  • The way the UFC has treated Stipe is disgraceful. He’s the longest reigning HW champion in history of the company, they promote his as an All-American Firefighter, they they basically trashed him for choosing to help save lives during Covid and be a firefighter instead of fighting. • @@amg863 " the UFC pay structure was miles better than in boxing contrary to popular belief." If you are at the bottom of the UFC roster. If you are at the top, then the UFC is WORSE (by a long shot) than boxing. The richest UFC fighter needed a boxing match and alcohol sales to create his generational wealth. The UFC alone was NEVER going to get him to that level. That is all the evidence I need to know that the UFC is not good for popular fighters. It works well for less popular fighters and women. The UFC is like Canada. If you are at the bottom of society, then it helps you, but when you are at the top, a lot of your success is taken from you to feed the people at the bottom. If a Presidential Candidate asked Americans to structure American domestic economy the like "the UFC pay structure," then many Republicans who support the UFC would call him a "woke socialist/communist." • I worked at a lot of the fire houses in my city of Huntsville, AL and I can’t remember how many about 5 fire stations I worked in installing generators cause we had some bad tornados that shut the power down to the city for like a week so they installed generators. I respect Stipe and all but that is one lazy job they just hang out but 2 or 3 gotta go to damn near every single emergency 911 call or car wreck there is and that’s basically what they do. Chill and when the bell rings jump in the truck come right back cause there ain’t that many fires. Definitely jealous of the career move cause that is one kush job that pays good and great benefits! I was a combat medic in the Army too so I ain’t just a carpenter and electrician. Anyway Roll Tide

  • I really like Stipe and as a long-term fan I really liked him especially on his way up which I realize was a long time ago. I get no enthusiasm and no urgency from him whatsoever. Kind of a take-it-or-leave-it type of a thing. I really gotta send to this during the Cormier era. I get the same sense now in wonder if this is why that UFC passed on him. Not to say Cyril can sell PPV's any better , but he does have an entire country behind him. Does anyone else feel the same vibe from Stipe ?
