  • You can weld large gaps by using les heat and welding in a u shape. Also "Tip 2" could be done continuously and also using a "U" shape going from one side to the other with a pause at the top of each side of the U. Amps need to be set correctly. Weld is stronger without the stop start welding.

  • Greetings, thank you for your training and good solutions. In this case, the welding seam between 2 workpieces is too open, your first solution is correct, and this defect should be fixed by edging, because in the industry, In such cases, the welder is not allowed to use rebar or wire, etc., even if the welder has a lot of skill, and because after welding, all kinds of defects will appear in our weld, or the wire or belt may have a metal that is not the same as the piece. Work and electrode

  • First, I've been a welder for 30+ years and this gets me riled up., Step one, work on your fabrication skills. Step two, learn how to weld. Not a single weld on this video has any structural integrity. You can't just throw down a series of tacs and expect the "weld" to hold. Nowhere near enough heat to properly penetrate the base metal. This is just a click bait video. Now, let's hear the keyboard welders knock my assessment.

    @Mudracer41@Mudracer41 Жыл бұрын
    • I agree. Watching the stick welding using a tig welding technique and seeing all the bubbling porosity in that weld was wrong. Don’t use this technique!

    • @@coffeemaninsanity8596 Really? This is ok? I'm afraid it's not ok. What if some bonehead, like for instance, you, watches this and copies what this guy did on, say, a trailer or hitch assembly or anything at all that has any kind of force applied to it? Shit flies apart at 65 mph and people get hurt or killed. Grow up? Son, I'm way grown and retiring in 13 months. I want to make it to enjoy my retirement, not be killed because some moron got a bunch of clicks on his youtube video and another moron followed his moronic advice.

    • Judging by the uniform gap all the way across, and depending on the actual use for that box section, I'd have cut a piece of 5mm thick plate and slid it straight in giving it a lot more structure, reducing the chance of slag inclusion/ porosity in those welds, but then that's all down to skill level and what the work piece is being used for. But also fully agree with your method

      @sbr1160@sbr1160 Жыл бұрын
    • It's a solid technique if your unable /do not have the skills etc or materials in hand to dial down to material thickness. That tube looks relatively thin in contrast to the rod. Same thing as doubling rods in TIG or going higher feedrate/lower voltage for mig. Or a spot timer fill. An ingenuitive mind makes it work, and it looks solid

      @davidwilliams4250@davidwilliams4250 Жыл бұрын
