  • Yes. The M95 is a wonderful knife. No springtime in Sweden either. Winter jacket last week, shorts this week. Swallows are here, but not the swifts yet. Use to be here around the 18th of may.

  • Like you, I am a knife enthusiast, and particularly enjoy Finnish knives. I bought my first Marttiini Lynx in 1966. Perhaps I don't actually need 15 variations of the Peltonen, but that is what I have, from the original full flat grind, to the current uncoated version. I have the saw tip, and various colours, sheaths with or without badges etc. The one I find myself using more than any other is the M07 uncoated, with plastic sheath. I have been a paratrooper in the Army Reserve, and, were I still serving (unfortunately they don't take 70 year olds!) this is the knife I would have on my webbing.

    • Oh WOW! You have an impressive collection! Kudos! And Martiini Lynx from the 60s, nice👍. Its a great puukko. I have to get the M07 also. Looks it could be a high use knife for me. Thanx for sharing, cheers!

    • @@OldForestBushcraft Last week I bought 2 Puukko knives, both by "Arctic Legend". The smaller one has a 10 CM blade, the other 14.5 CM. Both are stainless steel. The handles are of curly birch, and are particularly comfortable. Looking forward to using them in the field.

  • I love my Peltonens. I agree that there is nothing to criticise those knives about. I hesitate to use the word, "perfect", but they are about as clost to an ideal bush knife as a guy could want. I have all three sizes, and they are all amazing, but the M95 is likely one of the best all around knives I've ever owned. I'm a HUGE fan! 😊

    • My thoughts exactly. I just find can’t find anything to critizise. Like I’ve said also before, this knife just gets better and better after one uses it. A knife that just screams to get outdoors and to work. Thanx for watching my friend, have a wonderful day!

  • Just used the M07 version today, while spending time with the family on a laavu nearby in honor of Mothers day. Made makkaratikkus, feather sticks and all the other small tasks with it. A great knife! Wish they started doing these in some mid-range stainless steel like 14c28c or N690 tho... Would be a nice option IMO. Nice video as always!

    • Oh yeah, 14c28c and N690c would be a smashing options. The M07 with those steels would make a fantastic option for fishing trips. Would buy insantly. Thanx for watching my friend!🌲🌟🌲

  • What a performer! That is a very sweet and very capable knife, Peltonen is knocking it out of the park! I do not have a Peltonen yet in my collection though I do have a Terävä Jääkäripuukko 140 which is very close, can't wait to try the M95. Have you ever done a comparison of the two? That would be a tough comparison being both have their roots in the Puukko! Great review! 👍👍

    • I really should do a proper, and thorough testing and comparison of the two. Very similar blades indeed. Have to do it now😀. Actually havent used the Terävä 140 in a long time. It’s a fantastic knife also! Thanx for watching my friend, have a great sunday!🌲🔪🌲

  • Good to see you out and about. I have the uncoated version of this knife and, although I haven't had the chance to use it much, it seems to be a sturdy and capable knife. And the sheath is outstanding.

Immernoch sehr sehr praktisch. Danke fürs Zuschauen mein Freund Hab einen angenehmen Tag!🌲☀️🌲

  • how did you remove the teflon coating? would sandpaper be enough or dremel. Or do you need an angle grinder.

    • I think the teflon coating is ok, and probably more practical with steel being 80crv2. I just like the way it looks like this. There’s also an uncoarted version of the knife nowadays.

    • @@Jujujk1998 it was starting somewhat to worn off, so I thought whta the heck, I remove the coating. I dont mind the patina, as I’ve used carbon steel puukkos all my life, I actually like it. But I understand there are other preferences of course.
