Where is everyone watching from? Would you ride through the Canal in a 13 ft Skiff? 😳
Brick, NJ and traverse the canal all the time. seem some crazy sh*t. And would only go through the canal in a 13’ skiff during slack tide.
Highgate Vermont
Germany :)
Toms River, NJ haven’t taken my boat through yet
Northern Michigan, you would get a ticket in our no wake zones, the Sheriff enforces the law, making a wake is just to darn dangerous in a narrow area!
I admire the way they call it a “NO WAKE ZONE”, and Mother Nature is creating 98% of the waves. 😂
You must live on the water.
Poor design is causing the waves... the seawall they made with steel pilings is causing the waves to refract back out into the water and amplifying it. If they had originally designed the canal with either a natural shore or used rock piles as the sea break, the irregularities would absorb the waves. When the canal was built 100 years ago they probably didn't intend on a constant motorcade of weekend boaters out there. Was likely built with the very occasional small fishing vessels and barges in mind...nothing else.
@@cup_and_cone it's not just that it also could be the river bed making the waves from way the waves is staying in place..
haha, so true.
I agree BUT if most of these boats would run through at a slower speed, fast enough to keep control but not leaving a large wake behind you, then you don't create the INITIAL WAVES that only get larger with every boat that goes by, while throwing off waves. Those waves are started by boats kicking up a wake from being at half plane. With the jetties being like a wall, the waves bounce back and forth, and with the extra inertia of every boat, those waves can grow and grow, ending up with a mess of dangerous outcomes possible. Yes, Mother Nature has a great hand in the wave making progress BUT it is actually the boaters that create the problem in the first place. Slow down and enjoy your boat instead of trying to kill it!!!😒😳🙏🙏🙏
People with the baby were just friggin nuts!
Kudos to the two guys in the 40 hp super sport, riding the waves like a surfboard. Very smooth
It’s more the boat than the 👨✈️ Captain.
all about throttle control,
@@PhilBender612 throttle and a virtually unsinkable boat there mate. It’s literally bobbing above the fray.
Cool name dude !!!
Honestly, in that kind of wake that little Carolina Skiff at the beginning did a damn fine job! Heck of a captain there.
Nice to see all the kids had life vest on👍
I want a Boston Whaler
Man owning a boat seems like such a relaxing hobby.
It is but not there apparently
Not in this shithole! Fuck this place move away if you boat n live there or somethin like hell no
Getting banged around is NOT fun.
It's all fun and games until you hit that first major wave and then you may want to rethink your life on the water
St. Jude must have been looking out for the chick on the St. Jude because she was up about 15 feet and didn't even spill her drink 😂
Incredible, how they all remained seated at 1:28 Even after catching some air; impressive. Great job 😎 *WITH the drinks in their hand’s, throughout the entire jump haha.
My daily driver as a kid on Long Island Sound in the 70’s was a 13 ft Boston whaler with a Johnson 35. My parents were sold/placated by the ads showing you couldn’t sink a whaler……though we certainly tried😎 Greetings now from Dana Point, CA!
amen,......preach brother. Those channels and canals are nothing for a 13 Whaler.......Look at 03:15, like a BOSS!!
Dana Point bad-ass place
I loved watching the original Flipper tv series just for the kid’s Boston Whaler skiff.
To be honest I'm quite indifferent to boating a little bit terrified of the ocean and I watch your channel every day I don't know why but it's relaxing and just calming for me🤔 so thank you therapist wavy👏🏻🕉😉
Btw I am currently in a very very smoky Reno Nevada. .... but if the world keeps going the way some say I will see you all on the shores of Arizona Bay🤘🏻🖤🕉🙏
This was satisfying to watch. Love it!!
Im loving these NJ videos!
jay the florida pool pump motor repair guy when service calls Longwood approved ! that was good info 2 see 👨🔧Wavy Boats
Mystery boat 2 is a Wellcraft Sportsman 250. Same as I has with 225 Evinrude looper. Great boat. Ran out of Cape May. Fished the “rips” to 30 fathom lump to the Old Grounds off OC/Delaware. Smart captains catch a lot of fish.
I grew up in that area. That canal was always dangerous! We never dealt with it, docked our boat in Glimmerglass creek in Manasquan and went right out to Manasquan river, then Manasquan inlet out to the ocean! 60's & 70's, a great time to be at the Jersey shore!!!
Exactly! Y even deal with that?
Nashville TN and in my state, no one can sit in the front while a boat is moving. Your videos are perfect examples of why that law is in effect and why it's posted on the front seats of many boats.
Not a good spot for bow riding , anyway !!
Right, Tennessee River at Pickwick the TWRA patrols the wake zone area. Smooth in and out.
Thx for ur work. Kind Regards from Germany
"Holding a baby on the bow in the canal." Charles Darwin is chuckling right now.
I thinks it’s absolutely CRAZY! just how many ppl have no understanding on how to pilot their boat through waves like that. You can see some of the old timers and ppl with common sense that go right through and could probably do it without spilling a drop of their beer. Lol. But it’s because they understand how to ride the wave and/or use their trim rather than blasting right through it. Cool video though..👍🏻
Nice! Rough waters
You'd think that boaters living in the area would know better than to sit in the bow during this transit...
I can’t for the life of me understand that bow design. Put seats up front therefor more weigh up front and they decide to angle the prow down? Makes zero sense.
Alot, and I mean a lot of the boaters you see here are from north Jersey or New york, come down here and are not as familiar with it, or they are and just don't know enough to care. I from Brick NJ and been through a hundred times, the locals know. lol
Man.......there a lots and lots of blind hogs out there!!
3:23 - that was a struggle. No way I would take my boat out in that.
Love the whalers
The guy in the little Boston Whaler knew what he was doing
That 40hp was the little engine that could lol😂
"If not for the courage of the fearless crew........."
Thanks a whole hell of a lot, now that theme song is stuck . . .
That's a crazy little spot!! The water is pumping through there like crazy!! Must have a bunch of accidents there
Great vid ...thanks
Crazy captain
More whaler girls! ❤ didn’t know it was a thing outside of blue top
3:15 that Merc 40 is SCREAMING
Baptised at the canal 😂 hilarious. Hopefully a safer baptism would be in that babies future. Lol
Captain.. " All are welcome, All are welcome, Come into the light Carolyn, come into the light, All are welcome all are welcome."
Beverly hillbillies: whooo doggy it's the grunion run!
That guys nuts being in that little boat In that inlet with the strong current
hey Wavy Boats . LOVE your videos . Just subscribed . Best . Mark (Toronto) 👍💙
That Boston whaler 👍 sea boat proven captain skills
Them Boston Whalers are great
Wavy is a celebrity in Florida. 😁
Greetings from the Philippines
Essa entrada da barra e louca, quando menos velocidade menos o impacto, sabendo aproveitar bem a corrente passa de boa
Either boston whaler captains are the kings or them boats just take the waves unlike any other boat out there!!
When you see the passengers gripping a railing and braced for impact, the captain probably gave a pre- boat ride warning and all will be well.
I've been boating for a while now. I currently own a Sea Ray SLX 260 w/ Mercruiser 6.2L. That is a little too rough for me. Or maybe since I'm 63, I've become more cautious in my old age! Lmbo
Lekker man lekker
Most of the boats pictured here are only designed for smooth water lakes or river. Be careful when buying!
And yours.....is an idiotic statement.....as most of the boats were NOT lake boats!! Many of them were offshore boats!!
@@larryslemp9698 idiotic answer without any meaning!
Thank God it's a no wake zone !!!
“No Wake Zone” But yet every boat had a wake!
At times, you have to go fast enough to maintain steerage. A lot of the wake is from the current being so fast and strong through a relatively narrow waterway.
I don't know nothing about boats whatsoever but those little boat called whaler are incredible for small boats,
I used to transit the Point Pleasant Canal several times a week. Always headed out for inshore or offshore in my 35 Bertram. My only problem were the little boats out for a joy ride. I always did 5 or 6 kts when against the current. No boats or police well then anything goes.
Seems like the 13' and 15' Boston whalers and Carolina skiffs do well or if not better than some of the bigger boats.
Cause those guys have more brains than money instead of the other way around
Crazy surf that.
And I thought the Garden State Parkway was crowded.😊
Let me tell you something about that guy !! . He is a captain
Sangat keren boat sampai melompat tinggi
That is some serious chop in that canal..🥺
At 4:09, the captain and the party on that boat should have their heads examined taking a BABY out in that water. The authorities need to come down on them HARD.
The 13" Whaler SS trimmed up is beating 95% of the bad operators out there.
That's because there's experienced brains behind the wheel, versus "hey look what I bought with my bonus"
Boston Whaler SS 🤩
Good ship Hollywood steaming past
Boy that looks like a lot of fun. Boing ,boing ,boing, boing ,boing
Mystery boat looks like a 70s mako 17 18 feet ish
You don't see those bostin whaler Nantuckets that often. Cool to see
Right full rudder !!
Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. That Canal was Rippin!!! How about the boat down in the trough. Crazy Stuff Jersey
She did not spill her white claw. Nice!
Bebê batizado no canal 😳👏👏👏👏👏👍🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇧🇷.
The woman on the bow is lucky he kind of stuffed the stern. 01:25
That’s true, but have to give her credit too. She didn’t spill a drop of her drink.😊
That Beneteau crushed it
I miss those Boston Whalers with the blue deck.
Mystery boat #2 is 1980's Wellcraft 250 Sportsman
Mystery Boat #2 reminds me of our old closed cabin Cobia. It was the same ugly yellow but who knows??🤷♀️ Great content!! Btw, I'm from Jacksonville, Florida.🌞🌞🌞
Wellcraft sportsman 250 1980's
Yeah I got to watch out for that bow steer
1:28 She’s sky high and doesn’t even spill a sip of her beer 🍺
What a hellish place for a small boat.
Blind leading the blind....... Surprised some aren't trying to 'ski' through there?!
8:04 was that guy caught with his bird in his hand lmfao
Can someone explain to me why the water is so rough in this canal??
I had the same question. I understand that it's a narrow canel so any wake is going to bounce around for awhile. But if there were no boats, is the water moving so fast that it is creating a white water effect??
That girl in the bow of saint jude handle it like a boss
Boston whalers just handle so well.
👍👍👍
Now that skipper doin it right in da Boston whaler, infact this the first time I seen anyone doin it right, and there's quite a lot of em to.
cool
Mystery boat looked like a triumph boat
Looks like a bit of a free-for-all, with everyone in a big hurry regardless of the conditions on the water and close proximity of other boats. Is the canal naturally as choppy as this, or is this the result of it being churned up by the preceding boats?
No wake zone, huh? NJ, so that figures! 😂🤣😂🤣😈
I'd say there's more action in These point pleasant videos
Mystery boat #2 looked like a Wellcraft Coastal
1:26 nice save
I can't unsee the weirdo screaming, "SLOW DOWN" in this canal. 🤣🤣🤣
Boston whalers are beasts!
I love boating. But this is like city boating.
At least pops was wearing a PFD.
Mystery boat number 2 is an early eighties, 1984 ish, Wellcraft 248 Sportsman.
I thought that little puddle jumper at the start done decent
Somebody was looking out for St Jude that would have been one heck of a SmackDown
That looks like one rough ride though there. Lawd have mercy..
It's gets really nasty as the tide changes either way.
Bolt some cupped abs slosh reducers along the seawalls and reduce the turbulence in half making it "more pleasant"
HER FACE WHEN THEY REALIZE THEY ARE GONNA BE ON WAVY BOATS LOL
