    • Im lucky, i got to speak to him for about 15 minutes in Queenstown NZ this weekend. A very nice guy. What struck me was his intelligence but also how actually gentle of a person he is when not fighting. Very calm nature. I didnt find him intimidating which is odd as he is a killer in the cage.

Also, the R-word which a lot of people are scared to mention for fear of being called racists. • I’m not people, I can tell that Izzy is not really an introvert and not really an extrovert. That apart from his theatrics on the world stage that he actually happily lives a very quiet inside life, one that is un-needing of attention. I can see through it because of how much every word he says it’s like I’m hearing him talk about myself. He’s a perfect ambivert just like me, and I’m not surprised that he’s dominating in combat sports because real niggas know. The mind is the most powerful force you have and you have to cultivate it very carefully, to remain real and never lose the real treasure that is in your soul. The force inside that just is, that visualizes, that calculates very deeply, and just dominates the space around it. I feel every word, I know exactly what he means when he says that they feel his presence. When they realize that the real deal is in front of them and all that they can do is freeze up. I absolutely love Nigerian fighters, Israel Adesanya and Anthony Joshua are my favourite fighters of all time.

    @daeviontaylor@daeviontaylor3 жыл бұрын
    • Fighters like him have an air of magnetism that attracts people into their orbit. For many of us, we're attracted to fighting because we view it as a metaphor for life. And that's because life is like war for many of us-every day we battle all sorts of forces working against us, internal, external, physical, mental, and so on. And champion level fighters like him are in a unique position to give advice that carries over to all those aspects of our lives and helps us to be sharper, stronger, and wiser. They have a way of saying things that we know to be true but haven't heard before or aren't able to articulate, and that type of expression elevates us by making the unconscious, conscious.

This new brand amazed the noodles eating community then, just like you're doing to MMA. Write a book with Eugene and you will be financially taken care of. Older and adult fans will know that they would've wanted a book written by Bruce Lee and IpMan. Your relationship is really special - very similar to Lee's respect for IpMan. Please keep to your roots - your confidence, skills, intelligence, respect for significant people, curious and ever learning attitude and humility(don't worry about haters' accusations of the contrary) make you very special. Your parents and family must be very proud. Lots of your respect.

    • Appreciate you being happy for me dog! Here's something else I wish I knew when I was 18: growth doesn't come from stagnation, it's a byproduct of pushing yourself beyond your limits. The problem is, popular culture highlights the leaps and bounds, so that's what most people focus on. But success really comes from the incremental gains. Over time, those small, marginal improvements add up. Yes, it's important to set ambitious goals. Most people know this, but where they slip up is by failing to detach from those outcomes. So once you establish that ideal for who you could be, pace yourself, detach from the outcome and focus on the day to day work necessary to get there.

It was genuine and you guys asked the questions most people won't dare to ask. And I saw Izzy in a completely different way. I fell in love with him after this interview. Hopefully you get so many subs just based on this brilliant piece of interview. You nailed it

  • This is a great interview. So much information from this. Watching the way he analyzes things and thinks is so phenomenal. Same thing with Jones. They both have such a smart technical way of fighting. There not fighters that jump into stupid situations. I think everyone is starting to really realize that once Costa got exploited he kept him away and then got the victory...in a smart calculated way. Jones did the same thing with rampage. Big heavy hitter Jones slowly just picked him apart. People are gonna say that Jones is unbeatable but Reyes gave him a tough run. Izzy wants this new challenge and the way he did it beating costa really shut all the critics up. Im sure a lot of people thought Costa was gonna win that. Izzy was always ten steps ahead and that shows he’s the real deal. Silva and Jones never happened. Even Silva told Izzy after there fight this was a passing of the torch Everyone wants to see this fight sooner or later The Jones fight is the one to make !!! 🤜🏼 💥 🤛🏼

    @perfamily@perfamily3 жыл бұрын
    • I'm a fan of them both because they're technically sound AND psychologically adapt. Jones said in an interview once they he prepares by envisioning all the ways he could lose, then works backwards to protect himself against all the possible downsides and so he's prepared for any possible outcomes. That's great advice, not just for fighters, but for everybody in life, whether they scrap professionally or not. After Izzy's loss to Jan, I lost hope for that Adesanya vs Jones match, but who knows. We live in strange time, so anything is possible. That fight with Costa was poetry.

  • This Man is So right about so much. Yesterday me & my friends fell back into talking about all this everything is the Matrix and when you realize it and control the game instead of letting it control you, You unlock the secrets of life and basically there's a cheat code and when you start to understand that and believe in yourself and do Good, Positive things it all just snow balls into more, better, bigger, easier, healthier, richer, smarter and everything you want is achievable. And Negativity does the opposite. So Stay Positive and Dream Big because Everything & Anything is literally Possible & Even the Impossible is Possible! Like Wizards and Sh!t I'm thinking! I'm a Future Wizard! LOL Real Talk! Everything is just working for me right now and I see it in Izzy for damn sure. Everydày, Everything is just in the positive & right, correct, flourishing and Winning Direction! Life is Good.

    • Rare comment right here, especially from a fellow combat sports fan. It's in our tribal nature to root for one while rooting against another, so comments like yours are always refreshing. I developed a deep respect for Izzy after this too, although I'm a fan of Jones too. He said something a while back in an interview that always stuck with me: "I visualize all the ways a fight could go wrong so I'm never surprised," and I've carried that advice over to my personal life with much success.
