  • This bike is not broken or missing a gyro. When racing rc bikes you don't want or need a gyro. This bike has old dry tires, put new ones on. It also needs a dry track and maybe some space too, for the newbies. That's the biggest issue. Tuning comes later. Steering springs and damper needs to be tuned but as long as the fork moves freely it should go straight with just a little speed. One main thing often overlooked when car people build bikes. WHEN TURNING LEFT, THE FRONT WHEEL SHOULD GO TO THE RIGHT. THE TURN IS INITIATED, THEN LET OFF THE STEERING INPUT AND PUT A LITTLE POWER ON. THIS IS WHEN THE BIKE TURNS.

    • 2000s for me. I've seen videos of trucks wheeling down the road. Lol I'm lucky to shift in to second gear let along have it run for more than two mins. Always something wrong. I guess I'm a brushless kinda guy.

  • So cool Kevin! I have the Thunde Tiger Ducattle nitro RC Motorcycle. Adding sticky weights to the inner part of the rear rim all the way around helps it balance so much better. It gives a gyroscopic effect. Just stick small sticky weights on the outer inner part of the rim. It is so much more fun. Cheers, keep up the bangers!

  • Thunder Tiger had them back around 2005ish. They did a Ducati 999 electric and nitro version. I don’t think we ever sold a nitro one. I also believe Graupner had a nitro version. There are tons of videos of them racing in Europe on the old forums back in the 2000’s. The steering dampener needed fine tuning to get them to turn well.

  • I have seen that ones racing in the nationals Spain. They just awesome and is really pleasant see them hitting the corners when they are well driven. Also the fights for the position are just insane.

  • I’ve moved away from nitro in recent years. Back in the late 90’s early 2000’s that’s all I had was nitro. More into the electric cars now. But this thing is super cool! Never considered getting an RC motorcycle much less a nitro one 🤩 Great video Kevin keep ‘em coming brother!

  • Fabulous video, Kevin. I'm pretty sure that is a Frankenstein bike! Alittle hobby king a smidgen of thunder tiger also. The belt came from electric bikes and originally had a chain. The body is from the same make it work chop shop. The motors never had the heat sink mutilated , wrong motor! This is why you are having trouble installing the glow plug ignitor. They were awkward, and that's why they made a relocation. Definitely has possibilities. Gas tank looks not like a thunder tiger.

    • Fuel tanks Nuova faor as its quicker to refuel than the Thunder tiger ones. This bikes a proper racing bike with oil damped forks, seperate layshaft and swingarm pivot etc, The tyres are way past their best by the looks of it, maybe some additive will bring them back to life? When it was raced it would have used tyre warmers before sending it out. Also you can't get a normal glow plug igniter in there, you can use either an extension or a short glow igniter will fit 👍

  • Use a glowplug OS #8 to start with. That plug saved me everytime.

  • I seem to recall that these things were so hard to "ride" they put gyros on them. Similar to those on RC nitro helicopters. Perhaps it can be put in the riders body, not so good for C of G but could improve driveability.

  • Have any of you seen the rc motor bikes with a weight controlled by the steering server? They took zero skill to drive since the front wheel was free to move by itself depending on the angle of the bike, which was controlled by the counter weight. THEY WERE BRILLIANT. I haven't seen that particular design in decades!

  • I had one of these a few years back, it was tons of fun. Bought it off eBay as well. Was a pain to find compatible replacement parts. Ended up trading it for a jato with a 3.3 on it.

  • you know you can lock your drill chuck by after tightening it to fit give a one twist backwards slightly and it will click and then thats the chuck locked so it wont open in reverse or forwards. To unlock click the other direction

I know my comment might be too late, but you know when you wanted to do game over stickers in different colours for different coloured RC cars, why don't you just have a clear background on the stickers, so that whatever bodyshell colour someone has, their bodyshell colour will come through
