  • Football is literally the only sport where the refs can celebrate with the scoring team every time they score a touchdown. So happy the way the refs celebrate. Nothing is purer than raising both arms in jubilation.

  • "The Immaculate Reception" at 15:30 is made even more incredible b/c of the rules at the time. Back then, a receiver couldn't touch/tip the ball to another offensive player consecutively before it was caught. The only way Franco Harris could legally catch that throw is if it bounced off of Jack Tatum and wasn't last touched by John Fuqua. The fact that it seems that did happen, that Harris made a shoestring catch, and this was a divisional playoff game all add to the lore of this incredible play. Definitely deserving of its spot near the top here. 👌

  • The play where the official knocks Tim Brown off his route is a bit suspect!?! I know when you're on the field you have to be aware of thier presence, but if you look back at the play not only does the ref dart right into his path immediately, but he looks right at Brown and takes more than a few steps directly into his path all while staring right at him! I'm not gonna say he intended to interfere with Brown and cause an int, but IMO he definitely did not at all attempt to get out of the way and literally went out of his way to block Browns path which seems to be intentional considering he's staring right at him while doing so!

    @daltiejul@daltiejul Жыл бұрын
    • I think that referee crews need to be held to account for intentionally interfering in plays in favor of a team in a game because it undermines their positions as unbiased officials in a game, and if anyone argues otherwise, then they can spend the rest of their lives inside of a prison cell in solitary confinement, and that is IF I am feeling generous, and ditto for the referee crews that allowed it to happen as well.
