I think this was a Muay Thai fight so they’re allowed to clinch, but Buntan isn’t much of a clincher. She typically avoids the clinch.
Clinching is very dangerous in MT, because knees to the face and body is brutal

JB needs to study Pacquiao style and tactics fighting someone taller. She’s a good fighter but she lacks something that will make her a great fighter. I suggest she go to PI, get a meet and greet with Manny maybe Pacquiao will give her a few points.

2 of my favorite female fighters - but not sure if they are in the same weight class. Buntan will have to drop a weight class or Stamp moves up. Doubt a catchweight could be agreed or negotiated.
Jackie should fight someone her own size. Like Iman Barlow or Sundell again -- although the look on her face when he asked about a rematch with Smilla ... she didn't look enthusiastic about it. Smilla's length is demoralizing for these shorter women, and she comes at her opponents relentlessly with her superior cardio.

I really wanted Buntan to get it because I'm a fan, but to me Michieletto took it by a small margin. It seemed she controlled the floor more than Buntan. But...gooOOO Buntan!
Yes. I agree with you...and I LOVE JACKIE. My baby got some hands. But Michieletto was more diverse in her strikes, cut off Jackie's rallies with well-timed counter strikes, and marched forward continuously. Despite the damage, if at any point one of the two was hurt, it was Jackie. She absolutely got rocked with a combination-- early in the second round, I think. I sometimes wonder if caucasion or European fighters don't get shafted over there. I give Jackie credit though, for taking some risks. She said she wanted to show evolution, and at times I think she got caught in between. Size and reach were definitely a factor. Great fight. Michieletto was classy in defeat, and seemed not to question the decision.

Jackie so good and her strikes are better but I think her defense went down a little bit. Maybe because her opponent has longer reach? The rematch with Smilla will be good.
Smilla is so young, she's just getting stronger, more explosive, the longer Jackie waits. Jackie can crack, so you never know, but I think she would get her face mashed up again, worse than last time -- maybe KOed.
