Garden Tour - April 2024
Join me for a tour around my garden in April. We've had lots of rain here and it's been pretty mild, so things have really come on in the last few weeks.
There's beautiful spring blossom from the crab apple tree and lots of self-sown "volunteer" plants to share with you.
As mentioned, this year I'm planning to upload tour videos more regularly, hopefully on a monthly or bi-monthly basis so that I can see how the garden develops over the seasons - do check out the previous videos so you can see the difference!
Garden info -
The garden is on a south facing chalk slope in the South of England. There are two main tiers - the top is largely wildflowers, with a pond and some herbaceous borders. The lower tier is kind of "prairie style" though a fairly loose interpretation! And finally at the very bottom is the wild area.

Thank you! 💚
Beautiful garden, really enjoyed the tour round, sadly all my tulips got eaten by squirrels last year but they seem to have done better this time 😃looking forward to your May tour 😊
Thank you! And glad you’ve got tulips this year! My Queen of Night tulips went AWOL this year, I’m suspicious of the squirrels, but also wonder if I just had a bad batch 🤷♀️
You’re garden is very inspiring 💗
Thank you 🙂
Stunning garden. Euphorbia Miners Merlot is a fantastic plant... I can't get enough of them!
Thank you! I’m a fairly recent convert to Euphorbia’s actually, but I’m very quickly becoming a big fan!

Love your garden I also leave my epimedium leaves on.
I'm loving your beautifilled garden - it's exactly my vibe. I've been gardening for 47 years so I've started all 6 of my past gardens completely from scratch but I'm still being surprised by your lovely plant combinations and you are a natural vlogger so I have subscribed and very much looking forward to your May update. Thank you so, so much ❤😊
Thank you, that’s very kind! I love plants on their own, but I do think something special happens when they work together! 💚

Hello! My first visit from the States... I guess squirrels no matter where they are in the world basically act the same. I keep telling the squirrels in my neighborhood it's ok to dig holes in my mulch if you guys would kindly fill them back up when you're done. They pay no attention to what I have to say..........
Haha! Kind of nice to hear I’m not alone in my squirrel struggles! They don’t listen to me either 🤷♀️
