That was totally awesome. First time I have seen this format and really enjoyed it. No excuses.
Oh this is fun. And with the ultimate three in the booth!
Good Job and thank you Cory and crew! Y’all did an awesome job! Thanks for posting up on here as well..I wasn’t able to catch it live. Some great racing, fun to watch and it definitely helped me get through my night at work lol
Watching my Great Nephew, Evan throw down on KZhead is really cool! Kid has talent and big brass balls! Looking forward to seeing his progression and maturing, racing against some fine racers. Thanks to Cory Texter Racing for getting behind him and pushing him forward. Subscribed and liked.
Great racing with great people Thank you guys! Love it!!
Nice job, Cory. You're not so bad.
Thanks for sharing!!
Great job on this video. Randomly popped up and glad I watched it.
We really need to Escape the 'Burg this year!!
This is like slow motion speedway racing. But it looks like they can at least make a right turn if needed. ;)
Need 2 more riders and just 1 more lap 😊
@CoryTexter Awesome event. Its great to see what you do for the sport of flat track racing and all involved. I grew up watching you and your sister race at Piston Poppers since you guys were young and now to see you son flowing in your footsteps. I know as a father it makes you a very proud dad. Keep up the awesome work. You're creating opportunities and a memories at the same time.
Smokin Joe Kopp, I like the format actually, way safer for the riders, plus mor competitive
Dang Cory! You are a natural at this , keep it up for sure bud
making some flat track content this week to put on youtube. cheers ctex. glad to be able to watch this today while i work.
Thanks dude, appreciate it.
Joe has races short track in the winter at the Spokane fair grounds. Pretty cool.
Definitely good stuff!
Is that James Rispoli’s voice? EDIT: it is and holy shit it’s Ian from Fredricktown Yamaha. Shoutout Ian for fixing my blown up Street Triple. Now that the statute of limitations is passed I betchu it happened bc I did 2nd gear WOT pulls 5 days a week in that Thomas Circle underpass lol.
🤟
They need to make this a tt
Are those 19" wheels? They sure don't look like 17s
Yes, they’re on 19” wheels. That is what we all use on big bikes here in America.
Is that Skip in commentary?
Ian Riley from Fredericktown Yamaha, Factory Harley-Davidson Bagger racer James Rispoli and Jennifer Lewis from Royal Enfield.
@@CoryTexter just sounded like Skip Norfolk👍
I think you aught to start them as horse trotters! Rolling start!
Where is this?
It’s the yearly Winter Throwdown Flat Track race at Callahan Speedway in Callahan, Florida.
Думал мотарды, а тут тупо по кругу ((
Isnt this just sweedway?
Not really
why even do 3 laps..seems like in this type or racing if you get the holeshot, you get the win.
Because anything can (and will) happen.
The short races create a lot of urgency and quick thinking. It’s a unique format that the fans really enjoy watching. Eat or get eaten.
18:16 ガチやん😮

If you get the start, ride the inside and no one can pass.
It’s not that easy, lol.
Pretty sad how Flat track racing has faded away. It was huge when I got out of HS in the 70's. Short tracks, 1/2 and mile tracks, and TT tracks were all over and racing every weekend relatively close to home during the summer. And most classes were full and you HAD to qualify in your heat to make the main. And the Pro circuit would fill the stands at very large venues. Now it is only a faded memory. And no big companies want to get involved financially anymore. There is only one motorcycle dedicated TT track left in my state that holds 4 amateur races every season. The last of the short tracks was shut down and sold at the end of the '22 season and new owners have no intention of using it. Sad...Ahh the memories.
Well this event called the Winter Throwdown had 847 entries over the weekend, so the sport is still relevant. Mission Foods is the title sponsor of our events and they are one of the world's largest producers of flatbread, tortilla and corn flour products with factories in North and Central America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
@@CoryTexter Perhaps because it's the only game in town at the moment??? IDK doesn't matter. You weren't around in the 70's so you will never know but trust me that event is just a needle in a haystack. Probably more competitors than spectators??? That is great that there is a sponsor albeit one that only flat track people can relate to. The only time I ever heard of them was when I would watch the one or 2 times a year the TV networks would broadcast a race on free TV. Unlike in the 70's when there were a lot of the same huge companies that sponsored huge events like NASCAR, NHRA, etc. sponsoring Pro Flat Track series. Yeah there were cigarette and beer companies which are taboo now but just saying there was way more money involved with pro FT racing comparatively speaking back then. I have always hated Harley Davidson motorcycles and would always route for any other brand that would spend a little time and money to show the world just how bad they really were just as Yamaha did in the 70's and Honda did in the 80's but now that HD is just an also ran in most pro races...what few there are now... I am a bit sad now that they are not really competitive any more because you need rivalries in any sport to make it worth watching and have a favorite to root for. That being said FT lost a lot of loyal Harley rider fans because of that. When I went to pro races in the 70's half of the packed grandstands were biker gang type fans . Not like that any more. Like I said when I was racing FT in the 70's there were many tracks running on any weekend you could drive to a race in a hour or 2 now you need a plane to travel around to the races. But whatever it is what it is. Change is inevitable some you will like some not so much....
Short track and no room to pass
Plenty of room. Just have to make it happen.
Watch speedway 😅
I’ve watched about 20 minutes so far and I’m unimpressed. Seems nobody has the sack to just put an aggressive pass in. Edit: Saunders got it done for me. That’s how it’s done.
Nice, maybe you can sign up next year and show ‘em how it’s done.
@@CoryTexter well you see in fact I just trolled you…. I completely understand racecraft and all the difficulties involved with tight quarters racing. With over 30 years in many different types of moto Mostly off-road or motocross. Obviously I’m an A class rider, I would have quit years ago if not. But the lesson I want to learn you youngster is stop worrying about all this social media bullshit and put that effort into your training and racecraft. Im really not trying to squabble back and forth man. But seriously think about what I said. I’m really aiming to better you. Put your head down and focus. If you’re not ready to die for it, then don’t do it. I wish you well.
Silly race... it's like you've got 2 seconds to get in front and in those two seconds you've won or lost the race..
Not quite, but I guess you better those two seconds count, eh?
@@CoryTexter Well I just watched the first set of three races and that's the way it seemed to me!
Ended up scanning through the vid. Is that all it is? 1 on 1 and the guy with the start wins it? Way to water down a flat track race.
You must have scanned through it pretty dang quick. There were a lot of passes big dog.
@@CoryTexter I watched about 8 races (the first four, then picked up a few more .later in the video). Of them, one had a pass for the first turn, and one had a take--out in the first turn. That's it. Everything else was the guy with the holeshot won.
@@johntomasik1555Well there were quite a few passes through the event. But just like any other form of motorcycle racing, a holeshot definitely helps you succeed, especially on a short track. Doesn’t matter if it’s two riders or 18 riders, three laps or 25 laps.
@@CoryTexter You soing an amazing job for the sport of flat track racing. It's awesome to see you promote such a successful event. Ive grew up watching you racing at Piston Poppers since you were young. Way to go bro.
Walk up music, how embarrassing, no wonder nobody can stand being there.
