The Spencer family was very wealthy. Diana wore the Spencer family tiara at the wedding. Her family arguably has a claim to the Crown as she is a descendant of King Charles II through an illegitimate son. He is my favorite king. He had to hide in a hollowed out tree from Cromwell’s assassins as a child. He restored Catholicism bloodlessly and had to forgive the country that beheaded his father. He chose to stay with his wife even though she couldn’t bear him an heir. He also sported an enormous black wig.
Princess Diana came from a lot of old money. She wasn’t poor by any means.

One of the things that was said that made me tear up was when Harry said, that he would not have been able to move his family and have security if it wasn't for what his mom had left him. That was so powerful because it speaks volumes about Diana. Even though she is not here she is still taking care of her son and now his wife and her grandson. Diana is still with her sons. I love knowing that. Diana was gone too soon but she still have her son's back.
You should remember they chose to leave the royal family so they are not entitled to a penny from me and other British tax payers. They shouldn't have been surprised and it would have been a scandal if they were still being paid.
Awesome. Diana is stilled loved by people all over the world. She was an awesome, loving, and kind woman. She was betrayed and very mistreated. I'm glad she provided for her son outside of the royals. Wow.

She said her son would not receive any securities which is why they felt that it’s risky for his life to be raised in that environment (not only securities but the support from RF as well) but not having any securities. So, it’s better to leave and raise him in better environment because at the end, his life quality would be better.

We are all trapped in a system. Let’s interview a single mother with 3 kids, working two jobs and struggling to survive.
But you have to remember, that Harry and Meghan was asked to do the interview and they excepted. it's not there fault that they are public figures and get a lot of press coverage.
So I think you might not be viewing this from a critical angle. This is the experience of a biracial black woman who saw the true colors of institution that saw the true colors of a governing systems and institution. If this system is racist to her? Then imagine how racist it is to the people it governs, how racist it is to the single mothers of color. This is putting a spotlight on mental health and racism. Something that many many single mothers struggle with.
It sounds like you're making it into a misery Olympics.
Then throw racism into the mix and see how much you like it. Whether you are rich or poor, everyone should be treated with respect and dignity. Nobody goes into a store and select the race and colour of their skin. It is all accidental. Race is a social construct. Who are these SOTE. Who died and left these people God.

If you look at the comment section at a lot of places, you will see all cheer leaders for the Royal Family, furthering the hate and racism that Meghan has already got. So while such Royal family cheer leaders who exist, there is no hope.
We all think it happens to other people it wont happen to me. A friend said the same thing she knew what she was getting into but the 1st time she met Harry's Grandma he had to teach her to curtsy. Thank God Princess Beatrice had presence of mind to help Meaghan learn. Also Harry was breed into this life so he just knows and trying to remember all protocols beforehand to teach her. Nobody could have known the names and stories the press made up about her there's no preparing for that. They had charity work in common and felt they could help change the world for the better in their charity works.

I have to say- I despise the way that the Royal Family treated Diana. But this ain’t that. I think Megan Markle is more calculating than people think. I don’t for a second buy that she “had no idea” who Harry was, or what marrying him meant that she had to do. I don’t buy a lot of this.

@@sheilafurbank9367 1. she met James Hewitt AFTER Harry was born and 2. if you look at infant photos of Charles and Harry side by side there is no mistaking that Harry is Charles's son, they look near identical.
Diana knew from the beginning, Charles was involved with Camilla and couldn't marry her since she had children. Charles knew Camilla from when they were teenagers. Diana wanted to be the Queen from age 6, when she thought her older sister was going to marry Charles. Their estate was next door to Balmoral Castle. Diana knew exactly what she was getting into. She wanted to serve the People as the Queen.
At least Harry supports her emotionally unlike Prince Charles that deserted His wife for camellia. He should of had his titled stripped.

she also acts all surprised like she had no clue what she was getting into, but any interview on Diana could have warned her, plus she married into a very old rich white family, I could have told her at least one member would be racist. But no one was there so we don't know how that comment was mentioned. She makes it sound like they were going to be disgusted if he was darker, where as Harry made it sound like it was an awkward convo between father and son or whatever.

I hate how there are comments about her being “dramatic” cause she’s not and “stupid for thinking that it’d be a fairytale”, since no one would. To these people, I can only assume you didn’t watch the whole available interview and are either talking with bias because of they’re financial status or just taking this straight out of context. Meghan basically had no voice in that place and was expected to be silent, even with the constant negative slander from the media. When she asked for help with her mental health she didn’t receive it, and her safety was in jeopardy, along with Henry’s.
