Hey, what’s up guys in this video we are headed to the sourgrass jeep trail because mostly everything is still closed up here, Sourgrass is our favorite little local trail and it has never dissapoint. Its open year-round and due to the high amount of snow we received throughout the winter season the’re some new challenges this trip we will have to face. The snow is melting fast and the waterways are flowing heavily. Ive crossed this water crossing many times on 31 inch MTs. This time its a bit different. That was awesome! Anymore water crossings like that and you're going to need a snorkel.....and so is your Jeep! Breaking a side step just gives you an excuse to build something epic for side protection. Let me put my thinking cap on lol. Stay safe Dustin!
Exactly, now I have the excuse to build some sliders so that’s coming. And those side steps came off as soon as we got home 🤣 My kids are bigger now so they just climb up the tire. my wife liked them so I left them on since she does drive the jeep but she’ll live lol🍻

Wow, talk about a water crossing 😮. Couple times we did it, it sat below our belly skids. Won’t be long before the bypass is just as difficult with all the traffic 😢. Sweet video🤙🏼
It was the highest I ever crossed it. And the by pass is rutted and washed out. When I got there every vehicle but one got through without a winch. Thanks for watching 🍻

Hey buddy greetings from youtube jeepNdirt here on the east coast. Great footage, and great example of why it's important to BEEF up stuff like steering and why side steps are a HUGE NO NO for offroad. Those are rock hangers. Lol. I absolutely love those TJ's. Can't wait to see it on D44's.

We did Sourgrass trail October last year, then Dear Valley the next day. The water crossing was less than you had, but still challenging. Get some sliders on that rig.
I was there in October too, it was amazing and water was low, deer valley this year too can’t wait for camping season. 🍻

Crazy how that 4 door JL with all the gear makes it through the river without much fuss (did it even have lockers?) And the 2 tj's almost make it. Show's how much the engineering has come. I wonder if water gets in the JL tho.
Yeah first two Jeeps were locked, both tjs were not. The longer wheel base was definitely conquering this obstacle at this point. Unfortunately those steps on my tj were what was keeping me from the last climb over. Those were taken off 🤣👍🏼🍻
that little step is shit, it gets u stuck, doesnt protect anything. And man, to think u can basically buy a stock jeep, put 35's on and ur little shit kid and play his ipad in the back and be non the wiser, as his daddy calmy, with lockers on, gets through obstacles. Honetly, I wonder why some people bring young kids offroading, seems like a bad idea.@@ATEMOFFROAD
@@rmat9023 my kids love it we stop a lot explore, swim and he helps dad out with the recovering and camp set up. There work to be done around this rig and camp. But it get what your saying 🍻
yeah but ur kids arent like 3 or 4. I have seen so many videos with a 3 year old in a booster seat being tossed around in very old, shitty jeeps, and if something where to break down, or the kid needs to get out of the jeep, I can already hear the crying. I guess offroading doesnt always call to the most sensible or logical people sometimes. @@ATEMOFFROAD
A neat trick you can do if you bend the tie rod (the stock tie rod) is if you have a Hi-Lift Jack you can use the handle as a sleeve over the tie rod and get back home. We did that for my friends TJ when he bent his bouncing too much up a hill climb in NC. kzhead.info/sun/qMqrdrOCeJVvd4E/bejne.html (Note the video was after he already bent it and we were at smaller obstacles when he re-bent it in the video.) When that happened to him I immediately ordered the heavy duty steering kit from Currie! LOL.

how do the vision beadlocks hold up locking at a set for my tj and what is your offset and backspacing I run 35x12.5 15s
