You really should of put the marauder in there with a 4.7 v8 and a super charger for a land yacht
not to be "that guy" and it isnt an insane sleeper by anny means, but the bmw 330e since its a hybrid and the engine is running a super low tune u can get 400+hp with just a stage 1 tune
You have too do a part 2 and please add the mercury marauder
How is a Porsche a sleeper?
First sleeper I ever experienced was a neighbor (I was about 10) who "shadetreed" a Porsche 2.0 L into his '66 bug and kept everything stock except the tranny and exhaust (this was about 1968)....took me around the block, my intro to small fun cars as my dad was a caddy man.....
Nothing wrong with caddies and modern day Cadillacs are fast fun great handling cars! I’m a Cadillac guy. I own 4. A 14 ATS, 05 STS4, 05 deville and 69 deville!!
The newer turbo bugs come with a 2.0 Porsche engine
@@harry9828 cool but is it a flat four (like yee old engines?)
Saw one in Germany on the autobahn. Going that fast in that car had to be scary as heck!! Later saw it at a rest area being shown off. Impressive car.
The holden commodore (chevy ss) was made in my home city Adelaide since the late '70s and it is still probably the most common car you see on the roads today. It's got a reputation as being the car that all the hoons and 'bogans' drive - if you're driving one, especially an older one, you'll probably be the first get pulled over by the cops for a breath test. They made all sorts, from fairly boring V6's to the 6L V8's and there's a division called HSV (holden special vehicles) which have even more powerful versions that now sell for $200k+. So yeah, if you're in adelaide and hear some tyres screeching its probably old mate in his commodore skidding around the corner...
and then the $1 million W1 🤣
100% Facts
@@danielzwanink7714 that is the biggest con I've ever seen played on Aussies, $100k for a Commonwhore is absurd but $1 million is just straight up robbery
I am old mate… can’t deny my giddyness over a worked 6L
I love how not a single older Amg made it to this list, they are the definition of sleepers imagine getting gapped by a r63 amg minivan
Older AMGs are the best definition of elegant and graceful. Newer AMG model nowadays lost that characteristics though...
Finally someone with a brain
2017-2020 Lincoln MKZ 3.0t AWD 400hp, 400lb torque. Same engine as current explorer ST and larger Lincoln SUV. Cheap mods can get even more power. Cheap used and ride in comfort
Proud owner of an awd with drivers package. My car flies
Same here. It just pulls and pulls through rev band in Sport Mode. Love the looks on people faces after getting walked by Lincoln 😂
That Lincoln ls was a beast too. Used to have a buddy with one and the v8 in it sounded like a beast and it would roast the tires just barely pushing down the gas pedal.
My sister has an Odyssey. I took her family to the airport and I drove it home. I was dead shocked about how fast that thing could go, and it's handling wasn't even bad at all. I was pleasantly surprised.
I love those sport minivans!!🔥🔥
The SS is like super rare. I have yet to see one in person.
I own a 2014 PMB, always catches people off guard.
Not many sold in the USA due to terrible marketing.
And expensive
@@DEVILTAZ35 they didn't market them on purpose as Chevy had a deal with Holden to buy a certain amount of them so Holden didn't shut down but in 2020 GM axed Holden
my dad has one
The original Lexus ISF, in a bland dark grey, is a true sleeper, with over 415bhp, 0 to 60 of around 4.6 sec and world's first 8 speed auto. Always have very confused Porsche Drivers at the lights.
Yep, they're expensive though.
@@AndrewPruteanu getting more expensive, as is almost any car these days, but in reality people are waking up to the fact that this is a very reliable car, less maintenance expenses and overall a reliable and true sleeper.
Ever since NFS undercover, it's been my dream sedan ever since. Make it sound as deadly as a g8 gxp and it beats a SS by a longshot
@@marquaviouschester6947 indeed! The Chevy SS and the ISF are quite similar in many ways and very dissimilar in most others! Having been Blessed to have the ISF as a daily driver for over 2 years, it never ceases to amaze, while still performing reliably and also shocking many on the road, as nobody expects the humble IS... (not many even know about ISF). I still remember many years ago when I first spotted a ISF (in the famous blue), just recognising it by the quad exhausts....
@@binoymathew5413 and believe it or not, the isf ended in the same fate as the ss because nobody knew it even existed. I didn't even know it existed when I played NFS undercover…in 2013. I've been looking for one and they're cheap-ish for what they are, but then there's the GTO…
Srt-10 and especially The SS is really awesome 🔥
Back in the days before I convinced my wife that we didn't need two large family haulers I was so ready to get into a turbo Flex. In the end, I'm glad that I went with something smaller and more nimble, but I still dig them.
Check out the Honda jade. A smaller, sexier, sporty-er version of the odysee.
0:47 missed opportunity to bring the Caprice/Chevelle name back, IMO.
The Caprice name was used in Australia as the luxury Commodore and in the US as a PPV... So it wasn't entirely dead...
Yah I have a 2011 caprice ppv 6.0 v8 smashing on everything.. That's my sleeper.. Everyone is like what is that thing, I love it..
@@MartinJones123 true...but they could have used the Caprice name across board, and not just limit it to the PPV models in the US and the Australian models.
@@damilolaakanni Oh... I forgot to add that the Caprice was also exported to the Middle East, Korea and China... Though the Chinese and Korean ones didn't use the Caprice name...
I love my '13 Genesis 5.0 R Spec! 429 HP and not a second look!!!
2017-2019 Ford Fusion Sport wit the 2.7L TT V6
or the 2010-12 with the 3.5L v6.
I’ll never forgot when Mazda speed 6 beat my buddies 450hp 2.0T Gen Coupe… in front… of… EVERYONE! He was the fastest of our Gen Club… 😢 Mine had haltech with anti lag 🔥
I have an accord v6 coupe 6mt from 2013, and while it is fast on the straight... the car cannot claim to be a sport car at all, not even close. Insanely great engine though, ok manual transmission for a FWD, but that's about it... Good grocery getter, close to the old spirit(70s) of an american muscle car, a car that handles pretty poorly, but looks cooler than other grocery getter and a sleeper on the straight.
Thank you we really needed this
I want most of the cars in the list lol. But feel the biggest snub would be the Dodge Magnum RT/SRT8
because theyre huge pieces of s h i t like most chrysler products
Wondering how the Mercury Marauder keeps missing the cut.. 🤔
Probably cuz its just a rebadged Crown Vic. Although he left that off the list too.
03-04 came with the mustang Cobra 4.6 4v n/a
2017 Lincoln MKZ 3.0T AWD. 0-60 in 4s, 400 HP & 400 ft/lb and way better looking than the SHO! No one assumes anything until they see the tail lights blaze off in the distance.
5:55 I've driven my dad's Accord and yes, it's heavy. And yes, it's fast. The fastest I went with my dad's Accord is 260km/h (around 160mph). I know I know it's not that impressive. But I like it.
160 in an Accord is impressive. I drove a '98 Accord from my dad around for a few years. I remember going at least 170 but you have to PUSH IT. Power of 90s Honda and VTEC.
@@yourfinestlocalidiot wow that's cool. My dad used to have a '98 Accord too. It is a great car. Can't forget the melodical chime when my dad turned off the car while we're getting out of it. Meanwhile the one I drove at the time is the 2014 Accord.
You can tune the Accord coupe’s to the moon. I’ve seen them at JDM/japanese sports car rallies moded up to 700 HP, with lambo doors and big wings and air scoops. INSANE
@@crazysilly2914 I love coupe Accords too. But unfortunately coupe Accords didn't sell well in my country though...
@@crazysilly2914 really? cause i got a 15’ accord coupe & there’s no type aftermarket things for it.
Great video dude
I have Kia rio 2005 and I want to turn it to sleeper car how much would it cost? If I will work on it
A forgotten gem is a 1992 Mazda 323 GTR... So me how no one talks bout it.. for it's time it's gas mileage was amazing and Had 1 major fail part which is extremely easy to replace
In the age of no more STI and pretty lame hondas/VWs, Mazda neeeeeeeeeeeeeds to make a Corolla GR competitor.
I saw one and it looks like if an evo 1 and a pulsar gti-r had a baby
@@marquaviouschester6947 🤣🤣🤣 but the reliability is insane
@@iamd3ad_ang3l10 no duh, it's a Mazda
I had a mazdaspeed 6 that I should never have sold! But my Kia Stinger is definitely a sleeper too
Kia Stingers are underrated/sleepers because the badge but they are great cars
I am a 6-6 2008 Honda Accord Coupe owner and i can say that i have all the fun in the world this sleeper, i mean 0-60 in 5.2 seconds in a fwd grand-pa car is amazing ahaha
I had 2002 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 with 2.5 Turbo V6 and AWD. It was amazing how a taxi looking car can easily beat Mustangs and Camaros
I love sleepers. My dad owned a special version of the VW Passat in 1990, it was a limited edition sold only in Germany: a wagon with Audi Quattro engine and awd. Yeah! 5L turbo 240hp awd. The only hints were the BBS wheels and a small rear badge. We liked to dust Porsches and Mercedes on the highway and look at their faces 🤣. And yes, our family dog came along.
I own a speed 3 and 6 and i definitely agree with the last choice
What are the prices tho ? Ive been looking for a ss for little over a year now and the cheapest is around 36k … not really cheap
I agree. Cheap needs to be removed from the title
Holden Commodore Guys the 1st sleeper built in Australia - one of and still is a icon cars along side the FPV that go hard
What is the deal on the Odyssey? That awd flex limited is my favorite so far I already own a 2015 expedition el limited with EcoBoost 3.5.
Hey that’s me when I owned a speed6 at 9:35 lol awesome
I love this vid. I want most of these cars.
so you got the SHO, the FLEX and even the mazda with the 3.5 v6 - what about the fusion sport? my little mustang killer is sitting in my driveway right now.
Ok but what year for the Mazdaspeed? Are they all good or are there some years that are better?
is there chevy SS in canada or they only in australia?
My grandparents have a Flex and it has really good pickup.
I have a 2017 jaguar Xe Premium that I picked up for $13,000 bucks with just 72,000 miles. Came with a 340 HP supercharged V6 that made the aluminum body car already quick but a simple VAP tune and pulley change bumped that up over 400 HP and man this thing with AWD embarresses so many "muscle" cars. Puts a smile on my face everyday.
Damn $13k how!!
72,000 + jaguar = have fun with the repairs
Personal sleeper moment I had a 09 G8 GXP. 6 man in panther black, sunroof car. Pulled a Challenger RT on the freeway, when he caught up he gave me the “what the heck is that” hand shrug. Classic sleeper. Before that gapped a Mazda 3 tuner, when he caught up at the next light, he says “does that have a V8?” Lol
i have an 06 v6 6 speed accord sedan. super fun and reliable daily & definitely recommend if you can find one.
if I remember correctly, the newer lincoln mkz has an optional twin-turbo v6 making up to 400hp (and it's AWD)
It’s around the sho but slightly slower. It’s def a sleeper and practically a Lincoln sho
I own one i can confirm
The 09lincoln mkz is nasty I just recently bought my wife one and it def a sleeper had it to 141mph and backed off we are going to tune and do exhaust and see what she'll do.
2017 fusion Sport has a 2.7l Ecoboost and looks good too.
W211 55 kompressor wagon... That's cool sleeper :)
Sleeper cars that get slepttttt on 🔥 title
The 06 Nissan Altima SE-R 6spd is a pretty great sleeper car!!
Best pick by far Mazdaspeed 6 Great tuner car to this day
Just about every Saab that was built! Everyone thinks of them as beige accountants car, but they all came with a nice big turbo! Loved my 9-3 aero convertible! And back to the 90's, the lotus carlton or the sapphire cosworth, I had the 4x4 cossie and it was mental in a big old boring saloon car!
I live in Europe and drive a car that is synonymous with old, slow people: a 2005 Mercedes B-Class. The majority of these has 95-136 horsepower and not much torque so it's perceived more as an obstacle on the road. Except mine is the B200 turbo with 193hp which is the only version that goes over 200kph. It's very stable at top speed and the acceleration brings pure joy. Also the trunk is probably related to the wardrobe that leads to Narnia, you can fit so much stuff into it and still have spare room.
Had a flex limited, 3.5 Ecoboost, livernois down pipe, 5 star e85 tune... 410 whp 440 ft lbs torque.. ultimate sleeper.. good luck keeping a ptu in it though...
I used to have a 2004 volvo s40. I put a cold air intake on it, cat delete, bigger turbo with a manual boost control and had it chipped. It wasn't fast off the line like 0 to 30 but once it caught boost it would smoke the front tires at 30. On the highway it was rocket.
First sleeper I drove was a foxbody that my uncle got in college. Had drag tires out back and a put together flow master exhaust cat back. This was 05 I was like 13 and he let me rip it in a empty parking lot. Almost went into a ditch but we made it. Thanks UNC 😅
I literally thought of the str-10 this morning and there it is reminding me of what it Is capable of
great video this is my favorite youtube channerl!!!!
Hey I love the del slow
V6 accords are so underrated go drive one someday but needs the manual and a muffler delete to hear the J a little better
any first used car recommendations?
2017 Ford Fusion Sport with AWD and 2.7l TT Ecoboost....serious sleeper!
mazdaspeed 6 has got to be one of my favourites. It just looks like a dads car but damn it seems to pack a punch!
Ford literally helped mazda jump to piston motors.
My '13 lincoln mks ecoboost is the even more sleeper version of the SHO sleeper.
The Chevy SS is the holden commodore SS in Australia ...theyre everywhere. The 4 sec 0-60 time you quoted, youre probably gonna need the supercharged model
The true sleepers are the Hyundai Genesis Sedan, Hyundai Equus, and Kia K900, all with RWD or AWD, and up to 420-430 HP stock. Of course nobody talks about them cause they are "kOrEaN bAd"
Oh thank God! I thought when you brought up the accord, you were going to blow the secret that the 2018+ sports and higher have the new type r motor in them...
my impala hits hard already and it's a V6 lol plus can use e85 but can still hit 140 mph on just 87 at 305 hp, that's amazing lol
Sleepers FTW!
Glad the speed6 made the list.
Omg bro i love how u put my fav car supra on slow car that looks fast 😢
I got a 2013 Honda Accord 6-6 , those cars are fast and has a lot of torque . Around 2nd hear it pulls hard and the gear after
The Chevy SS is what Chevy called it. Tho Holden model of the SS is called a SV6 which here in Australia IS VERY POPULAR like you would see a few a day. But not like the Chevy SS which is a sleeper. Holden made a station wagon of the SV6 (just the looks are different) and they also made a Ute version of it. Ford tried to make but a little different. But I'm not going to talk about that since I'd need to do loads more of explaining.
How the fuck are you from Australia and got it so wrong? Chevy SS is the equivalent of the Aussie Holden Commodore SS, both with a V8 engine. The SV6 is just a sportier (with a V6 engine) version of the Commodore.
Mazdaspeed 6 is by far my fave.
Craziest sleeper I ever saw was a pink Geo Storm. It had a 3.8 shoehorned in somehow.
The best sleeper car is the Toyota Chaser. I got one imported a few years ago and absolutely love it
I remember those . Interesting little car.
Even better is the Toyota Blade Master G. Compact hot hatch based on Corolla, but with a 3.5L V6 2GR engine.
early love the vids !!!
The Buick Verano Turbo is faster than the Regal & about 800 pounds lighter. It is beyond sleeper since it really never has been noticed much beyond its tail lamps.
Can you please do fastest cars with 2.0 or smaller engine? I want to get a first car and cant pay so much for registration and insurance
I always see the SHO but not the Fusion Sport listed 😢
Forgot about the Lincoln line up with the 4.6 DOHC motors. Mark viii would have walked all over that impala ss
Can confirm that the Odyssey is pretty quick
Early 2000 gtp and mid 2005 gxp where great sleepers too
nice video bro
If you want to talk V70 sleepers the real deal was the T5 with Volvo’s 2.3L high pressure turbo pushing out 247 horses and hooked to a 5-spd manual. It wasn't as quick as the R but it also didn't have the R’s body kit, spoiler, lowered ride height or 18” alloys. It looked like any other Volvo wagon in the Safeway parking lot but could crack 60 in 6.5 seconds. I dusted off more than a few unsuspecting kids in slammed Civics and V6 Camaro’s with mine. I really miss that car, actually.
We have a few RAV4 prime hybrids in my cab fleet. The high seniority get first dibs on them, but I got lucky one day to drive it while working an extra shift. O...M...G...that thing took off so fast and maintained it's speed so well. Idk what Toyota was thinking making a damn hybrid a sleeper.
The 2011 Infiniti M56 has a 5.6l V-8 making over 400HP! Big luxury sedan that smokes 5.0 crowd cruisers!
I got a Mazda 6s it's very fun to drive
03/04 Infiniti M45: 4.5L V8 340HP RWD TOP SPEED 155 Super fun sleeper 😎
I remember they called this the Muscle Car with a Brain.
No one talks about the 3rd gen GS450h, but they go under 6 secs, are dirt cheap and you'll save gas as well...as long as the battery is ok.
you guys need to look at the Nissan Stagea 1996 to 2001 came with a RB25DET then 2002 onwards last gen came with VQ35 turbo
Great bedmintons events while burnsing trail of flashee slopokez
The 850 turbo R is a great Car to add.
The subaru forester xt has got to be one of the most slept on sleepers of all time.
I own a 2013 volvo xc60 r -design suv, it's also a sleeper alot of people don't even know that it has a polestar tune from the factory and makes 325hp and 354tq it's very quick.
Damn in Europe we get the Buick Regal GS as a Opel Insignia OPC😂
So you're telling me 300+hp and awd in a Mazda speed 6 that has room for a car seat awesome!
In stock form, it came with 274bhp and 280lb/ft of torque, which are still great numbers from the factory. Although they have a great aftermarket and tuning support to push 300hp and way more.
@@theanti-come people could say the same about the Toyota camry from 2002-2009 but because of the aftermarket support for the scion tc
I had a 1960 Morris Major with a 283 Vet motor, 3 speed manual with 2 overdrives, Pontiac posi rear end, Buick finned rear drum brakes. Black. tan leather interior. A true sleeper. PS: Add to your list a Maserati BiTurbo, looks like a Corolla. Also the 94-96 Impala SS was a stand out mean ass car in its day. Not a sleeper. But you get the Buick Roadmaster n Caddy Fleetwood Brougham ??, had the Corvette engine, trans, brakes as the SS, but softer suspension. That is your sleeper. Get one and add the SS suspension and wheels/tires. Make my Buick Roadmaster Stationwagon
SS is my dream car. It looks good, sounds good, and is a lowkey car.
In South Africa, the Chevy SS was called the Chevy Lumina SS. It was a dream car when I was in high school.
Speed6 owner here, lost my license 3 months ago testing out my base map tune lmao. Once I finish tuning I'll be hitting nearly 400awhp it's slept on way too hard.
I think the first sleeperish I had was a 2009 Nissan Maxima suprislingly a pretty quick car that looks like a mom mobile
I own a sleeper, 2005 S4, can't even tell the difference from an A4
True
Dear Ideal Cars thank you for tanking up the prices of these "Cheap" cars
What about the 07 Audi S6 with the V10 ?!?
