@@zixen895 go watertreatment there u can find a healkit easily. Recycle it and u get a stem out of it. Thats how i get mine most of time.

If you know your way around water treatment, AND have a blue key card and fuse, then yup, you are very, very likely to find a gun. Don't know the percentages though..

This is so helpful. I think it might be missing a few recent things like HQM quarry and excavation site? Maybe a couple others. But the info that is here is straight to the point and exactly what people are looking for. This is gonna be really useful for loot runs and stuff at all points of the game

With your point 3, if you really would like the estimate your drop chance, you need to take the chance you don't get the guns and take it to the power of the amount of crates. After that you take the 100% and substract the percent you got. You can't just say that because of a 20% drop rate if i take 5 crates i have a guaranteed item, in this example you will get a 67% chance to gain your item.

You actually did this very well. I appreciate the math breakdown. I'm a 3K hour seasoned vet on the game and I always go building between the Airfield and Dome as long as they're not on separate sides of the night. When they're in the same 1/4 of the map I always build right between them. That's cuz they easy quick and I have decent success rate with them. This is a good video I appreciate it.

i usually get prim gear, head to train yard and farm barrels and natural crate spawns. build a base near outpost and use my scrap to buy and research revy,Db, and their respectable ammo types, Farm a bit and then snowball

Quicker and cheaper way to get a gun with ammo. Farm barrels around bandit camp and in bandit camp and grind up whatever you have until you get around 350+ scrap, (gambling is an option too) Buy the M 92 pistol and a couple of grenades, grind up the grenades for gun powder and metal, research a bullet from the pistol, and craft more bullets from the grinded up grenades. This can all be done within the safety of bandit camp.
Or outpost which has way more barrels, more stuff like crates, more recyclers, better security, a refinery, work bench, GARUNTEED WATER, food crate spawn chance, vending machines etc
Dome needs a big rework again. Literal useless monument now that helis are in the game

2600 hour veteran here, i'd recommend oxum's because I always seem to get customs etc the first time I go there. Also don't just build near one monument, if you are good at pvp build in the middle of the map. Build near the arctic for nodes. Build near 3 or more GOOD monuments. ...Or just play with someone whom has hours.
300hours here, I base near oxums and recycle there regularly and when I get to tier 2 and 3, I recycle at satellite dish. I pvp if i have to encounter someone and I love the 8 shot revolver. I will regularly as I dont believe a duo or trio would be fair. I only like vanilla as I play to have all odds against me, like the game should be. I never raid. I loot blue card puzzle and green card too for guns. I love this game and the only reason I wrote this is to get your opinion mr.2000 hours, what i can improve on myself. Reddit doesnt like to help me. God bless my friend.

Small oil rig is the best way to farm some decent loot imo Way easier than cargo Just snipe them from a boat then hack the crate jump back down to the boat and snipe the heavys

Because they are wrong, and they don't add up the way they do in the video, you can't just multiply the % chance of getting something by the amount of crates without also including your % chance of not getting something, once it's properly calculated it averages out to exactly what rustlabs says per item per box which makes this video completely pointless as the only information you need to know is which location has more boxes. Opening multiple boxes does not make your % chance to get an item per box go up, every box will still be 1% if the drop rate for the item is 1%.

Hey! This is awsome and you can get a more accurate calculation of % chance of a gun drop, by the following: say a gun drop from a given container is 3%. If you looted that container 20 times, what's the chance of getting one gun. That's what your asking? So we know that the chance of not getting a gun is 97%. So .97^ 20, would say that, there is a 54% chance we dont get a single gun. Which says, there is a 46% chance we get at least one gun.

the best thing u can do on a bp wipe is take large oil with a bow 30 mins into wipe then take cargo with the guns u got then buy mats at outpost for a base
i just found 2 rocket launchers a custom a flamethrower and thompson in sewer and that was before seeing this video so i highly recommend that

I assume your numbers are based on the belief that you can add the percentage chances together - i.e. 20 crates at 2% chance per crate yields a 40% chance of a wep. Unfortunately it's not that simple. You'd end up with a distribution curve of X percentage of finding Y guns per monument, where Y is 1-20 (using above example) if each crate can drop a max of one wep. I appreciate the effort and understand the reasoning, but based on my experience I don't agree with the numbers and this is my guess as to the method you used as opposed to what you'd need to use, unless you're stating the most likely scenario percentages (the peaks of each distribution curve) and my luck is just awful which is completely possible
either the percentages are outdated or incorrect, it's really rare to find guns in low tier monuments, certainly not in the ballpark of 9%

the chances seem pretty fair but then you have to consider that if you're playing on a typical rust server with 100-300 players the chances of you finding a fully unlooted monument is the best way to go. I think its best to just try to make plays
