I think part of the reason why Zayn named his album 'Nobody is listening' is that People "hear" the songs, they may stream it on Spotify,youtube or whatever. but how many actually looks really into the lyrics, the reasons why he writes what he writes, the backstories and such.. Likes and views doesn't define the beauty of a song. It's about how the listeners react to the efforts and commitment the artist has put into it. I think it's an understatement to say that his music is not appreciated much. It's more like his emotions aren't appreciated much.

I’m seeing many comments saying “oh we are listening” or “ I guess we are nobody” etc etc many people who have listened to this album are doing exactly what zayn is saying “Nobody is listening” you may be hearing but your not listening and actually thinking about the lyrics and what zayn is trying to tell us we have to really interpret everything and listen. What I think zayn is telling us is how the media conveys him as such a different person that what he actually is an many people fans or not (I’m not saying everybody) believe the media, we don’t (again not everyone) see his side of the story, thankfully not AS much now as before even though I still see hate towards zayn but I remember when he first left one direction people were so mean to him and we’re watching him all the time(hence the faces on the cover of the album) waiting for him to screw up. (again not everyone, I keep saying that so i don’t get attacked) when Zayn left the band he had a VERY valid reason to leave he wasn’t in the best place mentally, he wasn’t happy and he was very stress and felt overworked/ overwhelmed. Many of zayns songs have a message or a story behind it and if you haven’t found them yet I highly encourage you to try and find it or if you can’t do it yourself (which isn’t terrible I used to not be able to do it myself but with time you will be able to ) look it up but on more than one website or ask a friend who also listens to him but if you do it online do it on more than one website because you may find a website that isn’t listening or interpreting the lyrics.. this was a very jumbled comment and I wasn’t sure how to word it specially since English isn’t my first language but I hope it made some sense. By the way this was in no way hate or meant to be hate towards anyone. Much love.

Now, English isn't my native language either so sometime it's a struggle. And the official mv for "It's you" is special; he is trapped in his house, wearing a striped trousers and jacket (like a prisoner). He's only out to one party. There're several different girls at his house but they don't interact with him at all. It's like they are just for show, they have a task.... Sounds familiar? 🤔
