Oh yes :) I found the wife endearing too-when she was asked by the judge for how long they'd been happily married, she answers "almost 43 years" (after herself volunteering that they'd been happily married for 43 years and the husband responding "yes dear"). That's a candid admission that the relationship hasn't always been a dance on roses, but on the whole it's been mostly good. She comes off as bossy; I'm not sure what the couple is like when it's just the two of them. It might be that she's happy to fight back against outsiders but warm towards those close to her. Also, she's comfortable joking with the judge ("you don't have to take me to dinner"); I don't get strong Karen vibes from her.
