This was such a cool take on the warden and the deep dark. Skull is basically a parasite or fungus that literally eats and grows from life or souls so seeing it here as a spreading Atherial dimension was awsome.
My headcanon is that the warden is just a pile of skulk and corpses that detaches itselves from the deep dark to go collect more soul and spread. So that big weird warden with eyes is just more skulk.

The Warden is blind, but it doesn’t just rely on hearing. It can sniff you out from a good distance away too.

As a rule of thumb, few Minecraft animations are faithful to the source material. It's just there for theatrics because capturing unique footage for the game is difficult. You enter the Deep Dark, trip some skulkers, summon the guy, and either win or lose. Not a lot of variance to be had.
Also, the final transformation of the Warden in the Warden rap has eyes all over his body

In the game, the warden attacks anything including other mobs that make noise. He can even spawn if other mobs make noise. It doesn’t have to be a player.
That’s wrong, it can only spawn from player interaction. It will be alerted or attack other mobs when they make noise, but only vibrations caused from players, like projectiles (when you’re not crouching), placing or breaking blocks that aren’t wool, stepping on the shriekers or sensors, etc can spawn the warden

The soundwave doesn't do anything but attack you, the markings and red lightings are just there for special effect. It's also trying to take notice to the fact that the warden is some kind of moss mutant and that the ruins he is in may be a village and the warden was just from another dimension and had infested it. Making it his new domain.

The Warden attacks everything xD, minus other wardens. sense its a fungus its invasive
I think the markings are so he can like do the illusion's of the warden and like control him in his conscious because he's unconscious until he go's though the portal
No, the word in sonic boom is what you see from his rib cage. All it does is do insane. Damage in those markings are probably signifying that he’s taking a lot of damage.
It’s actually called a sonically charged shriek, and it’s a magic based attack that goes through armor, enchantments, and shields. Doing a flat 10 damage on hard mode.
From stuff in the actual video, and from the comments there, I found out from theorys that the warden made them hallucinate, which explains his eyes in the video, and why all the weird stuff happens, like the place suddenly changing, and the warden collapsing and "changing" in the second verse. It also is stated in rule 5 to make them hallucinate and take out their eyes that way.

Im pretty sure the markings one the person’s body is signifying that he is slowly dying from all the damage he is taking and his body is slowly becoming part of the deep dark
Fun fact: The mobs at the end of ending b were the mobs that had previous raps from Danbull.
The warden effects Ethan with acid and makes him hallucinate. So most of the deep dark scenes where only in his head.
The sonic blast of the warden just hurt you or kills you that’s what it is
I belive the markings are to show that Ethan is on acid and everything is just a hallucination except the house like parts, the red glow on the eyes I have no clue not even EKRCoaster does.

When the warden knows where you are he inflicts blindness on you....
The character is being infected by his sound waves, causing him to be slower so he take his eyeballs so he can see, I learned all of this from the signs in the video
I think the markings mean that the warden is performing some sort of ritual as the note talks about removing his eyes and it would explain the redness around his eyeballs as the warden must be starting to remove them

There’s actually a different ending where he does not make it out, and the water removes his eyeballs and put them on his own
The marking on the player looks like it has armor trim that is coming for 1.20 this week

Basically the skulk can spread by mobs dying,and I guess the warden is withering the dude away to add to the skulk.

I may be a little late BUT if you pause at the scene with the paper "how to remove eyeballs" you can read whats written there. The 2. one on the paper says to ensure that they(the dead one) have supscripted to dan bull and the 3. one even mentions the spider rap. You can read all 5 points on that paper
7:06 i think thats what the warden looks like in its own realm inside the huge portal. I feel like the warden sent the player to that realm when he turned into little cubes and splattered all over that player at 6:54.
The marking are for the end so the character stands out to the warden so he can see him better

Well technically yes and technically no correctly the wardens Sonic boom is supposed to be a One-Shot kill so must be super loud I guess it's a slow painful death not too loud for the warden
It’s not supposed to be a one shot kill, (also it’s called the sonically charged shriek), it does a flat 10 damage on hard mode, and goes through armor, shields, and enchantments.

The warden is a boss monster that can only be summoned by the player, but it can get hostile to any mobs that make noise. It's terrifying, but kinda silly when it gets angry at a bat or a squid.
The warden with the eyes at the end there gave me Sandman's Corinthian vibes

The warden is a ancient builder that find out how to open the portal and you open the portal and a whole bunch. Skulk took over him for days and days he has not been found the ink. The other ancient builders was worried about him.
