At the edge of what was once the Aral Sea, completely dried up by the overexploitation of the waters of the river that fed it during the Soviet period. Today it has given way to a desert of sand and salt whose inhabitants breathe toxic dust. A journey of the extreme, in the company of endearing characters, whose struggles never undermine their courage and dignity.

What a change to watch some real life characters, beautifully filmed thank you .
Finally someone turned "In My Country There is Problem" into a documentary.
And that problem is transport ?
I love this documentary. Learned a lot about Kazakhstan. I admire these people living in harsh weather battling for their lives. Much love from Pakistan

This is how their ancestors came to live in this place originally, someone got stuck, and then the person who came to save them also got stuck and so on.

they got stuck at Kazakhstan and said fuck it.
Yea seems like getting stuck has a long tradition in everyday life there

Truckers in the US: "Wyoming blizzards are the worst. " Kazakhstan: "Hold my camel milk."
and where to get camel milk ? and then we ourselves can not find more camel milk is called shubat
@@Leopard12.-_-04 it is a saying in the US which means, " if you think Wyoming blizzards are bad, come to Kazakhstan. "
Wyoming, Nebraska and Iowa.. Tough going in winter, for sure
This is not that bad.... Been a trucker 17 years driving northwest and central USA through much worse on hills...
not funny
Amazing! Two loaders with an operator each - and neither one knew he could use the machine's bucket to pull or push himself out of a bog!
Mind boggling !
Those knuckleheads probably think the buckets are ornaments, 😂
Khazakstan corrupt he probably got that job because of who he knew not what he knew
Yeah, I said the same thing why didn't they put there bucket down and tilted forward or backward!!!!
Pretty obvious both were staged. videographers/producers wouldn't have to pay much to get these guys to screw up to create drama.

Conversation at Kazak truck garage. Sergie: Vlad, you should buy snow chains for the winter. Vlad: Nyet, it's summer, the roads are clear and the fields are dry, there is no need for chains now. Six months later Vlad: Segie, my truck is stuck in the fields, can you sell me some tyre chains? Sergie: We are all out of snow chains, we will have more in the spring.
Анекдот!!!
The chain will not help if the car has landed on the bridge.
American joke bruh
I am Kazakhstani. Our population is only 19 million and we have damn huge land. All main cities are located all over the borders and almost nothing in the middle. Just damn steppes. and we have extreme climates. This all what makes onroad logistics extreme. Minus 40 in winters and plus 40 in summers, so going onroad across country is overwhelmingly extreme, true. Randomly couple at least of people dye every year because were driving in winter to another city and got stuck
Randomly:)
Lisalesse hi thanks for your comment and sharing some interesting facts about your home country. Your country is rich in petroleum and minerals . I know that you're a government is interested in advancing National wealth by developing it's Industries. The only way that is going to happen is if the government of invest in improving its infrastructure of Roads and especially by investing in Road clearing equipment like snow plows and sand trucks. Cheers

Yeah but I think Kazakhstan is really poor
@Matthew Uk Tire chains give traction, it has nothing to do with tires freezing, whatever that even means.
@Matthew Uk The only thing the cold will do to the tires is make decrease the air pressure inside. What is a bigger problem is the tires getting stuck, and that's what chains help stop. Also why just immediately jump to the conclusion that all westerners are idiots because one person said something
Вот вся правда про Казахстан как народ выживает а не то что показывает хабар
Thanks for the great video!^)^

Many people write why there are no chains. Friends, chains will not help on loose snow.

I'm surprised no ones using snow chains on their wheels
You would think by know some genius sold them next to all the alcohol they were selling.
dont help in that mud or mud mix with snow
Chains just keep traction. If the snow is too deep or the mud, your fucked.
Maybe they don't make them there.

можно подумать что так только в Казахстане. а вот если внимательно смотрел и слушал там диктор сказал что Казахстан дикая страна. неуважительно как то, да и фильмец я думаю для этого затевался.

If they have dedicated routes like that on that road they should install plows on the front of the trucks. Much smaller of course but im sure it would prevent a lot of stoppage.
Каждый год одно и тоже. Не было зимы чтоб где-то в степях не стояли.
Great video. Those trucks need tire chains!
Цепи не помогут это не ваши дороги
I think if I were a dried fish seller, I'd feel like an Oblivion NPC.
Some tire chains could have worked wonders in many of these situations. Especially the trucks on the snowy pass. Hard to believe no one carries them in a region like that.
bro this is not Norway, it's a poor country... I bet they don't even have winter tires, and also in the video they said it's not winter, it was spring when that happened
@@johnnyhun1so the company can afford 200,000 dollar trucks but can't afford 500 dollars in tire chains? makes no sense, if it's spring that means they're coming out of winter lol
@@derekakaderek winter tires grips much more -> faster tire wear -> faster tire change period -> less money. Also more fuel consumption, and the tire itself cost much more. And if you are a company that operates with 10 truck you can buy 12 tire for 1 truck multiplied by 10 (the trucks you own). Not to mention the extra labor money when you change it back to summer ones. In Norway companies doesnt even change to summer tires, most of the trucks are going with winter tires even on summer, and in winter they buy a new one, but thats a rich country...
@@johnnyhun1 wtf are you talking about, you don't keep the chains on all winter. When you get to a section which is going to be difficult you put them on. i don't care how poor a country is, if they can afford massive trucks and trailers they can afford to buy the proper tires. 1 single fueling costs much more than getting tire chains.

So much of this is a misrepresentation of the Country as a whole. Yes, there are wild regions of vast open plains. There is also the The Polygon where the Soviet Union tested its nuclear bombs. Baikonur CosmodromeIt where Sputnik was launched. There is alpine skiing, modern cities, the best airline I have ever flown, ballay, opera, world class shopping, and shashlik. What there is not, is camel milk on every table. I get a bit sick of ignorant people that have never been there, or seen a fraction of the place passing judgment. Of all the things I saw there, what impressed me most was the people. Kazakhstan is located at the center of the largest landmass on earth. It’s a cross roads of cultures, a cross roads of time. An amazing adventure in both. I was only there a little over a year and saw only a small part of the place myself. What I saw reminded me very much of southern Alberta, near the Rockies. Rolling foothills with mountains beyond wide open skies, what we call in my part of the world big sky, and plains in the other direction. Real food….not crap created in a factory…Families with four generations in the same house, kids that knew and respected their grandparents. So yes there are areas of that nation that are a bit behind in the ways they do things, but in many cases that’s because the way they are done there, needs more muscle, more effort, but those ways still work there; Because those people can still do hard work!
I’d like to know what vehicle the film crew used?
At this point, they should give up fighting nature and move away. Just kidding! These guys are tough nuts. I bet they can survive anywhere in the world.
True. My brother. This makes Ice Road Truckers look like a day at the park
Honestly, life there looks depressing and beautiful at the same time!
Indeed. Extreme weather is fatal to the unprepared.
man i have to say that in all theyr poverty and desert they help each other like something i never saw, here in Europe you can die on the side of the road nobody will stop for days and they pass more than one evry minute. Also the problems they have and they keep calm some other here will get crazy. I admire how they live and the fact that probally actually for sure with all the pandemy of covid probally they have a better imune system than many of us.
Lol, there is all kinds of things. People from villages near the snow-blocked highway can scalp the victims by selling them supplies at 10x the cost. The government is very slow in clearing the roads bc of corruption, and sometimes people are left in their cars to die from cold as well. I live in Europe now, and people here are no less generous and good natured as in Kazakhstan
Generally speaking, people who live in rural areas help each other out. In cities, not so much.
Finally a late model truck. Very nice Volvo truck at 25:01
