Don’t let regrets be an excuse to NOT live a great life!
Today’s episode of Women of Impact focuses on something that more than 90% of women have - and that’s massive regret on their deathbed!
From not standing up for yourself, to never finding love, or allowing fear to hold you back, I want YOU to stop blaming yourself and stop wishing things could be different so you can get out of regret and live a more happy and fulfilling life!
And here with us to talk about overcoming regrets and living a well-lived life is the AMAZING and frikin’ INSPIRING Gladys McGarey. She’s a doctor that is widely considered the “mother of holistic medicine” and the now-103 year old is sharing her life-changing secrets for how to live with joy, happiness, and purpose at ANY age.
From growing up in India, to life as a doctor and mother of 6, to being served divorce papers after almost 50 years of marriage, Gladys has soooo many inspiring stories and actionable insights to help you listen to your inner voice so you can build your confidence and live life on your own frikin’ terms!
In this episode, we’re diving into:
- How to stand up for yourself in life, so you can find your voice (hopefully earlier than Gladys did at 93!)
- Why you should BE GLAD and forgive instead of holding onto pain
- How you have to stop looking at the mess if you want to be happy
- The unbelievable power of living life in love and letting go
- How to honor yourself, your feelings, and your differences and LOVE YOUR DAMN SELF!!
YOU get to choose what you build your life on, so trust your intuition, and listen to Gladys and her 103 years of wisdom to reclaim your life NOW!

GLADYS’ ENLIGHTENING QUOTES:
"For years, I saw myself as the really not bright one. But I had a lot of thoughts and a lot of things I needed to say. You know, I would make a speech, but in my mind I would say, is that really what you want to say? There was this back in my head saying, was that the right thing or are you going, you know, there was this little monkey on my shoulder that kept saying, are you sure? And it wasn't until I was 93 that I finally accepted my voice because of the way I had accepted life on its terms…"
"But the fact is, if you actually believe that life goes on, you don't have to be afraid."
"We have a choice, and the choice is to either look into the darkness and the pain and the suffering and suffer along with ourselves. And it's very easy to get into that place. It's really hard to look at that place and say, well, yeah, okay, this is really hard, but I don't need to be stuck there and then pull ourselves back and look for the light."
"And if something was said and it was just, you weren't going to hang on to it, instead of taking it in and saying, oh, it hurt my feelings and make it hurt our feelings. Or we could just let the petals land in our hand and say, oh, it doesn't matter, and just let those petals and you won't even remember it."
"It's a matter of where I choose to spend my energy, because the people that don't want to hear what I'm talking about or what I'm saying, they don't need to hear it."

  • This might be your best show! I love listening to older, wise people. Tired of 20’s something offering advice.

    • I know what you mean. But hearing all the ages is also wonderful, even just for learning a new perspective. The younger ones (as shallow as they sometimes come across), struggle too, just as we struggled differently than our elders 😘

  • That’s Eternal life right there. Wow Jesus gave her a word of life by releasing her voice from captivity. And in turns she glorified him by testifying of his Love. Other people are ashamed of God’s word in their life and Claime glory for themselves Mark 8:38 If you are ashamed of me and my words while living among sinful and faithless people, then I, the Son of Man, will also be ashamed of you when I make my appearance with my holy messengers in the glorious splendor of my Father!” She love the Lord so much that she reveal Eternity as Jubilee to set the mentally captive free. She was born for glory and the Lord has not failed her. Jeremiah 1:5 Alleluia Glory to God I will cherish this interview all my life I have all the answers I longed for right here Thank you 🙏

  • This is truly the best podcast I’ve listened to with LB. I so want to hear more. Please bring on more older women for us; heck, interview them twice, three times… there is so much to learn. We can’t meet them all ourselves directly, so please Lisa, connect us to their wisdom through your channel 🙏🏾💕
