  • Why are the general public so ignorant and seem to ignore the safety signs, regarding the horses. The police do nothing, just standing around, they should keep people well away from the guards and horses and stop treating our military like a theme park.

    • @@ameilabrewster9532 doesn't matter how well any horse is trained, they are a flight animal and they are always afraid. I have been watching these horses for some time and they are in a constant state of anxiety, they are working troopers like the guards and both the guards and horses should not have to put I with the stupidity and ignorance of these visitors to our country, what other country would allow their military to be treated in this way, what other job would allow people to come in and maul their workers? Non that I can think of so why should these animals be put though this day in and day out, horses don't have a melt down for nothing. The terrible Incident that happened a few days ago was proof of the anxiety and nervousness of these animals they were in a blind panic the ones who escaped that is why the two were badly injured they didn't see the obstacles at all. Also herd instinct took over. I agree with Phillip Mills and many others horse guard first and foremost is a military barracks and should be recognised as such and the tourist not allowed near our serving men, women and horses at all. Leave them alone to get on with the work they have to do!

Has nobody at horse guards learnt anything from the terrible accident. Get these people surrounding the horse away from it. It is about time these guards and horses were backed by their bosses and some way found to stop anyone getting near the horses at all. Horses are flight animals they are in a heightened state of fear all of the time. something as simple as a leaf blowing into the box can cause a melt down. Thank goodness they took the horse in, he was trying to rear and as we know that can lead to nasty injuries.
