    • Ghost of lockout was a guy named StolenTwo. Me and him was in a halo 2 clan called Team Hazard we was a Mod, circle boost and lag clan. You needed 2 Xbox’s on the same network. One person would have to lag that person out with the 2 Xbox right before he got lagged out he would turn off one Xbox keep one running before he fully lagged out the Xbox That’s still on the player would have no name just basically looked like a dummy. On his screen when he would walk, jump, shoot or whatever it looked all normal on his view but to us well you have the video... hope this helps

  • "There will be no more Sadness. No more Anger. No more Envy" Since this is written in the teaser text for halo (39:43) and exactly what Cortanas says in Infinite, does this mean this how Cortanas story was supposed to end all along? Or has this line been mentioned in previous games? If not i find this really cool.

    @Froxzar18@Froxzar182 жыл бұрын
    • Cortana says this line in the Halo 3 level 'Cortana' as you're trying to rescue her from the Gravemind. I didn't know it went as far back as pre-Halo 1 days, and I'm not sure where else the phrase pops up in games/lore.

      @7r3b3k@7r3b3k2 жыл бұрын

However, one of the posters shows a white ball (supposedly representing the Traveler) above the photo of Earth with the text instead saying "Destiny Awaits". Some consider this to be a very old teaser for Destiny.

    @vexmilk2345@vexmilk23453 жыл бұрын
    • I have the original ODST on disc for 360. That “Destiny Awaits” poster is very common on this version of the game and is 100% a teaser for Destiny. In the MCC version they’ve all been changed to the “for her” poster.

In that mode instead of infected spartans (like green armoured with energy swords) You're instead a flood spartan which at random times can often growls, and it does usually growl a lot when hitting a dead body or a player. • I have an interesting theory about the whole backwards message thing (halo infinite spoilers ahead): After you beat the campaign on legendary, The Weapon was mentioning that this ring is different than the other rings and the forerunners we’re trying to hide it’s capabilities. She also mentioned that they were in the silent auditorium for three days when it certainly didn’t seem that way playing the game. After the credits, we are taken back to around 97,000 BC (or whatever year) and hear the chatter of securing The Endless. We also see Atriox seemingly releasing the endless. What if atriox discovered the power of Zeta ring was actually time travel, hence why he was in those after credits so far back in time. The backwards message was an Atriox sounding person saying stuff like “I am lost in time…”, what if 343 is playing off of that and Atriox really did discover the Zeta ring is capable of time travel?

    @thedumbestdoge881@thedumbestdoge8812 жыл бұрын
    • Atriox didn't go back in time. The voices playing over the scene are from that time. In order for this to be remotely true, you have to argue atriox went back in time and released the endless from the cylixes before the voices were saying the endless should be placed into the cylixes in the first place. C'mon.

All energy is data so Cortana starts unlocking the reality distortion shit that graveminds and Prometheus can do and we realize that mendicant bias sided with the flood because of some secret singularity that made the mantle of responsibility darker than it became in the later lore

Imagine if the key to the Spartan program not really being Halsey being a genius mom, but rather her unlocking the peak physiology the forerunners had bred into their population by the end of the war. • So I had a few conspiracy theories growing up about Halo. I kinda wanna just throw these out here and see if there are even any LARPs or mentions of these outside my immediate circle of friends. 1) There was a secret series of live missions in Halo 2 and into 3 in which Bungie was able to invite people based on a set of coding flags that these players would activate, leading them into these "Additional Missions," as they were called. Basically your multiplayer character became a canon character and you play these secret missions that are wildly more difficult than the base game, have far more intimate views of minor characters and events, and had very real stakes of "if you die, you're out." Bungie monitored it closely as it was almost a two-sided game between players and developers. This one sounds more unlikely the older I get, not to mention how probably illegal and developmentally impossible for Bungie to manage. But it was a theory that affected a lot of my early memories of Halo. 2) Supposedly there was a second meaning behind the Iris ARG and the messages from AdjutantReflex, pointing to a riddle and meaning that was far more than just advertising for Halo 3's release. Far more real and mysterious. I could see this one being a real conspiracy theory despite me not hearing really anything on the topic outside of my friend group as a kid. That said, I think it's a stretch that it would be real as an actual thing that happened. Let me know if you have any info on either theory! I've been curious about these for years.

There you would encounter a extremely large hunter with two shield arms. I know, very daft.

  • In the Halo 2 Developer Commentary Jo, Jason and Marty all make jokes about how Forerunner tank was never substantially worked on outside of concept. Also pretty sure that hole in the mountain was found to be some geometry relating to the underwater elevator bit.

  • 1. For the Da Vinci Code easter egg, General Kidd did a video on it. turns out, it's just the cannon that the Guardian uses in Sandtrap and Sandbox when you leave the map. Look up his video on hidden vehicles (I think) 2. The "Forerunner Tank" level geometry is probably only visible in H2A because Bungie covered it us with terrain in Halo 2, and 343 uncovered it not knowing why it was covered in the first place (it was under water, no one would see it, right?) as for it being there in the first place, it probably has to do with that 2-part levelling system you were talking about. the beginning of the level could probably be found in the level before it. 3. the Destiny Ads on Outskirts is probably referring to Halo 3: ODST, not Halo 2. Back before Bungie Left, you could find posters in Halo 3 ODST saying "Destiny Awaits" with the Destiny Logo and a picture of Earth.

  • I am pretty certain that the "Mausoleum Suite" message is spoken from the Gravemind. The flood have been around since the Forerunner age, and are literally the embodiment of death and chaos. They live off of sins, feasting on men and god for eternity. And to think that the whole entire Halo lore started because of the Flood.

    @Red-zn5oz@Red-zn5oz3 жыл бұрын
    • Mendicant Bias was the AI the flood turned with the logic plague on the forerunners. It has also been around since the Flood, and wants forgiveness for turning on the Forerunners which is why it helps Chief in 3. It lived through the the near complete death and destruction of the galaxy considering the Forerunners only just barely were able to activate the Halo Array's as Offensive Bias held the Flood off the ark, and so it would have also lived through the time period where "the light" never perished and continued while the "evil" of the flood perished. With the flood gone, Mendicant had nothing to do but sit and watch for thousands of years, a prison of his own demise. It fits the words to a t, and unlike the Gravemind/Flood, was actually on High Charity as it was the Oracle on the Forerunner Dreadnought at the center. It could be the flood, but it's far more likely to be Mendicant.

  • The ancient text in Halo 3s Sand Trap is now in multiple levels of Halo Infinite's campaign, including tablets held by the 3 forerunner statues in the Silent Auditorium and engraved on the sides of the golden pyramid level with ancient voice-overs talking about the imprisonment of the Endless. Can't believe this wasn't included in the iceberg.

    @Fyre0@Fyre02 жыл бұрын
  • I felt like the "Honor Guard Councilor" or "Randomly generated Elite" is Bungie's attempt at a mini-boss... Obviously he's not that big a deal (going based off the terrible main "bosses"). It has alot of different appearances. The Honour Guard Councillor and the Helmetless one are considered the rarest, I believe.

    • Can also confirm as well, the same issue happened to a bunch of my friends copies as well as my own. The noise was honestly pretty muffled against regular game SFX, so it was just more of an annoyance to sour Halo 4’s launch rather than scary.

  • My dad has some memories of playing a halo Mac build, but now suspects he was probably just caught up in the hype. He was dabbling in the darker corners of the 90s internet at the time however, and my grandfather was a pretty influential figure in the software space who has gotten hold of some strange stuff in the past. It isn’t likely that it happened, but I wouldn’t dismiss it immediately.

    • Your dad likely went through an experience known as the Mandola effect which nowadays a hell of a lot of people go through. It means you for some reason can often remember certain points of your past in a different way compared to how it actually played out. Example: I remember playing halo 2 with 2 of my buds (This is normal) But the mandola effect would make me think I only played with 1 friend (This isn't normal because I actually played with 2 friends, not 1)
