    • I'm way older than you I'm sure and since watching football in the early 90's fans always compare young players to their former stars .so this will never stop as it's normal In football way before you was even born. This is the life of a footballer that you have to deal with .messi was the next maradona and everyone compared him to maradona .so he had to deal with it . And so every young player has to deal with that and if you cant handle it then play golf but then again you maybe compared to tiger woods

  • Echeverri don't belong at debt-laden Barca where Legend and Manager Xavi has announced his departure. Claudio belongs to Manchester City where there are fellow young and thriving south Americans like genius Julian Alvarez. He'll also have the tutelage of the genius and world best manager in Josep Guardiola. Claudio is an ideal Citizen who could become the long term successor to Genius KDB. Hallelujah, I say for Claudio. He'll have a most fulfilling career at Man City in England.

  • So far he's only shown stellar performances playing against 16/17 year olds. He hasn't scored goals in River Plate's first team and still has to mature a great deal. He's leaving too early, a little green for my taste and I fear that european teams might expect him to adapt immediately but he won't be able to do so.

    • @@arunk7408 i know, but his position (classic south american playmaker) doesn't exist in Europe, they'll try to transform him into multi-function attacking midfielder and I'm not quite sure he'll be able to do it. Watching him play lately I had the feeling he's not smart or versatile enough for the PL. But I might be wrong. I think Julian is a lot better than him, even if the hype around Echeverri is way bigger, ever since he's little.
