    • @@Sage-qd6tf sorry to disappoint but story is rather bland. In my younger military days I was a what is called Honor Guard. And we did drill with rifles with bayonets attached for ceremonies. Most of bayonets are ceremonial shiny and not sharp, but we had few that were legit war ones. I attempted a triple spin and missed the catch, bayonet went through my snuff box.

    • Well to be fair when you get injured your body goes into shock and numbs the pain. When you get hit with pepper spray your body has no such reaction so you feel it the whole time. I'm sure a lot of the times he got injured his body went into shock and numbed the pain to some extent.

  • My mom broke her ankle about 5 months ago. She was completely miserable for the first 3 months since she was completely unable to move and she is an active person by nature, then spent about a month and a half in crutches, it wasn't until very recently that she started walking normally albeit slowly and carefully. I say this because these guys had to endure this, multiple times a year, for about 20 years. It's not only the physical resistance, but also they must have an insane amount of mental fortitude to not completely fall psychologically. The recent experiences with my mom makes me appreciate these guys even more.
