  • Your metal cut off saw is a very handy tool! You sure could have used a few clamps welding the steel sheets on the bed! Even if you can't afford to buy some clamps, you could make some using big bolts or large threaded rod.

  • We need a tradesman like you here in Ontario Canada. Come over out of the hot weather. Grinding the metal clean results in better weld quality and adherence.

  • before you weld,try grinding the surface to expose clean metal.Then it will weld much easier.

  • First load, and the steel plates will be loose. You are supposed to weld all the way, on bare metal. The supports for the frames must also be fully welded on bare metal.

  • I notice all the videos that involve welding are kind of weird. They get the job done, but it's not a continuous bead. Edit: I think I just saw why. The welding machine doesn't have the capability of delivering the constant current for a beaded weld.

  • Hard work, but welding metal the surface should be clean (without any rust, paint) , the floor flatness is also not very god.
