I beleave there is most likely multiple differend species with differend interest levels on us that can do interstellar travel. If that is the case you kinda have to think that those species who are there and are in close contact have made certain type of rules and alliances. They have to have somekinda agreed upon systems in place so it's not unneccesary hostility when they come in contact with other way older species. Especially the oldest ones who would have the upperhand to reprimand would most likely have the overpowered tech and be evolutionary became smart enough to see that violence usually makes problems. I still wouldn't trust every species to be just altruistic and not take benefit from us if they can and especially need or if being conquering ones is just inherently very deep in their nature.

  • Spielberg knows things we don't know due to contacts he's had with the government. Think about just how many alien projects he has worked on, including the tv series Taken (one of the best shows ever and a really interesting concept, plus some of the show was based on actual events that happened at actual crash sites according to witnesses within the government).
