Seen the rise and fall of Nguyen, when he was submitted by marat via rnc and work his way up to be one of the most dominant in the featherweight division, even go to the extra mile when he move to challenge then the lightweight king Folayang where he knocked him out cold but instead of celebrating he then went right away to check if Folayang’s okay and went back to say sorry after he dethroned the champ, seen him again trying to go the extra mile when he faced Belingon for the interim Bantamweight strap in hope for becoming the first ever 3-Division Champion. He is a great man with such talent. I have to admit im a fan, he’s one of my favorite one athlete and seing this happens to him breaks my heart, and maybe yours. But it is what it is, looking forward for his comeback. 🙁❤️🇵🇭

In the third round, while Martin Nguyen seemed to be struggled with his speed and precision, Thanh Le still looked comfortable and sharp as if he has not used all of his gears.

However, I have watched Thanh Le in all his fights and realized he is very quick while Martin Nguyen is relying on his power. They bought in to the power of their boy’s overhand at the expense of everything else; against a butterfly like Le, with evasive footwork and bladed stances, gunning for that one shot is exactly what you **SHOULDN’T** do. They should’ve been economical and patient; Le’s stance’s main advantage is also its main disadvantage, therefore Martin and his corner should’ve focused on **LEG KICKS and BODY STRIKES.** Martin was actually doing good controlling the center stage in the first few rounds but he absolutely did nothing with it, just let Le float along like a bee, stinging him with impunity, slipping and dodging his return-shots. And the way Le circled around should’ve been capitalized on by Martin; he’s actually going to the direction of his leg kicks! Smh Remember, future MMA kids, in an environment like this, raw strength and talent will only get you so far. You need to have a good gym with great strategists and tacticians, alongside good communication with each other. The willingness to learn and to divorce yourself from your successes, to take a step back and renew your tactics, is also something you should have. Over-reliance on one weapon alone invites disaster. You’ll get figured out.

Against such a dangerous fighter like Thanh Le, Martin wasted all his energy on pursuing and attacking without scoring any serious hit while receiving quite a beating. As a result, Martin was too exhausted to defend against the counter-attack from Thanh Le. This was a classic boxing lesson from Thanh Le in the same vein as Rope a Dope Ali vs Foreman. In the end, look at Thanh Le's face, there was hardly any damage from all that fighting, which is incredible considering this was a stand-up and punch-out fighting match.😏😌😊
