looks rlly good to boot

  • day 17 Could you please make a zero powercore sailing battle with actual sailing tec wehre you can basically sail against the wind (you don’t actually sail against the wind just in a very steep angle) It should take place on all of the hig seas regions

  • Awesome Vid! great build too,, only one little thing.. you put the navigation lights on the wrong side. Red is on the left wing and green is on the right. I'm a pilot and aircraft mechanic too :) not fighters tho. general aviation.

  • Coooooool!!! I was actually watching another youtuber ("Growling Sidewinder") fight another real world F/A-18C Hornet Pilot ("ATE CHUET") in a youtube video that i randomly got recommended a few weeks ago (probably _because_ of watching so many of your jet videos haha) and it did help me get better hehe, great minds think alike! 👍 The biggest thing i learned from that collab video is to not neglect the rudder & that did translate surprisingly well to trailmakers, i can actually outturn much faster planes now & also got better at dodging auto-aim 😁 Please do more collabs with @permanentground and also please ask them to explain some of the tactics about maintaining speed etc that set a beginner and pro apart (for as far as allowed ofc)

  • Day 21 of asking for an Torpedo bombers vs Shark on high seas. The bombers can only use on Large prop and have 2 torpedos that they can only be dropped below an set altitude. The shark can only use melee attacks and armor plates don’t count to the block limit. The controls get split like one player has pitch and yaw control and the other player has roll and bite/etc. controls.(sry if my English is bad I’m german)

  • Actually you can doghfight in two diffrent ways: -The first method is called "one circle" and it's when two aircraft fly in opposite directions and then one of them makes a right turn, but the second pilot makes the left turn. To win this kind of dogfight you want to make a tighter turn (pull harder on stick), but it depends on your speed. -The second kind of a dogfight is "two circles", when both pilots flying in opposite directions make a turn to the same way. The hornet, becouse of its areodynamics and fly by wire system is going to want to force a one circle fight and the speed that is perfect for winning a one circle fight is equal to around 300kts.

  • I have one thing to say. Flying in trailmakers is nothing like flying in real life. Although potentially strategy might go over, but flying ability would not go over unless you use a stick and throttle.

  • Why not have a 4v4 and have two Big cruisers with one pilot, one person rotating the shields inside, one person manning the blasters, and one launching the player created weapons such as mines, launchable explosives, or one detatchable small fighter. Have the Space cruisers fly through the map until one goes down. Is this possible??

  • Cobra is horrible if they already have a reliable lock on you because you have to initially loss speed to pull it off and when you actually do it then your speeds dead
