  • Congratulations on President status. As an American, am very, very proud of how you present yourself, all the while showing total respect to your family, community and country. You always roll up your sleeves and jump in, instead of directing others to do so. You are a great role model and again, congratulations!

  • The watercolour of the library is magnificent. She had an eye for design, colour, atmosphere and nuance, with one of the most difficult media in which to paint. Other than what appears to be a coffee table (centre left) being 'off' in its perspective, the draughtsmanship for such a busy room is superb.

And, if anybody on the plant deserves to be President of a historical society in England it is you! I am 78 and enjoy watching you so much. I live in upstate South Carolina and am an Anglophile! Love love, love anything British and love your channel as well. I admire you so much! And, enjoy every one of your posts. What you are doing with Mapperton is nothing short of amazing and I am grateful that you share it with us. Loved the post on the currant jelly making. I grow only red currants and laughed right out loud as you were scraping the boiled over jelly into the jelly glasses. That is me! But, never fear, there is a solution! I had hoped to make one more trip to the UK, but not sure that will happen due to travel restrictions. But, nonetheless, I get to see you and your channel and that is so satisfying for me. Keep on keeping on! I love your channel and your honesty and love of the history of the family you are a part of now. How very lucky they are to have you 😘!

We have an old watercolor painted by an ancestor of my husband and unfortunately we didn't check the glass for UV and some of the colors have already faded. Such an interesting grouping of paintings and to be able to return home to Mapperton is wonderful!

As a painter myself not only would I love to see more about the paintings within the collection, but particularly those done be women artist and/women subjects within the paintings. So much history of women, both past and present gets overshadowed by all the moments to men. I hope that you will consider this in your future programming. I glad that you decided to focus your research on Alberta. We desperately need to remember the actual lives and their circumstances of women of our past. Thank you for such a wonderful video as always.
