Evening Wildlife Photography | Featuring the Exascend Vigor CFexpress Type B Memory Card | Nikon Z9
Today I am out with the Nikon Z9 to do some evening wildlife photography down in a forest pond. I have been in a bit of a slump with finding animals to photograph recently so I decided to head out to a park that I haven't been to in a few months to try to turn my luck around. As it turns out I was able to find more to photograph this evening than in the past week including beavers, kingfishers, and bluebirds. Thanks for watching!
Over the past few weeks I have been trying out the Exascend Vigor CFexpress Type B memory card. I have been using it to capture high burst rates of RAW photos as well as 4K slow motion videos and I have been really impressed. This card has the highest sustained write speeds of any card I have used and it has been really impressive. Love love love the kingfisher! I have yet to get a sharp photo of the dive! They fish frequently at a local wetland, but the sun is directly behind their favorite perch. That’s one of my wishlist shots! Also on the wishlist is a monster prime lens! 😊
Kingfishers are tough. They are very skittish and you often just need to sit and wait for them. They are definitely worth the wait though. A Prime lens is always nice to have! Thanks for watching.

I really enjoyed the video! This spring and summer I'm going to try to photograph some birds around the Cape Cod area (now that I have the 180-600 Z lens). While Sparrows, Robins, and Seagulls are common here, I'm looking forward to find / photograph some different types of birds, like the interesting ones seen in this video. This gives me hope that I’ll find something in New England that’s different than a Seagull or Sparrow! 😂😊
Thanks for watching! That’s a great lens to be see and photograph a bunch. The cape code area can be really rich with different species. I would suggest going to areas around water, that’s always a great spot to find a lot hanging out in a relatively small area especially once temperatures warm up. Things are starting to migrate north!
