LeBron James had done his part to put the Miami Heat in control of the Eastern Conference semifinals, and one last free throw was meaningless except to him. He missed, leaving him one shy of his first 50-point playoff game, muttering to himself after. "That's the first time I've been disappointed in myself in a win," James said. Then he smiled, realizing his performance left nothing to complain about. James tied his playoff career high with 49 points, Chris Bosh made the tiebreaking 3-pointer with 57 seconds left, and the Heat beat the Brooklyn Nets 102-96 on Monday night for a 3-1 lead.

    • Its so unfair that people spam 3-6 as if any other player could have gotten those Heat/Cavs teams to the Finals. Even in 2011 the Bulls felt like they could guard Wade but got bullied by Lebron for 5 games. Pacers, Hawks, Celtics and Raptors all had excellent teams but they didn't have Lebron. The bench units he had to face all 9 of his finals were always better, and idk how anyone expects a player to do better than 2-5 against Pop's Spurs and the Warriors. Two years in a row Lebron did more for his team than the Finals MVP and they gave it to the guy who guarded him.

Where that "killer instinct?" I still fail to see it in Heat Lebron. Was it there when he had that 8 point game in the Finals? Oh...

    • Chris Handsome Not consistently enough, it's too on again off again. This past postseason he has the clutch buzzer beaters vs. IND and TOR, but in the Finals completely fails to instill the same mentality. Everyone talks about the 50 points in game 1 but the fact of the matter is when time ran down for the Final shot he deferred and looked to George Hill of all ppl for the go ahead shot. Then in OT he proceeds to go 0/4 from the field. Then in game 3 he has another chance to steal one from GS and fails bc of his fear to step up against KD. Durant drops 43 and the go ahead 3, all without any help due to Steph, Klay and Draymond playing like complete trash in that game. So KD singlehandidly took Bron down, and the go ahead 3 that KD hit Bron decides to slide off KD and throw Rodney Hood of all ppl on him. Game 4 was trash for him, didn't attack at all in the second half, continued to defer then as soon as the sweep was complete came out actin like his hand was "broken" to deflect away any criticism he'd face immediately after the loss. Weak move. Everyone knew it wasn't broken, he was throwing up lobs to himself off the damn glass and Dunking it with the alleged broken hand. Still doesn't have that *Consistent* killer mentality.

  • I’ve always said Wade and LeBron didn’t fit. Wade can’t soot, he allows opposing defense to shrink the floor because they don’t respect his outside shooting. therefore, floor was not spread for Bron to attack the basket. LeBron scored most of his points in transition. Wade also lost his athleticism after his injury and couldn’t get to the rim anymore . He was definitely holding the team back. In many games the team was playing better when he was on the bench. The Heat was never a Super-team in my eyes. They Had a superstar in Lebron and borderline Allstars in Wade and Bosh and NO bench. People don’t remember the Heat was up 7pts in the 4th Quarter 2014 Finals game 1 at Spurs until LeBron got a cramp. That’s when The Spurs made a run and close the quarter. They came back in the second game and tied the series 1-1. If LeBron was healthy in game 1 and Wade didn’t suck, The Heats could have been up 2-0 on the road and most likely win the series.

    @mikeg7244@mikeg72444 жыл бұрын
    • Mike G I agree with most of your points. But there is no way the 14 Heat team can beat Spurs in a 7 game series. Even if LeBron did play, there is no guarantee they can win G1 and G2 both. Most likely they will still split the first two. Wade by then is a former shell of himself. He can’t even hold his own against Danny Green. Heat loses at every position except SF.
