His genuine and honest which adds to his likability. I've never get the feeling Larry is trying to sell his products while watching his vids.
The products speak for themselves …
This is the kind of OCD that someone with a mega dollar exotic car would want to detail their car. I applaud your eye for details sir.
I did this to my firebird lol
@Clayton Salvigsen that’s so awesome haha. 👍
Not really. It’s something anyone can do and should if you a car guy. Pretty straight forward. Dirty tires are like dirty shoes. They tend to stand out.
I don't have mega dollars, and I clean my car like this inside and out I just want to keep it looking nice and try to prevent unwanted damage.
I thought I was crazy for taking my wheels off and cleaning the back sides of the spokes and the barrel, claying them if necessary and then applying wheel sealant to every surface regardless of how visible it is when on the car. Then comes Larry and polishes the wheel with a rotary to get off the hard stuff and shows us his system for cleaning his lug nuts without losing sight of which wheel they were on. Absolutely bonkers. Larry, we love you. Also I bought one of your spoke wheel brushes and it rocks. Legitimately my favourite detailing tool. Would you considering doing a general video on exterior trim pieces? You've spent a lot of time showing us techniques for paint and wheels and mechanical parts (engine bay etc.) but I've never seen you do a full video of how to clean/polish chrome door handles, plastic scuttles, window seals, exhaust tips etc. I love this fine detail stuff and I'm really interested to see how you do it.
Your OCD is over 9000. I love it.
CDO - alphabetical order...
Nice one lol
I'm shocked that he didn't clay bar the lug nuts...
Artagain or just buy new since the old may have stretched from being previously torqued.
Joe Smith the joke went way over you head...
Jay Bosslingo no i know what you meant and that it was a joke. I just figured he take it a step further and get shiny new colored or black lug nuts and use the excuse the threads where stretched from being torqued down on old ones.
@Joe It's the studs that stretches, not the nuts.
I'm shocked he didn't mark which stud each nut came off.
"I don't like to go too nuts on these" I see what you did there...unintentionally. 22:40
Larry is my favourite KZheadr and Deatailer in the world. He is full of honesty, integrity, skills, kindness and knowledge. With those assets, one can`t go wrong. I love that he is sticking to his values, that are admirable to say one have, but it is a different thing to actually live by them aswell. If I have to give som constructive critisism, I have watched all his videos at lest 2 times, and some of them more than ten times, I would say with lots of love, please upload longer videos and try to include more before and after shots and videos. That would be the iceing on top of the cake, that last "carnauba wax on top" :D I hope that this comment reaches Larry! Best regards Ozzy from Norway
Thanks for the kind words Ozzy! It's easy when I love what I do. Thanks for watching. I'll try and get more before and after shots in my videos. -L
Thank you Larry :D -Ozzy

I love this thread
I could watch you clean all day. My inner OCD persona breathes a sigh of relief as you work your magic. I usually avoid recommending products to my friends because all car enthusiasts know "that guy" that's always telling you what you use is crap and their stuff is obviously superior. However, I recommend you, you product, and your videos to all my automotive friends. You take the time to educate more than just hawk your wares. To me that's essential in earning trust as to your depth of knowledge and passion to what you do. I choose to believe that those traits do indeed carry over to your products, (yes I've seen the video where you describe how you came to make your own stuff). Your sincerity shows and as a result I feel comfortable recommending your products to others. Please keep up the good work and know that many of us enjoy watching your videos and learning about the cleaning process and more importantly what NOT to do. Namaste my good man, and may fortune continue to smile warmly upon you.
Thanks for the kind words! Glad the videos are helping you out.

You've probably heard this a hundred times but your channel is an absolute god send. You do not endorse your products at all and claim yours are better than competitors, you focus on the technique and how to achieve a great end result. Your videos are straight forward for us laymen to understand and you come across as a super genuine guy. I hope you keep making great videos like this and your business continues to prosper!
So how do you detail the inside of your tires?
haha
take off the tire and clean it
Through the valve stem once removed using one of those Q tips. Right after you Q tip all the lug nut threads. ALL OF THEM, EVERY THREAD.
Sam Eagle I do not know but he will find a job

I really like these videos. I know im never gonna clean my wheels so throughly, but the way Larry is so excited while doing it is fun to watch. Also, he always gives great tips.
I REALLY LOVE THE WAY YOU TAKE CARE YOU PORSCHE ! IM A FAN OF EVERYTHING YOU DO BUD !
Larry, I enjoy the videos...premium detailing content. My engine builder turned me on to the ultrasonic cleaner from Harbor Freight for smaller parts, its absolutely amazing. It dawned on me while watching this video how perfect it would be for lug nuts, cleans inside and out...you wont believe how dirty your solution will be after after cleaning these small parts.
Gotta say man, I really love the honesty you have behind this product. Realistic, and Genuine. I definitely will be buying.
I love how much time and effort you put into your videos man. You have great tips and advice on cleaning and protecting. I wish I could have a garage like that one day. Keep up the great work!
I've used clay bars for years and would never wax my vehicles without this important first step. However, I never flatten the bar into a "pancake" as instructed. I always use it as a full "bar" and for good reason. Allow me to explain: When the bar surface becomes soiled, I take a common Potato Peeler and take a few seconds to shave off the soiled layer, exposing a new pristine surface. Using this method, I've had clay bars last for years and there is never a question about the bar being too soiled to use any longer. I never understood the logic in folding microscopic contaminates back into the bar only to resurface sometime later ???
NFL YoungBoy that’s actually pretty smart
NFL YoungBoy you clay your paint every time you wax? 😟
Thank you. I was always thrown off by that as well. Great idea
@@JosephWheeler14 I do It too. Is it a problem? Usually good wax brands lasts for many months.
Matheus Salabert it will damage the paint over Time. Clay is pretty aggressive.
god i love you so much! you've got an amazing personality and you're an awesome dude!
This video has appeared in my recommended every year since 2016 before winter. Enjoy re-watching it every time!
Hi Larry. I'm currently off my feet due to some Achilles tendon surgery and, consequently, unable to detail my car. Your so well produced videos are helping a great deal with the frustration and depression associated with recovery. I should be able to detail, again, in about a month. Thanks so very, very much.
:D Best notification, a new Larry video!!
Anyone else see the bug climbing at 8:10?
yes

KrippeReno Jackson i thought i was going to be the only one
it's from his necklace rubbing on his mic.
2 years ago I knew the detailing world because of you, thank u Larry for continue doing this videos for us! A greeting from Barcelona!
I come back every year and rewatch this video. Thank you Larry for your hard work!
As long as you realize you are a little coo coo, I'm alright with that.
@Maurice Milles Mansa his job is to clean cars, why not be a good car cleaner?
Antonio Silva there wouldn’t be any good detailers if ocd didn’t exist
@@devn3813 Bingo! At least you get it...
uhm, I was an automotive mechanic for a while and I can tell you for sure without a shadow of a doubt it doesn't matter if you mix up the lug nuts. sometimes you will have some studs or nuts that have been worn, keeping track doesn't matter you have to replace them.
Ammo, I would like to say thank you. I just cleaned my rims on my car. getting it ready to pull it out of the garage for the summer. cleaning the inside of my rims make a big difference. I have learned alot. thanks AMMO
"Insane, Crazy people videos" Best line ever lol. Great video Larry keep them up
For the "carpeted" or felt wheel wells, you can use either the hydriphobic coatings some brands do for interior carpets in cars, but that might be a little pricier. Otherwise, you can just use the same stuff people put on winter shoes, the cheap spray on stuff which makes timberlands and other shoes water resistant. Just cake that onto the felt/carpet in the wheel wells :) Works amazing, and is quite cheap
I just love your passion for detailing cars man, even though i am not really in to it myself i just could not stop watching because of it. Keep it up dude! Cheers
you are certainly an artist. I've never seen this kind of cleaning before (my ignorance) I never imagined there was so many steps to properly cleaning and detailing. You really do a great job. thanks for sharing your expertise with us. Mike
Larry is one of my car heroes
Ive learned so much from your videos, very inspiring.
thanks for watching!
Larry your a good guy...the fact that you sell your own products and your still concerned about your viewers not wasting their money is refreshing. Besides that, great video like always...and the car and garage look awesome!!!
this is brilliant - Larry you are such an inspiration. Thanks to you, I am trying to perfect my car washing techniques. Washing my car is my moment of zen.
You can use plastidip in the wheel Wells in winter that gets very the best protection
Larry, can you do a quick video review on the quickjack. There aren't really any good ones online and I think a lot of people are interested in them. Maybe just your thoughts, how you've been using them, height, other models, why you decided to go with this rahter than a medium height scissor lift for example. Thanks! Nice garage by the way, very jealous.
Good idea. I'll keep it in mind. Thanks
Eric The Car Guy has a video on his channel if you are interested. I found it to be pretty informative.
What brand is this quick jack?
Larry, I'm a huge fan! I'm so happy to see a video in your super nice new garage!!
This is one of the best car channels, with the most professional and well-made videos.
Thanks for the kind words and for watching and supporting AMMO!
I hate the cold too, so I moved from NYC to Phoenix. It was 83º today, just wonderful :)
Nice video dude, so much info.
I detailed for about 10 years and using the vac I never liked, but buffing I really enjoyed and loved the clients response.
this level of cleaning is far beyond anything Im willing to do but I LOVE the passion this man has for his cars. SUB
Good old New England, I love it when you try to wash road salt off your car at home and it just turns to ice.
Jason Dalton yup sucks rusts away your cars
Same here in old England...they grit the roads so much in the winter, ya see cars with really nice wheels but after time the salts penetrated the paintwork causing it to bubble making them look quite bad.
My wife watches you for a couple minutes, then looks at me and says "Yep, He's got the same disease you have.."
Good disease to have though 😊
very organized and you explain each step perfectly. The side notes are very helpful. you make these videos enjoyable with those great tips of yours. you keep every step detail and really elaborate alot which viewers really need, thanks for insight and knowledge!
Larry is the realist auto dealer outchea!!!! I absolutely love your videos man, my favorite is also vacuuming and wheel cleaning. keep up the great work you're an inspiration to me
"I dont like to go too nuts on these.." Larry on lug nuts, great one :)
That was an awesome rim job
Martijn Jonkers 😂
Love a good rim job!
You guys ammo product is the best. I have a Volkswagen CC 2017 and I buy all ammo product interior and exterior and it’s the best investment ever. Not only that but this guy has helped me detailing cars including my own! Keep doing what you do my boy god bless
I love that you show all this on your track driven car, I'm getting ready to do the same thing with my old Z06 and its got a layer of brake dust like your calipers and back of wheels and had no idea how I was going to get them clean.
ANYONE hearing a weird cracking sound?
XWOLF45X it's his necklace

I need your advice, I found a nick on my drivers seat leather between the seat edge and the transmission tunnel. It's a 955 Cayenne S with palm interior. Maybe post a video to show you! Love your channel and thanks in advance.
I absolutely love you’re obsession with cleaning. I didn’t know I had one too till I bought my new car. After watching your videos I have gone on amazon. My cart is now filled with over a grand worth of cleaning supplies. It adds up quick.well worth the investment to preserve your much more experience investment. Thanks for flooding KZhead with helpful informative and entertaining videos. Love what you are doing keep it up. And put a gosh darn clear bra on the beautiful work bench already.
Cleaning a Car it's just an amazing activity, it clears your mind and makes you feel really happy with the results!
Take a drink every time Larry says cold or winter 🍻 lol
JDMSteven or junk.
Pro tip for winter. Buy a daily beater and don't drive nice car in winter
wkeil1981 not everyone has money for that though.
well if youve got no money your probably drive a daily beater anyways , so no need for detailed cleaning. If you can afford a nice car you can certainly afford a daily driver. Ive got just that doesnt matter where I park it or worry if it gets scratched it only cost me $1200. My nice weekend car cost me 50k so I certainly dont drive that everyday.
Andreas Lie you can have the money for that one day. I believe in you and know you can be successful.
wkeil1981 I try to do good and work hard, thank you.
wkeil1981 get a 4x4 ford ranger for driving in the winter.
Great video, ammo NYC sets the bar when it comes to detailing knowledge... thank you
I can confidently say that Larry is the absolute best detailer in the world. 100% no doubt about it.
Awesome vid, Larry, thanks for this one! I LOVE deep-cleaning wheels too, as weird as we may seem for doing it. One thing I have to say - since most people probably don't change their wheels/tires out as often as you or I do, it's probably not the best idea for most people to wash out lug nuts like that, as it can introduce rust between the threads, and make removing the lug nuts in the future extremely difficult. Obviously, this can be mitigated with a dab of oil on the threads, or some anti-seize. LOVE this video, though. I've been wanting to get some more professional opinions for taking care of wheels.
I always use anti-seize on lug nuts - I've got it handy for brake pads/shoes anyway. And, of course a torque wrench (goes without saying, yes?).
I always use anti-seize, too. I sometimes get shit for it, but hey, I'd rather get my hands messy than deal with ruined lug threads! Also, I use application-specific brake grease for pads and shoes. I've almost used up my CRC brake grease, might try another brand. As far as a torque wrench...well, I use it where it's necessary, like for engine assembly, transmission, clutch, drivetrain, etc. My rule of thumb for tightening lug nuts is to tighten them as much as you can, but don't tighten them to the point where you can't break them loose by hand, should you have to change a flat tire on the side of the road. I'm very meticulous when it comes to re-assembly of stuff...haha.
I hear ye, I catch crap too from people putting anti-seize on my wheel/brake hardware but I still got 30 year old good lugs and studs while they are breaking them off every few years. I torque by hand too and by now I have a good enough feeling that I'm within 1-2 pounds of specs. Most people don't realize that (even tire shops) that a person can easily over torque wheel studs by hand with a regular 1/2" drive ratchet. Studs are very fine thread and 50lbs (avg.) is quite a bit for fine thread.
great video again but you need longer helper springs for your coilovers In germany the car would get no TÜV. because the 100% warranty is not given for a safe suspension. Because the mainspring is not properly guided at the negative spring travel think safe, work safe , drive safe greetings from Germany
Most german comment I could imagine. Don't ever change.
@@yermomsboyfriend I only read " would get no TUV"... and think, TUV? Turbo Utility Vehicle? Tits Under Vehicle? No one knows what he is talking about
MalteFS It means you won’t get any “Titties ur vagina”
It's an organisation which decides whether you're car is allowed to drive or not
Love the idea of you shooting winter prep videos Larry. Love in the new digs!!! Garage looks great sure looks like fun to play around in.!!! Love the the new Drive & Protect!!!! Hope to see more videos about winter prep and dealing with salt stains or rather trying to prevent them!!!
I love your videos. They teach so much! I too am crazy about getting my car clean and getting all the details
Is Larry slowly going more insane? Or is it just the editing is showing it more? Not that it's a bad thing.
Medication even just one main one like Paxil or Zoloft, Prozac etc.
come to Florida i mean the coldest it might get is 40 and that's during the winter
We feel your passion right through this video !!! Keep up the good work
great video Larry! love the whole new setup with the garage, the lighting, lift, camera angle, etc.... cant wait for more videos inside your "studio" haha.
Seperating the lug nuts would maaaybe make sense, if you put them back in the exactly the same position they were. When you put them back just on the same rim, couldnt make any less sense.
True bro.
I was waiting for someone to call this out lol
i think he did, when he was demonstrating he slowly put them in as though he was reminding himself of the order he took them off in/put them on the table
love your obsessive compulsive behaviour bro. Ur just like me :D
Well, he's not TOTALLY gone. I mean, he didn't change the air in the tires.
That was incredibly satisfying to watch, getting stuff cleaned that others won't even see, I thought it was just me!!! very cool 😎 👌🏽👍🏽
I'm stoked on these winter prep videos. Your new garage is working out great! that would suck to do out in the cold. Thanks for all the great info to feed my ocd :D
If I was car, I want to be your car. I'd get more love than I get as a human!
Does he have any videos about cleaning an engine bay? I've always wondered how to clean an engine bay if it's even possible
Sure does and yes it is possible
AJHedges If it isn't on this channel search Drive Clean engine bay and it'll be there. I know he's done one though.
AJHedges if you decide to clean your engine, put dielectric on every connection before you wash it. that way it's more protected and in the future don't have to worry about moisture. many people don't talk about that but helps with corrosion and it takes to long to cover up every connection to wash.
Erik Petrie i wouldn't use greasy armor-all. use something similiar to chemical guys silk shine, etc.
Clorox Bleach good point, would probably hold dirt too
Love your videos! Awesome job and the best in Detailing Vids out there! I am also OCD and Detailer you do a fantastic job! -Greg
Excellent video as always. I always enjoy your explanation on your detail work.
Where did you get the AGIP poster in the back? I have an Italian bike with that sticker on it and I think it would be cool to have it in my garage :D

Great video Larry! I watch all your videos. Do you sell you products in the U.K.?
Daniel Rhys Owen yes we ship to the UK daily
AMMO NYC Great can I purchase within the UK or do I have to pay expensive shipping cost? unfortunately I can't buy in bulk and I'm not a serious detailer just a guy who enjoys washing my car on weekends
AMMO NYC And lets jack lets jack!! jack jack jack jack!!
I've shipped Ammo products to the UK plenty of times, shipping was very reasonable
Stuart0202 Thank you?
Happy the garage is working for you, Larry. Looks awesome!!
Man I've been watching you videos and I must say I truly enjoy it and i have subscribed keep you the great work
Larry, it won't make much difference segmenting the nuts into each corners of the car as you most likely won't be aligning each nut with the stud they came off with. normally you try and keep bolts and nuts In the same place whilst doing engine rebuilds etc
Yeah I was thinking why not thread them back on and wash them with the brakes and suspension.
Depends on your OCD level haha
00:07:03 what is that circular thing on the inside of the rim next to his left thumb?
Blow off valve
Wow that’s the second best video I’ve seen for a rim job!!!!!
Larry, I like your detailing as u detail so minutely and very precisely. I really appreciate your dedication towards perfection.
thanks for watching!
have you heard of fluid film? Probably a detailers worst nightmare, since it holds on to dust, but the application is dam simple. And you can just keep coating it or use degreaser to take it off. undercoating can retain water. this method just cuts of o2 from the metal. Great for old rust buck beaters :)
Good for keeping new cars new also! I coated all of raw steel and aluminum on my car last year before winter still not a spot of surface rust anywhere!
I heavily looked into undercoating video. But fluid film was just too easy
And superior in anyway
***** your missing out. Rwd in the snow is a blast. I had a Crossfire a few years ago drove it every winter. It was still rust free when I sold it. You just have to keep the wheels waxed and some type of corrosion protection on anything bare. And good snow tires are a must! Old fashion tar undercoating is a waste and a mess there are allot of other better cleaner options. Just look around youtube and google.
Fluidfilm may be great rust repellant but man it does make the under carriage look like shit after application, I've had cases where the company that applied fluidfilm didn't prep the car good enough and I had overspray all the way up to the roof, it sucks cleaning it off paint.
anyone else getting a popping/scraping noise?
yes, i thought it was my headphones. But when i went to another video that sound was gone.
Brad Irons OOOOOOOH I thought someone in the background was fucking with a socket wrench
your channel must be thee best channel for detailing!! personally.. i like the fact your very ocd about the way you do it and even describing stuff in your videos
Larry, you lever of OCD is off they chart! I've done several of these steps prior to watching this video but I have learned a few things too. Thanks for sharing.
7:51 a bug starts crawling up the window trim - You're welcome, enjoy.
this is a great technique if you have a week to waste..
Great vids bro I love your attention to detail and your love for cars it really shows with your work 👍🏻
I wish I had 20% of the obsessive and detailed cleaning motivation of Larry. I'd be set for life! Creme de la creme, my man, creme de la creme.
Anyone happen to know what the circular plug looking things on the inside of the rims are?
Some sensors I guess?
RDK Sensors I suspect.
It is RDK sensors.
Your springs shouldn't move like that on the coilovers. Might wanna adjust your preload
Richard jesus There's no weight on the suspension man
Suspension is in full droop and they are presumably shorter springs than the factory geometry is designed for.
So? While driving on a bumpy or hilly track your wheels can easily loose contact to the ground. Than you have also no weight on the suspension. For exactly those situations you have the preload. You never ever want your springs dangling around.
those were installed and set up by speedsport tuning. Porsche guru's. pretty sure he's all set.
Bill Stanley right buncha armchair mechanics lol
Spring has sprung and man How much do I love this video :D
I like this guy's channel, I thought I was the only crazy guy that loves cleaning cars! I have 4 cars and a motorcycle and I am constantly cleaning all if them all the time, My wife thinks I'm not right. I truly enjoy this channel! Nothing better that a clean ride...
Polishing the inside of a wheel? I think you are crazy!
I agree it's ok to get a tiny bit of dirt on there.
George Payazitis Depends, on a daily driver ? yeah. On a collection type or car ,no.
This is nuts for standard winter maintenance. Too much time for infinitesimal small benefits beyond a certain point. This is car show detailing, not winter cleaning. Salt is going to eat all that work away in 2 seconds. In Colorado this would be a total waste of time.
