  • This is one of my favourite behind the scenes events ever. Imagine being inside that sub when not one but FOUR TWENTY FOOT LONG, SIX TO EIGHT FEET WIDE Sharks are in a feeding frenzy (all be it a slow one) just outside your window!! Then they BANG on the glass😱 750km from the surface! Here’s a trick I like to use when watching any nature show for myself and now my kids. Take a tape measure, always have one handy - or know the dimensions of your rooms and actually walk out 20’. It puts things into perspective when you start to feel flippant about the guys in shark cages or wrangling crocodiles! It’s especially awesome when you go outside and mark out just how big a Blue Whale is. Seeing the ACTUAL dimensions as opposed to just hearing numbers or pictures of little men or buses next to an animal in a diagram.

  • I love this clip it was nice to see more of the sub in this one though! For all those people talking about ‘sound effects’ I don’t think you understand the danger and concept of being 2300 feet underwater in a steel can when a half dozen Sharks the same length as your sub start banging into it!! If the glass cracks, just a little, the whole sub would depressurize and they would die.
