SYNOPSIS
The spring of 1990 was special for this old Kopite whose son was born
weeks before Liverpool won their 18th League title.
For 30 years he’s dreamed about this day,
now they can finally share the moment.
No victory parade and social distancing means his emotions are bitter-sweet and he leaves home en-route to his son’s house laden with memories of his own father and past victory parades which echo around Anfield and City Centre streets now deserted.
When he arrives at his son’s house the sight of the facade draped with famous/historic Liverpool FC banners moves him. His son and grandson wave from inside the window.
Three generations of reds separated by glass but together as one.

My grandfather was born in 1900 - he was taken to his first Liverpool game by his Dad in 1909! My Dad was a red and now my son goes to the match with me, so he's a 5th generation Red. YNWA

Your not alone. The tears are because we all have similar stories. I remeber being so scared at my first game in the kop, by the end of the match I didnt want to leave. Everytime I feel a bit down, I watch this and remember who I am, thank you

I been a Kop since Kevin Keegan days. Born 12,000 km away from Liverpool, I was blessed to have had the opportunity to do my degree in the UK and of course chose Liverpool University in 1981. Those were halcyon days! Yes, I do believe I didn't choose LFC, but it chose me!

This is me Ma's scarf that she knitted in 1964. It's 56 years old and will end up in our club's museum at some point. Her and Me Da met going the aways in 1966. Top little film and nice one Dave Kirby. Its Paul Dicko Alan's ( RIP lad ) brother here. I actually cried when I seen this on Wednesday. Shes been knitting ones to commemorate this season by the way. I recalled a night I was beaten up by the securities men while returning from a Liverpool match via Viewing Center, Liverpool vs Westham it was, Rafa era the game ended goalless draw in Dec 2008. There was security unrest within the community I was back then but I couldn't do without watching Liverpool game that year we were even a great contender for the league. The game ended 11pm on my way going back home I got nabbed by the securities Men for Walking out late then I received a 1st class beating that night, I valued this epl trophy because of what I have gone through. I've been a red since 1998 back when it was nearly impossible to watch Liverpool play here in the states. I'm not sure if it was by chance but on 3 separate occasions i had the luck to watch Liverpool play. They wore yellow as an away kit. My favorite color is yellow so naturally i said i like that team. I had no idea what i was getting my self into. I didn't wait the 30 years like most supporters i did have to wait 23 years though which is still a long time. I'm not sure how to describe it but the club does pull you in like no other and mind you i support other teams that had or still have droughts from winning titles. Cubs, Bears, and Bulls but Liverpool is just a diferent level of emotion

My daughter has just had her first full kit for her 5th birthday because she saw me in my shirt and declared "I love that shirt daddy, I like the birdie, can I have one please" She was always going to be a Red anyway, but she wanted it NOW. We both wore them on the morning of her birthday, I almost cried. I'm glad she's hasn't had to wait 30 years to see us win the league. She doesn't understand it at the moment, the enormity of it all, the importance, but one day she will. Hopefully she'll have more to celebrate before she finally grasps it.
Liverpool is indeed a family. I hope one day I'll get the opportunity to visit Anfield... Will give anything to be in the stand cheering my beloveth Reds!

My dad followed Liverpool out of the old second division during the sixties. He took me to my first game when I was ten - we beat Tottenham 7-0 and I was petrified on the Kop. We went to the match together from 1978 to 1989 and were very lucky to enjoy almost non-stop success. Hillsborough drew a line under our Anfield visits, but I'm so happy that we were still able to share Istanbul, Madrid and this English League Title. What is the purpose of Dreams, if not for coming true...

It's Scully I loved that series. I've been a supporter of Liverpool for over 40 years. My whole family was. I'm 52 now and The Reds have done it again. What a season it has been for the team and Finally I see them win the league title again. I remember last time in 1990, when my hero was still playing for us Ian Rush. What a play and goal scorer. I was born in '92. And '01 was my first time that I witnessed how much joy to have celebrated my favorite club winning the treble. And after that.. Istanbul 05 to Madrid 19 and many more.. Ups and down or heart attack match etc.. All the greatest memories live on and it's always a part of my life now.. YNWA

My son and I live in Canada and were the 2 biggest fans of this great club, on this side of the ocean. I know everybody says that, but we are. I've followed this club since I was a lad. I'm 64 now and I really got into football at around the age of 6-7. Living over here made it difficult to actually see any matches, but I had an aunt who lived in Liverpool.....she was actually my great aunt. She would send over the Echo, quite a lot and when I had the chance to look at it, I would immediately turn to the back pages and see the results of the matches. It's because of her, I became a Liverpool fan. I got to know, over the years, all the players and coaches and I was enthralled by LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB. There are many Liverpool fans over here and I made sure my son became a BIG Liverpool fan. You see, I met a lass and her family, through a mate of mine who played football with me, over here. He was from Liverpool and so was she. They knew each other back home. I knew I was in a wee bit of trouble when I started to date her because her, her sister and especially her dad, were BIG EVERTON fans. I had nothing to fear....her father was a great guy, even though he use to kid me about both clubs. LOL. Besides, by that time we had already one pretty well everything in this wonderful game. Anyway, I just wanted to say how great this short film was, I'm so proud of this great club and I'm proud to support LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB.

Born in an era of utd dominance, it could have gone so wrong but my dad never let me stray off the red path..I grew to love Liverpool as it tightened my bond with my old man. Our love for Liverpool will be pass on like heritage, we may not be born in Liverpool but we love you ..Proud to be a red!

I'm about the same age as the middle lad. We lost my grandad a year and a half ago who instilled a love of Liverpool in my dad, and then me. This gave me goosebumps and made me cry. What a lovely little film...

My father passed away in 2011 he was an Aston Villa fan but I’ve always been a Liverpool FC fan .There something special about the fans the songs the good and the bad times we go through together . Klopp brought the good time back to club and more importantly 🏆 It was with pleasure to order a new Nike Liverpool shirt for me and friend add the premiership champions badge it took two hours on a Liverpool website in a virtual queue. YNWA love you all .

Oh My God. Mine sadly started during the 1977 F.A.Cup which was cemented before the Rome Final Win. My first match is the away match at WBA & my first and only Anfield trip is also in 1985. Nearly went to Anfield with my family during my last UK trip in the winter of 2018, alas only made it to my second home town, Wolverhampton. Will try to go visit Anfield again with my family.
I adore our manager and players first time I’ve ever seen us lift the premier league trophy and champions league for the first time I wished 2018 we lifted it when we lost Madrid but look at us now Champions of England And Europe brings so many tears to many eyes finally we done it I’ll be passing it on❤️ YNWA

Have seen some amazing things with Liverpool and after the agonising wait I'm in heaven at the moment. One of my lads is a fan but it's left to me to be crazy about LFC. I started following the club since the 70s. I remember names like Heighway, Kennedy (Ray & Alan), McDermott, Hughes. these are some of the earlier I can recall. then the likes of Keegan, Lawrenson(didn’t we call him the super defender?), Clemence. I m not local so the kids follow other teams, even non-English but many friends are Reds. We hold LFC vs MNU golf and happy to record we won it this season 🤣YNWA. and... the 10👎must be MNU followers🤣🤣🤣
