No, the problem is that the government has gotten to big and powerful in every aspect.
We have been lied to for decades about almost everything it seems and as a 36 year old man it seems that my whole world view is changing and seeing the truths on many fronts. Keep reporting and do not let outside forces to choose who and what you can talk about.

Finally a legal system that works for the betterment of America.
We REALLY need to get these people away from the levers of power.
When you cannot pay the best people what they are worth, you are forced to use outside contractors to get that skill set. The bigger problem is that the federal government will pay these contractors double and triple what it would cost to employee these same people in-house. Then as a result, there is not any accountability for the damage these outside contractors do, or any oversight of the elected officials whom have influence over these outside contractors to implement their agenda items, or the money politicians receive from outside contractors that have a personal agenda they want to pursue. It's mess that the political class likes to wallow in because there is no accountability or oversight of them personally, so they let the games be played for their benefit and wealth building.
Sometimes unlike this time when they hired inept partisan clowns . The times they hire people that are good at what they are doing half they time they don't listen to them anyway.
The first part of the comment is not the reality, it is a deliberate move.The opportunity to go and say I need to know ”this and this about this for that” and actually get the true facts (when someone perfidious is working treacherously) from the person who is supposed to provide you with the facts. And now we witness the damages being.
You’re right about the “no accountability”. Technically you could call this a war. Secrets are a powerful undertow. Ask and get the truth, or ask and get silence or lies. Or don’t ask and let it roll. Truth has a way of coming to the surface.

There was an attempt to make it a slur by the political class- I don’t think they succeeded- particularly in pairing it with the word “authoritarian” to describe a man who’s currently a private citizen.

What the biggest bug in the current outsourcing of policy to people who have been involved in secret agencies as presidential advisors is that the panel would be a great place for bad actors to hang out and by bad actors I do not mean anyone who has not won an Academy Award for good actor.
