@@Around_blax_dont_relax Well I guess Top Gear didnt had to pay, they just gave the cars back to the manufacturers and said whoopsi... Richard Porter, the Script Editor of Top Gear, wrote in his book that they called porsche later to get the car back for an other story, but Porsche said to them that some idiot got salt into the engine and therefore the car is unfortunaly not available. Jaguar on the other hand was very pleased by the nice pictures of the car Top Gear got out of this shoot, but had to scrap the car later too.

This was prime Top Gear. Not forced humour (like the ones after 2010). Brilliant reviews and humour that naturally comes along with it. Cheap car challenges were so entertaining as well, or testing cars in off road terrain like in this and with the roadsters and muscle cars.

Agree, if I was ever going to watch an episode of top gear I would just pick one from seasons 2-7 as those were the best seasons blending actual car reviews, challenges and natural humour
@@jonathanward7320 I totally agree with you. Thanks for the reply too, I didn't know this comment had so many likes. When I came back from primary school I watched season 2-6 every day. Loved the challenge where they had the Starion, XJS and 635 CSI. That's my favourite episode of all time. This one is really good too.

Nope it looks like it came from the 90's lol. The Nissan 350z came out at a similar time and looks modern now.

@@ovs4744 I wouldnt say it looked horrible. The Jag obviously looks better and will age better. But the 350Z is also a great design that will age well too.

Malik Martin It was privately owned, TATA steel were considering mothballing the plant due to the falling price of British Steel. In the end I believe some buyer was found, along with government aid, I don't remember the details exactly.
Of course they do. For Spanish customers in the EU who have no intention of paying.

Gotta love that Jag... the XKR is one of the best looking cars I've ever seen. But thats just my personal preference.

I adore the XKR, want to daily drive the BMW and take the 911 for a weekend trip- that last one is lovely except for its slightly controversial headlights

Pretty sure the XKR here wasn't looks slightly different Green. And The XKR in that was a Convertible this was a Coupe. And I think the XKR in Die another Day was a 4.0 Litre V8

Pendine Sands is where I drove a car for the first time. A 1985 2.0 Mercedes Benz 190E, my dad's car. One of my best memories as a kid.
For me, the BMW is too ordinary for my taste. If I was choosing, it would either be the Porsche or the Jaguar. Maybe the Jag because of that V8.

I think the bmw has aged the best.
I'd say it is second only to the second generation of the Jaguar XK but then again that car was released more towards the late 2000's.

I'm looking at a 650i one. there's actually no M's here for sale. I anyway prefer the v8 over the v10 because it sounds richer and deeper and doesn't have leaking problems as much as as the v10. But are there more issues with the M version? Thanks for looking out btw.
@@qmarq M version has a slow transmission made of glass and paper and the engine spins its crank bearings routinely among other things. Amazing sound but defective in many ways

As much as I usually agree with Slow, this BMW is seriously ugly. I know looks are supposed to be a personal issue... But I've never met a person who would like this or the similarly styled Z4, and to me personally it looks as if the main theme here was inbreeding.
Maybe if it was burgundy with proper rims it would look better. Still BMW's have been overrated for over a decade now.
I i liked the jag but bmw for me is just a car for Rich people and is pretty ugly ;p

Are you talking about the bmw? I have a 645i and laugh how they try to make it out to be a gentleman's car, it's fun to drive and scares the heck out of me every time i floor it. Very sporty feel

"the xk8 is very very cramped" I am honestly SHOCKED that Clarkson can even drive it, I'm 6'3 and am not at all comfortable in one. The seats are stupidly high in the car, they don't go back anywhere near far enough, and the only way to fit is to recline the seat to an uncomfortable level and then reach as far forward as possible. In 2019 of course the controls to move the steering wheel don't work properly so this is a hassle every time you get in and out. The seats don't hold you at all, so you just slide about, the steering is completely lifeless, the brakes aren't particularly good, it doesn't make a great noise. The foot box is tiny, my size 12 feet don't fit properly. Great headlights though. Really spot on, they did a good job with those.
