  • I don't know why but there is a ridiculous pattern I have seen with begginers. They always push one of the centre pawns on the first move, then push their h or a pawns, develop their bishops to the edge of the board and then castle with both hands lol

  • For those curious, the reason white won in the beginning is because white had a queen staring at black's e7 pawn, and therefore had no way of capturing the knight. The king, being surrounded by friendly pieces, has nowhere to move either. Thus, checkmate. It's hard to see from the sideways angle. But I managed to recreate the position on a website and played from there.
