At the same time, another human being is struggling to get through the day and living under the worst possible conditions, just because he is on the other side of the world. Husband is a Railway employee, herself a Nurse and a Tailor by profession, and lives in a moderate house provided by the govt. which is a comfortable life compared to others. • Unfortunately, as per the comment above mine by Fidelis auve, there is a bubbling civil ethnic bigotry and unwarranted and unhelpful calls for foreign militarial intervention by some of those living in the oil rich south who feel they will thrive if they successfully annex the south. They wish to strip the country of a sizable portion of it's oil and it's major ports. They often come to videos like these and asserted that what is depicted within them is fully representative of Nigeria, as they assert that the government is cause of all their troubles. The region depicted in this video, though somewhat in need of some updating, is full of people with stories, and there is nothing wrong with sharing those stories and recognising the importance of said stories; however, I do not understand why people keep saying all of Nigeria is like this, it has many metropolitan regions of significant size.

  • When I heard the name of Ibadan and saw the warm-hearted people and lifestyle there, I couldn't help myself but to research the history behind it and the city of Abadan in Iran that Nick had visited in the Iran series! Although I only came across the nominal similarities between the two cities, but I found many similarities between the people...! How they are both welcoming, full of life and beautiful. And how warm and colorful these two cities are! And of course super spicy food!!! I send my love to my brothers and sisters in Nigeria and I want them to know that we Iranians are very similar to them in these bad economic conditions and inefficient governments. So I believe that we are all in this together and hopefully one day we will solve these problems together. I know the situation is very difficult but escape never is the solution. In Iran we have a saying: "Others planted and we reaped, so we must plant so that others can reap." I don't know if I can explain my purpose well to you, but all I'm trying to say is that in our experience in Iran, when some people left the country for a better life, the government became more and more powerful and the people went down and down every day. If you watch the Iran series that Nick put together you will easily understand what I mean. Sorry if I talked too much and if I had grammar problems in my comment. Many thanks to Nick for his wonderful vlogs and a big hug for the hardworking people of Nigeria.

  • The "money money" woman was one you wouldn't mess with, but I am sure I saw the hint of a smile. I don't do too badly travel wise, but your videos open up a while new world. Stay safe, keep travelling and keep sharing it with us.

    • The other guy was laughing along, I think the money money woman just has a very dry way of delivering humour, she only seemed a bit hostile because we had no idea what she was saying

    • @@Denizen36 exactly. She was being sarcastic and playing with him. It’s how the older ladies are in the country - especially Yoruba people are very dry and sarcastic with humour
