LUNA is not a pitbull!! She is a staffy and a service animal! My dogs do not require a leash when in their own property also there is no where to tie them in our backyard. Not all pits are aggressive.

Also ALL the neighbors know Luna and she has been to functions with them and in their house, cook outs and yes when she does run out the gate she has NEVER attacked, even the neighbors kids and elderly can tell you that. All the kids have seen, played and been with Luna since Luna became our dog. She has no aggression in her blood nor bones. You have no idea who my dog is, don’t ever talk about her like that.

For those whose diapers are all soiled up about the shooting, go read the city laws on Dogs and how and where to keep them in your backyard and house. The owner was totally ignorant of these laws and the cop did what he had to do.

Well! My dogs were in the gate and do not require a leash also there is no where to tie them in our yard. Luna is a service animal and went out to pee, but when she does get out she heads STRAIGHT to the neighbors yard to play with their dog. It is not my dogs fault, this should’ve been handled appropriately however, thank you for sharing!

The owner has admitted one of them IS a pit bull. She calls it a "staffy" which is a pit bull. I knew the minute I heard its name was Luna that it was a pit bull.

I’m the owner of the dogs. I’m 16, go to Highschool, and I owned 4 dogs and 2 cats. It’s sad that whenever you hear about a dog’s pregnancy it’s automatically assumed as breeding, that was Wednesdays FIRST time expecting puppies, and we were going to get her spayed but had to wait because of the vet line then she got pregnant. I’m not a loser, lol…my dog, Luna the staffy is a great and wonderful dog who had never bit or attacked anyone before. I didn’t flee the scene, I was in the backyard…. But yes, it’s the cops fault, thank you for that.

No one is required to wait until a dog is "near" them to protect themselves. You have to take action BEFORE they get near you.
