In the late summer of 2022, I lived off the grid for 9 weeks exploring and fly fishing some of the west's most remote streams. I recorded every day and started sharing my 9-week truck bed camping road trip after I returned home in mid-October. In part 22, It's day 3 on the stream and I'm hiking down stream into a remote section that I have never seen or fished. After 3 days I can say it was one of the most amazing streams I have ever seen!
I started my 9 week road trip on July 31, 2022, and spent roughly 3 weeks in WY, ID and MT. Check out all the videos from this trip in the playlist linked below:

Me and the Bears would like to see A Fish in the pan ,little salt and pepper would be great. Licking our lips waiting here.... Great video, Thanks
That's what it's about. Getting out there by yourself. Best times. Rare these days. I've been fishing in areas like this, had an osprey swoop down near me to get some too, one time.
You are getting me through the winter with these series. Love them. Thanks you! I hope you keep these going every year!
These small streams I fish all the time with ultra light spin tackle too...I float grubs, flies and toss mini spinners with great success.
The last hole you fished with the 22 dry I just fished this last summer and did really well. Size 20 bionic ant and it was non stop action. Skating it would really get the cutties going. And not to mention after I was fished out I would take a swim in that gorgeous deep pool. Camped right next to it and only saw 1 other angler over 3 days.
What a session! It'd be difficult to stop at the end of the day
Really appreciate what you do. This has been the best videos to date
It´s hard to imagine a better fishing day than the one appearing in this stunning video. A bliss of a scenario, the clarity of the water and…those big sized cutthroats! My goodness…
After watching all your videos for the last 3 years, Idaho looks like the best cutthroat trout state.
Titled a video exactly like this a few parts back but don't think anyone believes me lol!
@@LooknFishy No doubt in my mind!
Nope, Idaho sucks, tell your friends.
Come to Alaska
I wonder how far this is from Bonner's ferry or couerdlayne. I'm a Montanan but am always looking for isolated hot spots
Agree with all these comments - just beautiful, man. Those cuttys were SLABS, and the quiet of that place so peaceful. Perfect end to a crazy day at work…thanks for the video, Drew.
I retired in one of the big western states with low population, and the fishing is what I always dreamed of...Fish all the time and see more bears than people where I go. Thanks for your videos to get me fired up!
Man, some of those trout had some shoulders on them.
Beautiful stream.
Thanks for sharing such a beautiful place!
We are proud of our cutts here in Idaho Keep it on the shhhh

That was an awesome day Drew
Probably, the most beautifulest trout stream I've ever seen.😎
Great spot I'll bet it was hard to leave!
The fish near the 1030 section was getting chased down hard by another really nice fish. Love the videos as always
Beautiful creek!🙏👍🙏👍🙏👍
Truth!
I was thinking that was my favorite video of the trip, but I think that every time a new one drops. Stellar!
Gonna be hard to top this trip!
Stunning location and fishery! You are the best at finding the gems
Fortunate to have an understanding family that don't mind letting me explore a couple months/year!
That pretty sound of the reel when catching fish 😇 Again all on the nymph.
Nope...lots of dry fly takes near the end!
@@LooknFishy Yep, the last one.
@@LooknFishy Ah, ok, I saw just one (the last catch).
Damn, that one cutthroat was BIG! Beautiful water in a beautiful setting. That pool at 11:00 mins was amazing! You really git er done Drew.
Aamazing
Much appreciated!
I hope you know how lucky you are to be able to do what your doing! Great videos, unbelievable locations, keep it up!
life is a choice and tradeoffs???????
Some real hogs in there!!! Amazing colors too!
I'll keep sayin this... I'd love to see drone images from the countrysites you've visited. Love from Argentina and congrats for your work.
Nice!!!
Thx!
Dude, you have found the purpose of life, to be happy. I'm green jelly watching these AND I live in North Idaho (and fish all year, but not where I don't see other people).
Having a good time for sure!
I am happy,nice vidio,beautifull fishing,super mister! Splendid creek,clear water. Monster trout!
Many thx man!
Wow that’s one of the most beautiful streams I have ever seen. I’m in England and it’s closed season at the moment, I’m really looking forward to getting back on the chalk stream! 😁
I hear ya!
It Truly is Trout Paradise Drew! The Rock formations and scenery are amazing!! Thanks for taking us along, I was wondering if it gets Creepy at night inn the truck? Ever hear wildlife just outside? Anyway, stay safe!
What type of strike indicator do you most prefer? Love all your videos. Thanks drew.
Geez!
Wow Drew, some pigs for sure! Beautiful scenery only matched by the beautiful fish you were able to bring to net. If I may ask, what is your preferred dry fly for a dry dropper rig? I know that may not be an easy question to answer, but just wondering if you have a go-to preferred dry you use as a starting point. Thanks!
That place is beautiful! How do you keep finding these gems?
Hi Drew, been following and sub for a while now, your style of fishing videos are my favorite. Thanks for sharing. I am curious what your usual leader setup is for indicator rig / dry fly (brand, length, etc) What is your preferred method to attach leader to fly line? I am looking to purchase a tfo blue ribbon as well (4wt 10’) and would love to hear what you think about your rod. Appreciate your feedback. Cheers 🎉
Two questions, do you think these fish have ever seen a fisherman, do you carry a SAT Phone when you're so deep in the backcountry? love the vids, keep up the good work, thanks for sharing.
Awesome! How far north into Idaho did you end up going if you don't mind...?
did I see you are using a split shot? the dry flight is big enough to hold up the nymph and split shot? Is there a reason why you wouldn't just use a weighted nymph yo avoid using the split shot? New angler here. thanks
Any other type of fish besides Cut's in those streams?
Wow, your blessed with so much beautiful water! Is this river stocked with cutthroats?
I dont believe anything is stocked in that drainage. I've never seen a cutthroat hatchery anywhere in Idaho.
@@tedbiladeau9330 thanks sir. In Europe because of the cormorants stocking is necessary. And these birds are protected although originally from Japan...
Nah, these are all wild and native!
@@LooknFishy unbelievable. In Europe because of the cormorants stocking is necessary. And these birds are protected although originally from Japan...
How many bears and moose this year?
Where is this stream?
Where is this 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Great video. Is Idaho the best cutthroat fishery in the US?
I know how I feel about it...but others probably disagree!
What is the maximum size of trout
I got spring fever way too early this year and videos like this aren't helping. I really enjoyed it, however.
These videos are incredible! Do you post the location anywhere? Would be epic to visit this creek
It would have been hard to leave that stream
It definitely was but I'll be back!
What's your go to perdigon?
I only use 2. Made this video after the 2021 trip and still the only flies I use...kzhead.info/sun/bN2gfZSxZ2anpas/bejne.html

Well, not a paradise for the trouts...
Hey Drew, I've watched almost all of your videos but I often watch on my TV. Your contents the best! So get ready cuz I'm about to drop a bunch of comments on a bunch of videos to hopefully help your channel rank. Deserves a million subs! Tight lines my friend, Steve @blackflycreations
Truly appreciated...hard to express how much audience interaction/engagement helps a channel or video grow.
