  • Milli Vanilli in my opinion weren't so much villains as victims. They genuinely did want to sing on their songs and were under the impression they would. However, because they weren't native or fluent in English they were used - against their will - as the pretty faces of other people's voices. They were put in a no win situation of either being frauds or in all sorts of trouble with their label if they did come clean. Milli Vanilli were hardly the first act fronted by people who didn't sing the songs, either. They just became scapegoats because as Grammy winners they were seen as more serious musicians than the likes of Tight Fit or Lipps Inc. When the net result was somebody's life being ended by their own hand I don't think they were the one with a lot to answer for!

    • Some networks and venues actually require it but I think it’s usually a decision by managers and labels rather than the artist. More performances are lip synced than most would guess. But there’s also the element of vocal fatigue and illness. The options are to give a garbage performance or lip sync when 99.9% of the time they go off without a hitch. Then there are singers who have elaborate dance routines. It’s next to impossible to sound one’s best and do the dances. If they’re famous for their dance moves too, they are def lip syncing during their live performances.

      @moustachemoe@moustachemoe Жыл бұрын
    • Because in the olden days live vocal processing was still in its infancy. You would need a Mix engineer just off-stage processing everything in real time. Most live TV performances and concerts would just use the pre-recorded studio version processed vocals. Some performers will actually sing along with the vocal track but many just lip sing. When you see a performer dancing about like crazy and running around the stage waving their arms and hyping up the crowd... THAT'S A VOCAL TRACK you're hearing. You'd naturally be out of breath from doing all of that and your vocal performance would suffer. There is ALWAYS a difference in the Dry (un processed) vocal track and the Wet (processed) vocal rack of any song. This is why the Live version of a favorite song just sounds like crap as compared to the studio version. I'd even go as far to say that many record labels probably mandate the use of vocal tracks during live performances to uphold the studio integrity of the song for continued listener expectations and record sales.

Now this is whole different world. If you never been to a church, you would never understand. Just remember something kids, it isn't just priiests that do pedophilia. Please do NOT assume only Catholic priests do this. There are more professions and jobs that are huge on pedophilia & not just only men either or religion rated at all. I don't care if you are a man woman transgender gay black blue green yellow orange red white polka-dotted, whatever. If you plead guilty or have been proven guilty in a court of law for pedophilia, you deserve to die without any excuses or exceptions. If you decide to not appeal or your 5 year time limit is up once your sentence starts on the day, the hour, the minute, and the second you are put in your cell, you should be sentenced to death immediately. The record company (I think she was on Geffen), producers, and even MTV (I think, maybe another network) tried so hard to force it and create a star from someone who only ever had average vocal talent, if that. A group of people worked to try and make her famous and they had a built-in starter fan base and automatic media coverage because of her older sister's career. She wasn't ever gonna make it. It was Rebecca Black and "Friday" but with even more money and more industry people behind the effort. Poor girl. Quite embarrassing. But I'm pretty sure she's doing alright.

  • Seriously! Janet was screwed in that whole thing. Janet didn't make the costume or expose her own breast. The costume seemed to be poorly made and Justin ripped her brazier. Janet was a totally innocent bystander. She did nothing wrong.

    • Why the hell did she have that nipple ring on if the whole thing wasn't planned?

    • It was choreographed for her bra to be ripped. Janet was not an innocent bystander. Janet had her bustier tailored to be removable that weekend by Marcello Garzon. You can literally see the snaps on her costume, it was choreographed.

  • It's crazy that anybody can condemn another person for standing up for the rights and safety of children. But here we are in a world that bows down to monsters with titles and yet, no morals or human decency.

    • I really don't know why they cancelled Sinéad O'Connor, I mean cuz she ain't wrong about the child abuse done by Catholic priests or any other religions. All of that has been brought to light in recent years. I stand by Sinéad's decision.
