  • Sooo much of this is cheating BS! The honest competitors often lose because they stand there like men and stay steady as they get slapped. Then you have the "winner" like this guy in white who CLEARLY flinched and moved away, which takes a ton of steam out of the opponents slap impact. I've seen this so many times in these slap fights. They need better Ref's and overhead cams for instant replay.

  • The taller guy threw almost a right cross, moving his arm forward and across, striking the other guy on the hinge of his jaw with the heel of his hand, the only difference between a slap and a punch in this case was that his fingers weren't clenched, a "slap" hits on the side of the face and follows through across, the guys arm was extending forwards more than across and didn't even follow through.

    • That's why I don't really watch punchdown anymore. It's not slap fighting, it's usually just palm strikes to the jaw. I'm surprised they don't just swinging full on punches, seems like they would allow it.

  • mad max was suppose to have a 30sec recover after the slap...he got 1min 10sec..if that's a knockout clock should be 30, not double...and also, he also,flinched bad when he got slapped 1:42 ( put it at .25 speed)..should have been a penalty to be honest. But regardless, Mad Max hit the other dude with the force of the Northern Winds

  • I really hate that this “sport” is being legitimized by people like Arnold and Logan being associated with it. This is not a combat sport. This is stupid. This is nothing but trouble down the road for the contestants. At least in an MMA fight - hell, even a bare knuckle fight - you at least have the option of defending yourself. This is just…there’s no skill to it. And there are also simply too many variables that can’t be controlled. I just can’t see how this could become a mainstream event.

    • those with longer reach over that table have more chance of putting more into their slaps and also as seen by Mad Max cheating can flinch and get away with it. The table top should be adjustable so fighter reach can make full contact of palm at full stretch where this way longer reach can to deeper and use more leg and whole body leverage.

  • i wonder if a jet-flighter vaso-compression suit would assist them in ko prevention... idk though, you might not want higher bp when getting slapped. It might cause some kind of aneurysm. also, some of these slaps look MUCH more effective than others... i guess it's all about creating that snap back of the head (ie: positioning the hand where the palm is out front and clips things just right).
