Lyrics:
Girl You Know It's True
Girl I'm Gonna Miss You
I knew it from the start
You would break my heart
But still I had to play this painful part
You wrapped me 'round your little bitty finger
With your magic smile
You kept me hangin' on your lovers cross awhile
You put a spell on me
You took my breath away
But there was nothing I could do
To make you stay
I'm gonna miss you
All the love I feel for you
Nothing could make me change
My point of view
Oh girl, I'm gonna miss ya baby
Given all the love I feel for you
Couldn't make you change your point of view
You're leaving
Now I'm sitting here wasting my time
I just don't know what I should do

    • @johnnegrete9329 I had never heard a Mille Vanille song, but I did hear about Mille Vanille. I was born in 1960, and I suppose I wasn't interested in learning about who they were. It was only through happenstance that I caught a video of a podcaster interviewing Fab. I decided to search for a Mille Vanille song after watching the podcast, and I came across this lovely song. Cheers!

They were beautiful, got stage presence and could lip sing perfectly. They deserve to be praised. Whatever came out till date, still didn't change a thing to me. I love them. I still have the same effect in 2024. Masterpiece.

    • @@Mo-Reese8043 It sure did mess him up. I think Rob suffered a lot of guilt. You can see it in his face sometimes. He didn't like doing it. Notice as time went on he was getting really thin and tired easily in live performances. The start of drink and drugs I suppose. Too bad, Rob was a gorgeous man. In the song "Baby, don't lose my number" he looked absolutely perfect and healthy, but the guilt showed - it always did. RIP.

  • They were icons of their time, and without their unique look as a group I doubt the songs would have got anywhere near as popular. Just look at some of the artists today that produce chappy tunes but people still purchase them because of who they are. Sad with the passing of John, but he was proud if his contribution to the group. Marketing at its finest.

It was smart to have hired Rob and fab as the front as they had thst it factor. They are being paid lots of money to sing. That said, I think what happened to Milli Vanilli was awful and maximum shame was thrust upon them. I bet they weren't the only ones at that award show either who had their microphone turned off. There were powerful people behind the scenes who made these decisions, they got taken advantage of to a certain extent.

  • These poor dudes were used as puppets then thrown under the bus when the shit hit the fan, can you imagine what they had to go threw? It was so bad Rob R.I.P killed him self, I cant wait till there movie comes out and folks see the blame goes all the way up to the record label not just on these 2!! Either way this was great music and also showed us how nasty folks can be to people!

  • "Girl I'm Gonna Miss You" I knew it from the start You would break my heart But you still I had to play this painful part You wrapped me 'round your itty-bitty finger With your magic smile You kept me hangin' on a lover's cross a while You put your spell on me Took my breath away But there was nothin' I could do to make you stay I'm gonna miss you All the love I feel for you Nothing could make me change my point of view Oh girl I'm gonna miss you, baby Giving all the love I feel for you Couldn't make you change your point of view You're leavin' Now I'm sittin' here wasting my time I just don't know what I should do It's a tragedy for me To see the dream is over And I never will forget the day we met Girl I'm gonna miss you Like a honey bee You took the best of me Now I can't erase those memories Like a fairy tale You are so unreal You left a scar that's so hard to heal When you had a taste of paradise Back on Earth can feel as cold as ice I'm gonna miss you I'm gonna miss you I miss you Giving all the love I feel for you Couldn't make you change your point of view You're leavin' Now I'm sittin' here wasting my time I just don't know what I should do It's a tragedy for me To see the dream is over And I never will forget the day we met Girl I'm gonna miss you It's a tragedy for me To see the dream is over And I never will forget the day we met Girl I'm gonna miss you Giving all the love I feel for you Couldn't make you change your point of view You're leavin' Now I'm sittin' here wasting my time I just don't know what I should do It's a tragedy for me To see the dream is over And I never will forget the day we met Girl I'm gonna miss you It's a tragedy for me To see the dream is over And I never will forget the day we met Girl I'm gonna miss you
