Even if this is his last fight, even if he loses, this is a monumental achievement just showing he can come back from what he did at all. I'll always have respect for him and Anderson Silva for what they managed to overcome.
It is 1000 percent his last fight he will retire after this fight to perfect for him not to
Weidman is the 3rd highest paid fighter on the card! $320k to show and $320k to win! That’s why he is fighting at 39🤷🏽♂️
That's why we bet Bradley Kaipo Sarbida Tavares. Weidman has already won in his mind just showing up collecting 1 last check. I'm sure he trained to be able to show up here not necessarily for the W. even before the career altering injury that has sidelined him for 2+ years he was already on the downs and now at 39 cmon
what a warrior
Absolutely. He reminds me of Andy Wang.
He reminds me of Andy's Wang, actually.
He’s an idiot
He reminds me of andy wang firstly.
Hahahah making me laugh....is that your Boy 🤣
Can you imagine having that happen to you and then being brave enough to return. Wild.
Yeah it’s called having no brain cells nothing to inspire here from, dude has a family and all to risk all that time he needed to recover
Whether he wins or loses its inspirational. Gotta love his will power
Hope his dad gets back on the mic
I'm telling you, one of the toughest to ever live 💯 lfg Chris
Impossible to hate Weidman.
The mental strength of this guy is unbelievable. From beating a GOAT up to this point in his career, he truly loves fighting. Put some respect to this boy
Ufc needs to promote his return more it’s a huge come back from nasty leg snap injury Chris is a warrior 👊 btw isn’t it so disrespectful he’s on the prelim’s smh ufc
Let’s go! Great to see Chris Weidman back from injury, one of my all time favorite UFC champions, he’s the man, a real humble respectful guy, his MW title reign was a treat, hope he gets the win at UFC 292 👏👏👏👏
Love that guy.
Let’s go Weidman!!!! I’ll always have your back win or loss! Your comeback gives me strength to keep going through adversity! I’m glad to see you back in the mix! Let’s goooooo!!!!!!
“HE’S STILL MY BOY!!”
Back in the mix lol this is his last fight he retires this fight 10000 percent win or lose
i mean anyone would have recovered from the injury. the thing is... is it intelligent for him to do so? my opinion, he wasnt even the best when he got lucky and defeated anderson that first time. and in his own mind he believes he can become middleweight champion again. quite frankly... its a bit delusional. i wish him luck.... but the guy was never the best in the division. and i believe his career is at an end. he's going to need all the luck in the world on his side.
@@joshuabranson74 just a hater I see. Why waste your time commenting on someone you’re rooting against? Cool dude lol
@@DeadFoxMS89 he was never the best???? Keep living in your dream of him not beating Anderson twice. I think your comment is delusional. He was champion of the division hahaha that legitimately means you’re the best. No one stays on top forever. That’s the name of this game if you stay in long enough, hater. :) why comment with such a long message if you obviously don’t like Chris? Don’t have anything better to do with your life? Ok then..
Rooting for Chris, that's my boy!!
Weidman is such a likable dude. Let's go, W!!
Tony Ferguson the type of guy to tell Chris he's hitting his prime!
5:08 that was actually funny 😂 Chris a funny dude and definitely an inspiration to many. Goodluck bro 💪🏽
I think he came back to retire on his own terms, not from a gruesome injury. Good luck champ.
Congratulations to Chris no matter what happens on Saturday. I imagine it takes a tremendous amount of mental strength and will to come back from that injury. He’s already won.
Met him in brooklyn at khabib vs al, he’s such a cool and genuine dude
Jealous, wish I was at that one.
Respect, I hope he has a competitive showing
Such an inspiration! Hope he can get the win!!
Man the power of the human mind is incredible! Props to Weidman. Happy for the guy.
No matter what happens, coming back from all of that is already a massive win that most would not be able to accomplish.
One thing I know is that Chris won't back down, and he'll stand his ground....
Chris WEEDman!
Wise Weidman - a mythical rejuvenated fighter
All the best to Weidman. This sport can be brutal & has no mercy. One day you’re at the top, then one silly kick leads to your demise.
However the fight goes it's good to see Chris back on his feet, that was a nasty leg break.
Anyone else gonna get chills when they hear Bruce say ‘the all American’
Welcome back Chris Weidman 🙌🙌
I don’t like this decision but I wish him all the luck and I’m rooting for him.
Legend
Keep up the good hard work Chris. Rooting for you.
Chris brought a whole wheel of cheese with him for his comeback😂. Nah, I wish dude the best and hope he gets the dub.
let’s goooo!! LEGEND 💪🏾
What a guy 🎉 excited for him
so excited he is back
hope he wins
Great to see Chris back it truly is. Hoping for the best, but if he has a bad showing he may need to think of hanging them up, he has nothing else to prove. He still looks to be in great shape, and I can totally understand the desire to get back in their and prove to not only himself but to others he can come back from that severe injury . All the best to him the weekend, will be pulling for him
He was getting crushed in that fight before he broke his leg. He's done for but I'm not about to tell a grown man to do
Man god bless him for getting through, i really hope he gets a dub and fight if night, even thoh i got mad respect for brad tavaras
Happy to see this! Hopefully he's getting paid.
Man said I'm in my prime 😅 gotta love Chris
Warrior
legend
Wish we got this kind of coverage when this happened to Silva and he came back.
DC is the man
I think Chris Weidman has one more championship run in him. He's got everything you look for in a fighter: world class wrestling, granite chin, power in both hands, and the heart of a lion. He's just had really bad luck but I think he comes back better than ever and will challenge for that strap again. People need to recognize that he is a legend and possibly the greatest to ever do it! 💪 island for life baby
bro his cardio is in the dumps, he is delusional.
no
I’m glad your being a supportive fan but it’s in his best interest to retire he’s taken too much damage and is risking his well being getting back in the ring. He’s 39 almost 40 there is no title run that’s gonna happen.
@@dynamic6813😂 watching you respond to a troll with logic is hilarious. Its sandman bro hes a known troll in these parts
those granite chin days are over. Headed down the chuck liddell route unfortunately.
He’s been named the All American for a reason. He shows what it truly means to be an American. Grit adversity and the courage to come back after that injury my hats off to you Chris
No disrespect but he should definitely retire after this fight. He’s pushing 40 and that injury is not something you come back from 100%. He’s taken a lot of damage and any real fan should be happy to see him retire.
He has taken far less damage than a lot of others
@@KHALABEEB he’s been koed a couple times, broke his leg in half, ate a Romero flying knee to the head. I just want what’s best for his health as should any person in the sport who appreciates the fighters.
@@dynamic6813 I'm with you bud, I think Chris is a smart dude with a great family. I think he'll know when its time. Some of these sonsabitches are just too tough for their own good
Just dont throw it with full power Chris!
I honestly don't think he has been the same since that Romero Flying Knee.
Let's go Champ
I remember watching Chris against jacre and thinking how sharp he looked up until jacre went for broke and thinking. That Chris no one’s beats then boom lol
Him texting Connor saying if there's anything he needs he can help "walk" him through it
Champion u are great
I love how they only let fighters who are analysts hold the mic 😂😂😂
THAT'S STILL MY BOY
STILL MY BOY
Chris "The Greatful All American Warrior" Weidmen
Crazy
Hope he wins
Great guy. I hope he gets another 3/4 fights and then a possible title shot. But if his leg gives him problems he has to retire.
I hope he gets the win but I'm just not sure. That was a brutal leg break and he's up in age as well. And just look at Anderson after his leg break. He was never the same. I'm rooting for him though.
Dang!
👀....."And that's still my boy!!!"
HOW did this guy train!?! With that kind of injury healing.
Michael Chiesa taught me to never count on fighters that have been out.
He's in his prime just like Fergunson🤣
I think it’s crazy everyone is saying the only way mcgregor can return from such an injury is roids but here we have Weidman coming back from the same injury in two years
Carolina Chris!! LFG
Its funny seeing Conor compare the severity of his injury to Weidman's and Silva's. His was a sprain in comparison
"I feel like I'm in my prime right now." I mean, Tony said that before his last fight and we all saw what happened. He jinxed it.
Tony is about as delusional as it gets though.
Oh yeah
Good to see Chris back in action. He'll get knocked out in 2 rounds
This should be a short lived comeback, age is not on his side
We gotta save this guy from Jake Paul
Definitely disrespectful to be on the prelims but ufc gives no shits
"if i feel uncomfortable doing something, i'm just gonna do it (...) because i don't wanna feel that feeling of uncertainty." 3:54 what a mindset. i fear leaving my comfort zone. this guy's intentionally going outside it, making it the new inside and just keeps going, expanding what is his home.
Sooo worried for Chris as Brad has improved alot and has vicious kicks
Ufc is so disrespectful they put him on the pre lims after coming back from a horrific injury AND they made him hold his own mic
This fight will determine if he needs to retire. I hope he does good though
Stand still for Pete’s sake
What about Silva and his comeback ? He's just as a Warrior, eh ?
Excuse me. He's still my boy😂😂
Age is just a number.
The myth, the legend, should be happy to be on prelims. But when I wrote this he actually responded at the same time😅
Dont throw a leg kick please for all of our sakes lol PULLING FOR YOU CHRIS!
Needs to detail his road out of fighting..
UFC messed up big time. Chris Weidman is super underrated. Prelim, Are u shitting me. Mark my word, he will be champ with right gyno!
🎉🎉🎉🎉 beat Brad Tavares and you'll get right back into the top 15🎯
DC fought and won a belt at HW. Weidman at MW is bigger than DC. That's MMA math for you.
Brad gonna wreck Chris but good to see Chris back, will be a shame he's retiring immediately after this fight but hey it was a good run whilst it lasted.
Dont get hurt bro... 👀
I like his attitude but he had no shot of getting the title BEFORE the leg break. Now a leg break and a two year layoff later? Just be happy if you can win a single fight, rooting for you either way
Idk why the ufc would agree to let him fight again.. like really he lost hisnlast 5 fights hes 39 i mean what is he fighting for
Dak Prescott came back, he will too!
TBH love Weidman but, I hope this is a 1 off.
I see Chris boxing Jake Paul in the near future 😂
“In my prime” 🤦🏻♂️
still mad silva threw the first fight against him smh
Can you send Conor your detailed plan of how you got back? LOL
