One of the Ndhzenga males shows just how unperturbed animals by the presence of our Land Rovers. Then, a lioness from the Kambula pride almost grabs an impala in an impressive display of opportunism and reflexes!

God told Gideon that the men he saw lap water while keeping their gaze looking up, he was to choose for war but if they looked down while they drank, he was not to choose them. They ended up being disobedient in the end so God punished them. I won't spoil the story for you but, when God gives you an order, it's not a negotiation. Follow it to the letter. And, you'd be surprised how God does not tolerate evil in anybody.

    • That’s true. And as long as you don’t make exaggerated movements or noises, lions won’t think you’re a potential meals. Lions just don’t have the cognitive skill to recognize people in/on a vehicle. Tigers do have that skill though. An open jeep safari in India will usually go in convoys with more rangers to keep the surrounding in check for tigers. They will try to keep the vehicle within safe watching distance.

I could remember my late father telling me stories, that in the olden days, if you meet lion accidentally, the lion will run first before coming back to like check who is scaring him. If you are still there, then it will attack. It's not like Tiger that go about hunting for humans.

    • Nope, there have been man-eaters, especially in East and South eastern African villages. There was even one that killed 19 people in Tanzania some years back. Not all lions are indifferent to humans, and if food is very scarce, they could prey on us given the opportunity

  • Lions usually don't bother human beings when they are in a car because in their mind they are part of the car, which is not a food source for the lion. Once a human gets out of the car then the lion might possibly pursue them as a food source

    • Why? Those nations make money off tourism in turn are able to keep those “habitats” maintained and secure from other nations trying to purchase the land for other purposes like mining. It also lets humans learn and have respect for nature. What’s wrong with that? Why can’t those poor countries create revenue for themselves at the same time preserving the land for these animals to roam and be protected. You don’t what you’re talking about. Always speak and act on emotions before you know the facts. Smh.
