I’m not kidding when I say you can get this job done in half an hour. Just two cuts, a straight pipe, and some band clamps an you’re all set! Downshift to 2nd and at 3k RPMs tap the gas a few times and you’ll hear some loud pops.
Brownhash or rev up to 4K then feather push the gas paddle and you will here a machine gun
just rev up to 3k in second and feather the gas down to 2k and give it more gas up to 3k-3.5k
Left exhaust tip pair is hanging down the left side

Straight through resonators like that usually decrease back pressure in an exhaust and make power. The sound pressure pulses it is deadening is building up in the packing, making a high pressure area inside the packing, the air going through the resonator slides more easily over this high pressure air than it does along the side of a pipe.
After surching for a way to make my honda sound the best I found that a good resonator is all you need it works better than any muffler you could ever buy and actually if you ditch the muffler that car sounds way better

Great video and explanation, I prefer an aftermarket flow through muffler instead of the stock unit. The 335 N54 sounds great without any muffler or resonator but as we all know, it warrants some unnecessary attention. Lol

A man sounds good and looks good, I have a 335i 2008 and I was wondering what should I do a muffler delete or resonator delete or both ?
Start with one or the other and if it's not loud enough do both! Personally, I think a muffler delete would be nice on that car.

I deleted the resonator today, the same thing you did here myself, off of my 2018 F30 330i M Sport, I really wasn't hoping or even thinking it would make a difference in the sound but it actually did. I'm just waiting on my M performance muffler from a 340i to come in, I hope everything goes nice and smooth on the install but I'm not sure exactly what diffuser to get and from where, I mean I'll find it eventually.. But yeah anyways thanks for the video If I didn't see this I probably would have ended up paying over $100 for that. Thx👍

Hey JD. How many cats on this exhaust when this video was shot ? is it 2 or 4 ? Car sounds about right - wouldn't really want it much louder than that, or turn it into a popcorn machine, because it would get really annoying after a while.

Definitely do it. I have a E46 325i, and I started cutting off mufflers and resonators from the back forward until I was happy. Now it has only cats.... The sound is worth it!!

If you cut the resonator at 18” you don’t have to cut the new pipe... and you leave enough meat on each end of the resonator to reinstall with the clamps...

Does the link you posted for the pipe fit the f10 exhaust? I'm assuming they're all the same diameter
And is the 3in pipe over lapping the stock pipe at all or is it fitted to have a little bit of space between stock pipe and new pipe?

Hello, do you know what the inside diameter is from the small begin and end section it's too weld a straight pipe in the resonator because in my country it's illegal to do any modification to the exhaust

I think muffler delete is more effective than resonator. But the 335i looks amazing. Get M sport mirror caps and a lip spoiler, it’ll finish the look!

I own an f30 n55 and I love it. Issues free only thing I have replace is the oil filter housing gasket. I’m on 90k miles now Got it br
The f30 has the n55. The n54 is a legendary engine for tuning. I still miss my e90 a lot - such a good chassis
I did that on my Dad's CRX recently, the only thing I notice is the Engine run quieter + smoother. Reason for that is, his Resonator broke inside and it was blocking the Exhaust Flow.

Thx for letting me hear an n20 with the res deleted while the rest of the exhaust is still pretty much stock. Most res delete vids that ppl make have all sorts of other changes in the exhaust so on top of res delete it could be muffler and cat delete as well and im just like ok so that told me nothing lol. Im just here to hear the res delete on a completely stock exhaust lol. For now lol
