  • I have to listen to this once every week so i dont mess her up with my "unrealistic" expectations ! 😂🙏 Edit: 27 Jan 2021: Wow.. had no idea this comment would have blown up this much.. perhaps i have not watched it every week but i certainly have been looking at "am i being right person" every now and then.. For those curious ! - yes , infact it so happens that i am getting married to her next week! :) Edit: 17 Feb 2022: We just celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary! And We spent so much quality time together and traveled to mountains and south and doing yoga together. And the question of "Am I being the right person for her?" is very much alive.. And the love I receive from her, I can safely say, she is keeping that question alive as well! Cheers to everyone! See you all in a year or 2 or 10! :)

    • The thing is that relationships exist from an emotional to a soul level for helping you evolve more as a life on this planet. You are already complete. Soul love does not mean that there is an exact copy of you, it just means you love that person for who he or she is.

  • For me, a soul mate is not someone who walks into your life whenever you needed them, or the ones only give you laughter, nor the ones that makes you happy every now and then, but someone, someone who is there when you are sad, when you are down and when you are having the most difficult times of your life but they will just be there until you pick yourself up. I wish one day I would tell the one I love, tell her that, "Thank you for having me in your life; because you are here, so I am here.

Everything we need is within ourself. We are the source of creation. Just look into yourself and understand your soul instead of finding a mate for it.

Both should have their own space to grow into what they want to. It is a process of give and take. But before looking for a soulmate one needs to know your own self and what really makes you happy.

  • I have an opinion that i want to express and share with you all in the comments. Guru said that its good to be with someone who is different from you. But i think that, on the long run, something that keeps the relationship going till the end of the time is actually someone who is as much as same as you. The Pros of differences are that at the beggining you are experiencing something new and you are excited. Cons is that after some time all of that excitement fades away and you are stuck with someone who you don't understand and vice versa. You don't get along anymore, you don't share the same interest and you definitely don't have the similar mindset. All of the details about them that you found exciting is no longer there and it becomes to bug you. They say "differences attract each other" but differences have a different paths and destiny. They say that you can learn from differences but thats not true. If you are working on yourself everyday you will be better than your different other and you will learn nothing from them if they are not working on themselves. The best way is to GROW with someone similar to you because you will grow in the same way. And as i said, differences will grow in opposite way. Thank you.

  • After becoming a complete person yourself. The choice is still important. you cannot just choose any nasty fellow and think that "I will put my heart and soul in it to make it wonderful." That is pretty unrealistic. There may not be any "soulmate" so to speak. But there is always a person who is a "True Friend and Confidant" and there is the person who is just there to drag you down psychologically without any understanding. And it is only rational to put your energies into the first kind of person. Then I don't know about a "Soul" but you can definitely end up with a good mate and have a life time partnership. Regards.

    • Wrong. Looks like you missed the whole point of Sadhguru's talk. The whole concept of "nasty", "drag you down", etc are constructs within you. No one can drag you down unless you let them. Besides, he also says that if you work on yourself first, perfecting your own sense of joy, good things will automatically be drawn to you. This makes sense, because as the old saying goes, "What we dislike about others or find nasty in them is actually what we hate in ourselves". 🙂

      @JuntaJanardhan@JuntaJanardhan5 жыл бұрын
    • Janta Janardhan That is just ignorance. The world doesn’t work like that. Period. To think that other people can’t drag you down is absolutely ignorant. Have you ever heard of an abusive relationship? And to think that if you do good, good things will come to you is simply magical thinking. No, you cannot control the universe; bad things can happen to anyone. That being said, the more you know and respect yourself, the better your decisions will be, thus perhaps “bringing” good things into your life.

  • You yourself are the real soulmate....!! In this entire world, souls anyways never “mate”, this’ a requirement of the Physical Being. If one introspects into the soul and is able to understand himself and the purpose of life - he’s found the “Soulmate = Solemate” Perfectly described by Sadhguru - you won’t be able to handle another of your kind....

  • My thoughts on soulmates: You are born complete and there are no missing parts that you need to seek in your life. We often lose our way believing we are incomplete till we find this soulmate. When we die our mind, body and soul remains on earth and with the person we love but our soul will return to its creator. Seek the connection with him to be complete. God is your soulmate.

    @1992rajesh@1992rajesh5 жыл бұрын
    • You can’t do that easily, it’s not - if you put your heart into something you love it . It’s absolute bs, which says you can love anything if you try. It’s only temporary and you’ll soon realize you’ve made a mistake will be not happy. So it’s not if you put your heart into something you love it but it’s if your heart desires/cherishes something you’ll love it. And if you do what your “heart loves” you’ll be happy. Stop listening to everything that comes your way on internet and carefully choose the carrier path that brings joy in your life. Peace ✌🏼

  • The whole concept of "compatibility" is an internal construct. No one can drag you down or raise you up unless you let them. Besides, if you work on yourself first, perfecting your own sense of joy, good things will automatically be drawn to you. This makes sense, because as the old saying goes, "What we dislike about others or find nasty in them is actually what we hate in ourselves". 🙂

    @JuntaJanardhan@JuntaJanardhan5 жыл бұрын
    • Compatibility is not just about whether someone (tries to) drag you down or lift you up. It's about sharing common goals and values. It's about making the most of your life and talents by picking someone to whom you can make a real difference, given his/her strengths and weaknesses.

    • @@TheJenniferKK Actually, the whole point that Sadhguru is trying to make, especially in some of his other videos, is that you share common values with not just every other human, but all other life on the planet. You DO NOT make the most of your life by "picking" the right person - you make the most of it by enhancing YOUR OWN consciousness. In an ideal world, the perfect human being could find a "soulmate" in his greatest enemy as well. Again, the answer lies WITHIN, not without.

      @JuntaJanardhan@JuntaJanardhan4 жыл бұрын
    • @@JuntaJanardhan No. One doesn't exclude the other. Answers lie everywhere. And you can definitely make the most of your life by choosing the person you can be of most service to.

      @TheJenniferKK@TheJenniferKK4 жыл бұрын
    • @@TheJenniferKK _"One doesn't exclude the other. "_ It may not exclude the other, but one is definitely a precondition for the other. You have to perfect (or at least enhance) yourself first before trying to be of "service" to anyone else. "_Answers lie everywhere."_ Wrong. All the answers le within you, since you're a microcosm of the universe. _"choosing the person you can be of most service to"_ Firstly, you don't need to be someone's soulmate in order to be "of most service to". If you're so inclined, you can choose to be of service to everyone around you equally well. Sadhguru says to not love one person, but to be loving to all - that is true inclusiveness. Secondly, looking for that one person who you can be of most service too seems like a recipe for a disastrous co-dependent relationship. A soulmate is not someone who needs you or you need to be with, but rather a meeting of equals. Ii seems rather apparent that you've learnt very little from what Sadhguru has said in his numerous lectures, since these are pretty much among his central teachings. Makes me wonder what you're doing here listening to his videos if you don't even intend on following the path he's laid out.
