  • Carl’s favorite phrase “know I mean”. I don’t agree with everything he said but it’s fun listening to him, he’s just genuine and funny. Thank you Luke for teaching us English in an interesting way!

  • Hi Luke I did listen to the end and it was pretty useful as I've been struggling with listening to the local people talking in everyday life. Thank you and it seems that you've got one more regular listener!

  • I really like this approach to sharing English: take an interesting example of the language IN REAL USE...and mine it for all the things that would be new, interesting, or illuminating for non-native speakers. I have wanted to do more of this type of thing myself, but got gun-shy because those videos tend to run really long...and it took me ages to edit them down to non-epic length. Now, looking at the length you allow yourself, it makes me want to stop fighting my natural tendency to explore the language at length...and just be like you! Go on for as long as it takes to really delve into the details and nuances of English. (Might have to wait until I've got more of an audience established first...and THEN I can give myself the luxury of time the way you do.)

  • You are SUCH a good professional, Luke ! and I love the fact that you haven't got an accent ( if you know what I mean ! ) 😀😆 I spent some time in Cowdray Park Polo Club, in Midhurst, with people who didn't have an accent, either ... They spoke U Language, just like you ! 😀😆 Un abrazo, from Olivos, Buenos Aires, Argentina 🇦🇷🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

  • Thanks Luke, I liked this video lesson (part 1 and 2) a lot 🙏🤩 This guy looks a bit grouchy and "snarky" but he's nice 😃; in the fridge episode he's not quite wrong in my view (among other things, the callout charge is a bit expensive: 30/40 pounds seems to me more reasonable as a price rate). Of course I watched the video to the end but honestly in two parts: last night after dinner and today after lunch......I haven't got much free time on my hands on weekdays 🤷‍♀️ This is a great and fun way to learn vocabulary and get your ear used to other British (or English in general) accents, so thank you again and see you as soon as you can (bye, bye, bye, bye)

  • So here is the episode where I finally catch up with new releases, after not having listened to LEP for quite a while. Random useless information there, here you go. Seriously though, I'd suggest adding a speed change button for the LEP app, just like here. Would be convenient for those who use to listen at higher speeds.

    @TheBrutalDoomer@TheBrutalDoomer2 жыл бұрын
    • There is a speed change button actually. When listening in the app, swipe up from the bottom of the screen (you should see a small tab there) and you can reveal the controls. P.s. well done for catching up P.p.s. It’s “for those who usually listen at higher speeds”

P.D.: More episodes about Karl would be great, my preferred bits are Karl on Anne Frank, on insects or when he is asked to decide which 5 people he would take to rule over a new world, fantastic!

He doesn't have to try to be funny because hes just saying the truth about what he believes an since i speak and think the same as him i very much understand him but i dknt like what you said about him and if you disagree with what he says you must be a very silly person because ive watched over 100 hours of him and i think he would do a better job of running this country than anyone else so dont put him down especially. Since ur job in life is basically a language teacher online which my 7 year old could do easily
