A few tips that you could've used Ice doesn't form if there's a block over the water. no need for torch spam hoppers on the sides of furnaces are for fuel only, the top is only for what you're smelting. You get better loot from fishing if it's not covered. torch spam your fishing ponds, not your farms. :) 4 Rabbit hide makes leather. You have unlimited leather just a bunny slaughter away Zombies don't despawn in boats. The best way to trap one is in a boat.
Also for the trees, if you cut down the wood, the leaves will start to dissappear, and the drops for saplings would be much higher.

podzol dirt makes the waiting process for waiting for spruce tree faster so you shouldnt remove them unless it goes to somewhere you dont want it to go break that part and only that part
Jockey chickens don’t drop eggs. They can breed tho, and their offspring do drop eggs. Also, it despawned because it wasn’t in a boat or nametagged. The zombie villager didn’t despawn because he picked up an item (rotten flesh). Good video, Nifty.

You could use the dandelion to lure rabbits and kill them pretty easy. A trick I used often early game in deserts. Also, you can craft leather from rabbit hides.
If you could make the Nether all one biome, then the perfect companion to all ice spikes overworld is an all basalt delta Nether.

That block you kept complaining about, my friend, is called podzol, and its generated due to the presence of large spruce trees. As long as you have large spruce trees, its going to keep generating podzol around it.

The tree cords are -781 66 134. It doesn't generate in 1.17 or newer, so you'll have to generate it in 1.16.5 or the tree will not spawn Seed is -5056555790736602959
Looking at those old ores that all had basically the same texture but just with different colors, I feel thankful for the new ore textures. The new ones are so nice, whereas the old ones are repetitive.

They’re all pretty good but I think they shouldn’t have made lapis shiny, I think they should’ve kept the old matte blue colour because the block isn’t shiny and all the other ores are shiny so it’s pretty repetitive

31:40 He wont despawn, mobs that can pick items up don't despawn if they are holding an item they picked up, same if they were to pick up and equip armor on them. (It is to prevent mobs from taking valuable items and then despawn, deleting the item for the players) Also, you don't need to brew a potion of weakness, lure and trap a witch and have it throw potions at the zombie villager. Posion wont work, potion of harming will heal it, potion of slow is, well, useless, and last but not least, potion of weakness will allow you to cure a zombie villager. It is a classic trick to have at least one witch trapped in a boat near an area where you want to cure villagers in skyblock servers, work like a charm once you get used to the trick.
Even when life is hard, at least we can rely on ice spikes to be there for us all

36:26 yes that is right the chicken despawned because you didn't feed it. If you feed or interact with an mob, it doesnt count towards the mob cap.
No the chicken wasnt a passive mob. It was the chicken part of the chicken jockey so they dont lay eggs and they despawn

Pro-tip for anyone who attempts this challenge for themselves: Put four snowballs in a two-by-two pattern, and you can craft them back into a block. This makes them more compact, both by compressing four items into one item, and by the fact snowballs only stack up to sixteen while snow blocks stack up to sixty four...but more importantly, snow makes for an excellent form of cheap building block in a world like this.
Hello there Nifty! You're kinda wrong in one thing, this isn't the hardest biome to survive, there's one even worse that doesn't spawn any hostile/neutral mob and doesn't have trees, woods or even grass, try to put an end biome in your world generator and see it by yourself :P

I've tried and you can definitely start an icespikes hardoce by e-raying a minecart chest in a mineshaft. That way you get wood from the mineshaft and get started. This you can do in random seed, but of course mining to the mineshaft takes LONG and is pretty dangerous if you run into a cave on the way.

The chicken despawns cuz it spawned with a zombie so it counts as a hostile mob. You gotta name it for it to not despawn. Pro tip for future challenges 👍

For your mining, what you could do is stand next to the stone wall and on each side just mine in till you can't reach. This is an easier way to find diamonds instead of just going in a straight line 😊😊
